It seems as though this game was, first of all, not finished when it was released, and seond of all, geared towards people that can not keep up with first person shooters.
This is one ridiculously easy game, to the point of being insulting. The end is terrible as well. Worth it if you get it for free, but do not pay for this game.
it sucked!

at first i thought this game was great and everything but soon found out that it was horrible the graphics weren't that good and hardly any weapons were there and the single player is just plain boring after the first few levels. the online is ok but all it is is a free for all killing spree with no strategy whatsoever im glad i just rented this game and did not buy it
Disappointing

I now agree that MOH Frontline is the best. I waited patiently for Rising Sun, reading previews in the PS2 magazine. EA Games talked about how this one was twice as long as the first, with two central characters to play as. However, they decided to split the game in half, and release the sequel at a later date. I wish they could have told me that before I spent 50 bucks! I played the game only about 3 days before I beat it. When the credits started rolling, I thought it must be a joke, or that was the end of the first half of the game. But no, it was the end! In another review posted here, someone said they found each level a chore, and always looked forward to the next hoping it would be better. You couldn't be more right, its the same thing I thought at the time.
What I also hate about this game is the new features. You can't determine how far you want to throw a grenade, which has got me killed by an enemy that I overshot, or sometimes blow myself up. Also, the M-1 Garand was more realistic in the first game, as far as sound effects go. I own a real M-1 and they are much louder than they sound in Rising Sun. Even the gun crosshairs are too small this time to get a good shot. And what happened to EA claiming there would be new AI that you actually care for, you know the ones who when they get killed messes with you emotionally? There's not much interactivity with them, and I really didn't give a hoot when they died. The American character designs also look too neanderthal in some ways.
Although the game fails to deliver the same excitement as the first, I do have some likes about it. I guess the best part of the game for myself was the attack up the grassy hill on the howitzer at Guadalcanal. This was just like that part on the movie The Thin Red Line. As a big WWII buff, this game had to be in my collection nonetheless. However, I wish I would have just rented it, then waited till it was marked down to $20 before buying it. As for EA Games, they need to take a more in-depth look at the game and see how bad it is before making any more Medal of Honor titles. Hopefully the sequel to Rising Sun will be much better.

Spending fifty duckets on this game is like paying three bucks to play an old school Pac-Man game, once! Boo to EA for creating such a short game that is monotonous to say the least. The levels are too long, the enemy is too stupid. Is there even anything good to say about this game.... long pause....... oh I guess you could say that killing Japs this time instead of Nazis is cool????
Uh......not much here folks

As Frontline was an unbelievable game with intense depth and incredible difficulty, Rising Sun is a major disappointment with idiotic AI, poor level design, and short duration.
I absolutely loved Frontline and therefore salivated at the prospect of playing RS. The first level of shooting down Japanese planes during the attack on Pearl Harbor was inspiring as I actually felt I was helping the poor GIs crack back at the sneak-attacking enemy. However, the game slid downhill quickly and unceremoniously after that.
Many have gone into detail about this game's shortcomings but I will make note of two things. This game is WAY TOO SHORT. This is the biggest disappointment. Where it was an improvement over Frontline was the addition of a two-player coop mode. This was fun admittedly. However, after my best friend and I sliced through the levels and stupid Japanese AI in no time, we could hardly believe the game was over. We looked at each other in dis-freakin-belief. I felt like smashing the disc with a hammer and including the pieces in an envelope with a nasty letter to EA.
Do yourself a favor and play Frontline instead. If you already have finished Frontline, try Secret Weapons over Normandy or Freedom Fighters.

this game is RUBBISH!!! After playing all of the other medal of honour games this came as a huge disappointment i completed it in 3 days and the online play is just as bad and the multi-player thing that you dont have to go on line for it is rubbish too. Do your self a favour get a game like true crime fifa 2004 socom II and if you do buy it get from somewhere like Game as you will be able to take it back by day3 and swap it for a decent game. I'm saying this because i dint like the thought of gamers like me buying a rubbish game dont waste your time getting this!!!1

This is the worst game I've ever played. It is fun for 2 hours...That's right, I beat the game in 2 hours! It's not worth the 50 bucks you shell out for the game. It is also a mindless game where all you do is walk around and shoot people, it has NO purpose. Please do not buy this game, you are wasting alot of money.
