i played this at my friends house and couldnt put it down(my friend got mad at me:( ) the graphics are great and i cant wait to buy it!!!!PLUS IT IS NOT BORING AS SOME PEOPLE SAY.THATS A MYTH!!!!!!(MYTH)And they have racing chicks!!!!!!

This is one of the most greatest NFS games ever. High Stakes is good also. I do agree with u with the music but i think it goes fine with the game even though i dont like rap. But there r more than just 1 levels they r the same but different ways. But the plot on this is only one small part of town which is a low cop place most likely. The different tracks on one huge level is cool because it really feels like your underground doin the nighttime races. And another thing Gt3 aspec is a great game but u cant customize the cars but a little. NFS Undergroung gives u 20 cars with a bunch of accesories and u can make your own sweatheart. Give it some awesome body parts vinyl uniques nos wheels engines paint and neon and u get a masterpeace of both art and power. And Lastly another person sayed their is bad sound. For CRYING OUT LOUD GET SURROUND SOUND AND BOOT IT UP ITS THX SOUND thats the best sound u can get in a game right now. So listen up u gotta buy this game it kicks. its worth every penny.

This game is gonna wanna make you go out and buy a car and tear up the road. I don't own this game personally, but have risked getting caught by my bro by sneeking into his room(when he's not home of course) and playing it. Well worth 50 bucks. Including an extensive selection of cars and parts it's by far the best racing game I've ever played. The graphics are quite impressive i might add for PS2.

This game is unbelievable, screw what all of the magazines say because you can customize your car any way you want, and story mode is great. You start out as a amature with a little cheazy car, then as you progress you unlock everything from Nos to Spoilers, to roof scopes, everything. and when you finish you will probably finish with a skyline, rx-7 or a s2000. Story mode consist of about 111 races, and there is 5 different kinds 1. Drag 2. sprint 3. Drift 4. circuit and 5. lap knok out. I recomend it for any one that wants a game that will last them a long time, and be FUN!

If you do not own a copy of this game you live in the stone ages. The best game since vicecity for the ps2. I recommend this game to anyperson that likes racing.

This is the best out of many racing games I've played!! It is definitely at the top of my list, and I reccomend it for anyone who likes car/racing games!

This game has to have it all. You can pratically make any car your dream car. There are unlimited upgrades. I have already made 4 different careers, and I plan to keep it going. I cant get enough of it. You got several different types of races to choose from. You can race on easy, medium, or hard. If you thought Gran Turismo 3 was a cool game, well then you better buy Need For Speed: Underground because this game blows away all the competition.

This game, Need for speed:underground, is amazing! The graphics are some of the best i have seen on a racing game. I havn't been on any of the other need for speed games but if they are not as good as this I do not think I will. I havn't completed this yet but i will soon as i have the acuna RSX this goes 198 Mph with level 2 'NOS' that is not full speed either. i have not unlocked everything but the things i have unlocked are excellent all of the vinyls, body parts (no not for people), everything to do with the customization of the cars. In the challenges you can have Drift, Drag, curcuit and afew more these are brilliant for testing out your cars. They certainly put them to there paces! i don't know what I would if i didn't get this. It is just amazing for the cars, graphics and the realizm of driving. It isn't the same as other racing car games as, in this you can use both analog controls. The right 1 to accelerate nad brake and the other 1 to steer. I havn't experienced that on many games apart from 'The Getaway'. There is nothing, or not much, I do not dislike about this game. I like everything in this as it has no real competition with other games, well that is my opinion anyway. Overall I like this game and it is 1 of my best in ages so i would rate it high and recommend it to someone who likes racing games. Anyone who likes sport games will love this!

Since the Need For Speed franchise came into the video game world back in the mid 90's, there has arguably been no denying the success of trying to be the fast & the furious. Although it has shown its highs like Need For Speed III did with Hot Pursuit and its sequel Hot Pursuit 2, there also have been some versions with absolute lowpoints as well like Need For Speed Porsche Unlimited, and other smaller versions of the game too. Although the game remains a popular favorite, there have also been times where the need to be fast and furious can also be told in the shadows of the underground racing scene. That is said with this game.

Need For Speed Underground for the Playstation 2, is a game that does try to deliver into the need for being the fastest in the underworld. The game of course shows you as you try to work your way to the top by earning points to pimp up your look of your car, and the style as well from bumpers and spoilers, to faster engines and weight reductions. The game handles well in the graphics and the music as you go through several different races from sprints and circuits, to lap knockouts and the thrill of the drag racing scene too. Sadly, there are a lot of unfortunate disadvantages to this edition. One of them is the lack of courses. Even though they are all set in one big city, you will be battling the same courses more than once in each match of the game. Not only that, the controls are also a bit shallow too in some cars, where you might lose your grip and crash into an oncoming vehicle or train.

All in all, Need For Speed Underground isn't a bad game, but it just could've used some more variety. Instead, I really suggest you buy its sequel Need For Speed Underground 2, or Need For Speed: Most Wanted. There are much more thrills and challenges in those editions, that this one. This edition just misses the need for real speed.
