Left a lot to be desired!

This was the only game in which I anticipated its release. The teaser trailers and the commercials added greatly to the excitement. The Game is very short compared to Medal of Honor: Frontline. I suppose they had to make room for the great graphics and sound but little else. The stories told by survivors of Pearl Harbor, The Philipines, and Bhatan were very appropriate and necessary to honor the Greatest Generation, but the game just left wanting for more. The game maps were too small and left little to explore like the PC Medal of Honor games (although they also tend to be somewhat linear). This game reminded me of the disasterous 2001 movie Pearl Harbor, except there was no love triangle to get in the way of the war. The game plot has left it open for a sequel, but I think EA should wait until the PS3 comes out although they are coming out with a PC version Medal of Honor set in the Pacific Theater.

I gave it 2 stars because the graphics and sound are excellent for the PS2, but lost points due to lack of content and gameplay. Rent this game before buying. If you get it for two days and are familiar with the Medal of Honor franchise, you should be able to beat it on normal level. Hard level is only hard on the last 2 missions where headshots are the only way to take an enemy down. If you must get a WWII shooter to own, try Call of Duty for the PC.

Great multiplayer mode

Whenever I play this game I do the multiplayer mode. It is very fun because you can set up bots to play on your team and the other teams. You can set up team deathmatch in every map in the game. It's an awesome multiplayer mode. The campaign however can get very confusing. You can't save the game unless you find a save spot. Overall though, this game is worth buying.

OK, that's it.

The title of my review says it all. It has many pros, but also many cons. I disagree with some reviews that say that this game is horrible, which it's not. I will list the pros and cons of this game now:PROS: 1. First MoH game on consoles to fight in the Pacific part of WWII. 2. Exciting multiplayer that is a real hit at parties or group get-togethers. 3. Features two authentic Japanese weapons and Japanese grenades. 4. Levels are based on true events including a breathtaking Pearl Harbor sequence. 5. Features interactive two player Co-Op story mode. 6. Has the ability to commandeer a tank and airplane. 7. Has the ability to use mounted weapons including machineguns and a mortar. CONS: 1. Semi-corny plotline. 2. Ending leaves room for a sequel that never came and will not come. 3. Extremely too easy, in story mode I have never died to this day! 4. Very annoying bayonet people that actually chase you! 5. Very bad graphics that do not compare with this game's predecessor (MoH Frontline) which I recommend buying over this! 6. Very few levels (has about 10 levels; Frontline has about 30!) 7. Levels are short and have you saying "Is that it?" (Frontline's levels are more in-depth and make you feel like you spent your time wisely.) Overall, it's OK. I'd recommend renting it first to see if you'd spend your money on it for real. Personally, I enjoy it and play it whenever my friends come over. Think about your decision. Research both Rising Sun and Frontline to see which you want (or you can get both!) Thank you for reading my review and I hope it helps.
