Get your Need for Speed with this great title!!!!!!!!!!

Gameplay = 10
There is nothing more important than gameplay, and this games hits the mark. I found myself feeling like a street racer, and the intense gameplay added to this. This game was masterful in the gameplay department.
Graphics = 10
There was a sense of speed in the game, and the cars and the city looked great. Every track was fun and the look was credible. Graphics rate a 10.
Fun Factor = 10
This was just a fun game. Serious at times because I love to win! It was a super fun game.
Storyline = 10
The storyline was just enough, and not over done. It let you start out with a no nothing car, trying to build you car and your street cred. You got reputation points, and with every win you gained in add ons for your ride.
Replay value =10
You could go on and on about this title. Replay value is solid for you money.

When I played this game for my Xbox with Componant Video from Monster Cable and HDTV It was crazy, I mean the graphics look so real it blew me away. It is the best racing game in the market espspeicially if you have Component Video Cable HOOKED up into an HDTV.I'm telling you to whom ever is reading this it's ok if you dont have Monster Cable and HDTV it will still blow you're head away from the exitment,rush,and fun with NEED FOR SPEED UNDERGROUND.

Better Rental than Buy!

I've rented this game twice now and have played a little over a week and am almost half way through it. Here are the problems with it so far:

1) Poor celection of vehicles to own and tweak in the beginning. I've played a third of the game in a VW Golf. After the first 5 races, I was ready to trade it in, after the next 25, I was losing my mind hoping my next win would unlock some better cars other than a weak Mitsubishi Lancer or sub par Nissan Sentra.
2) Even though I'm halfway through the game now, I'm still driving through the same city streets. The graphics are great, so it really makes you want to see something new after a while, because going around the same blocks every time just gets old after a few hundred races.
3) Music is only okay. For a game like this, it needs to be louder, more of, and better! Vice City really set the bar for music in driving games, and now I think it should be mandatory that the player should control the radio at all times.
4) Really no other characters in the games, just names and blank faces in between races.
5) And the biggest problem with this game - NO REPLAY ABILITY for your races!!!! It's criminal that you can't go back and watch a hard fought race or a spectacular crash. The game designers really messed up on this one.
6) Lastly, during the crashes, the cars are never damaged. It would have been cool if the game actually wrecked your vehicle during the whipe-outs, especially since we spend so much time trying to make the car look cool.

Here's what's good:

1) Pretty good graphics.
2) Real cars, unlike Midnight Club II
3) Tons of visual and performance tweaking options to get the car looking just right (even though they make it difficult to get to the things you want the most).
4) Different types of races from drag (very fun!), sprints, and circuit. This is the one addictive thing about the game is that it mixes things up so you never get too bored with doing one thing over and over again.

For hardcore race fans, go ahead and buy this. But for the average gamer, this is a better (cheaper) rental that will give you a good fix for $5 - $10.

This game SUCKS. the ai is totaly cheat, the cars are too fast traffic sucks, drifting is just skidding over the track like an idiot, the tracks are all the same, the only good thing about this game is drag racing.

Not the best street raceing game yet

Need for speed is great but it not the best street raceing game yet.Because in the game when you go to underground.You have to do about 15 or more races to get nitro in your car and besides the nitro dosen't even help you at all.The first nitro you get is called a street nitro and it dosen't help you at all.Then atfer that you have to do 15 more races to get pro nitro.IT will help you a litte but i wont very much count on it to help you to win a race.Their one more nitro that you have to unlock but it might makeing you crach up into a car or a wall.You have to wait a long time for you to tranfom your car like the ones that you will see on tv with diffent kinds of colors instead you get a pan white colors on the side of your car.And even if you do get it from some one they wont give you it for your athuor cars.YOU Cant move to diffent places around the world,also the jumps are get and all but i thouth that the game will have bigger jumps then midnigth club 2.I cant believe midnigth club 2 is better than need for speed underground because it had fix all of my complains you could travel around the part of the world and you could even jump over buildings.but expect for that i give need for speed underground two thums up.

i think any one who thinks this game is wrong just doesnt like cars. if u like cars then this game is sick. you can buy porfomance and visual upgrades. and the more levels you beat the more stuff you get. theres also some sick cars you can get like the eclipse and the hynduia and the rx7. definetly i recomend this to any one who has been waiting for a good street racing game.

p.s. you get nos>

The Need for Speed series just hit NOS

I just bought Need for Speed Underground and it is very addicting. The graphics are the best i've seen, and the car costomizing is very relistic. It is laking a free roam mode like Midnight Club has, but the gameplay makes up for it.

Bury this game Underground

Disappointing is not strong enough to describe this game. With all the fancy graphic touches and customizing options, this game lacks in one fundamental category: fun.

NFS has thrived because of it's get in and race simplicity, where the game grew in challenge as you progressed, with longer and more challenging tracks. instead, this game bogs you down with useless options (sure, you upgrade your vehicle, but choosing between 3 different level three weight modifiers is useless if all three are identical in performance but are just different brand names).

the tracks are stale and repetitive, and although there are over 100 races to compete in, the last race isn't any more exciting than the first. the game should build in excitement, peaking with the final race. this game just goes hoe humming along, tricking you into thinking that maybe you are having fun because you can change the color of every part of your car, from your spoiler to your break pads. I thought I bought this game to race, not play auto designer. bear in mind, none of these touches make you a better racer. you may have 30 different level three paints to choose from, but all 30 add to your reputation meter, so it doesn't really matter which of the thirty you choose. have I mentioned none of this is fun.

the drag and drift modes, while entertaining diversions, are just that: diversions. neither are very exciting or add to the enjoyment of the game. and any momentum that is built up when racing is disrupted everytime you have to race either one to move onto to the next set of races.

lastly, the grahics are just too dark. I got used to it, but I never was comfortable with it. I always felt I wasn't sure where to go, and the only way to adapt was to constantly glance at the map, taking my eyes off the race and the car or truck that always seemed to turn right into me. and in a game that demands you race flawlessly to have a chance at winning, every crash is disasterous, considering it is near impossible to race flawlessly in this game.
