not many people like this game BUT i cant believe that you actually have to find parts for a saber construct it and there is a brand new silver lightsaber crystal which really ROX!!!!
I RECOMMEND THIS GAME TO EVERY STAR WARS FAN IN THE GALAXY!

gameplay is more convient than the first.

ok well the combat is really enjoyble the only thing is the story is stupid and they have wacked veiw of right and wronge if you dont pay attention to the story or just down right weird teamates you probly won't have a problem with i rented and beat it in seven days(on the dot) hehe

and im going to buy it again and beat it again then in the next month or so im going to go hey kotr2 sounds fun i think ill beat it again
cuz i beat the first one like five times and im doing it again beleive it or not tons of hours of gameplay lots of fun never gets boring if you halfway liked the first or just like star wars get it beat it do whatever

the only thing i absolutly despised was the story and the light side ending
have'nt beaten it on the dark side yet.

Overall it was a pretty fun game, but it really didnt live up to the first one. The story would be so boring, and then after 5 hours, get really exciting; only to find that in another five hours it would get lame again.

The ending was kinda blah!

I mean for a star wars rpg its definitly a good fun game, but my all means dont count on it to hold you like the first one did.

I'm crying right now just thinking that i had to write a review like this for this game:(

First of all I have had no problems with my copy of KOTOR II, after about 15hrs of game play.
This game really suprised me since it wasn't created by Bioware that developed the first KOTOR. The Bioware creation of KOTOR I was great and I didn,t expect the sequel to match it's greatness. To my pleasant suprise this game is even better than the first!
I have a hard time putting down my controller to sleep. The quality of voice acting is good and there is plenty of interesting dialog in this game.
This game is a must for anyone how enjoyed the first installment and be prepared for some long gaming sessions once you load this baby up.

I just bought this game yesterday and let me tell you, It is an awsome game. It actually is almost exacly like the first game. They changed a few things you know, made it more user-friendly, but overall it is just like the game that won game of the year in 2003. There are a few bugs, but if you are not the most anal person alive, you shouldn't have a problem with them. Overal, this year the two big games are both sequeals to games of the year; Halo and kotor. Lets see which one wins.

The first star wars kotor game rocked i hope this one will to the first games develepers (Bioware) are working on another game (Jade Empire)so they will not work on this game so Obsidian is taking over based on other RPGs they've done, this game should rock

Better Than The Original KOTOR

Bugs and all (and there are bugs) this is the best RPG and Star Wars game ever. The story is deeper, darker and smarter than the original KOTOR, but the game is just as much fun. If not for the few, easily worked around bug, the slow load times and the sometimes annoying lag time this would be the perfect game. Some complain about a short ending, but by speaking to others (this is an RPG game); you the ability to have most of your questions answered. To me that is preferable than watching another cut scene. I would rather participate in the game than watch the cut scene.

Let me start by saying this is a great game! Lots of fun, great action, great storyline.

I feel for programmers who have to try to create a sequel to a brilliant game like the first Knights of the Old Republic. If you make it too different then one group complains that it isn't the same game. If you make it too similar then another group whines that it is more of the same. Almost impossible to please everyone.

These programmers did about as good a job as anyone could have done. First rate storyline with great character interaction (those who follow the dark side will love the character responces). New features like character influence and item creation are cool. Not having to run back to the ship for party changes is also very nice. Lots of new force powers and feats for the characters as well. Also has a touch of the martial arts with the different combat styles the character can learn. Others in the party can now be controlled easier with the combat tactics designation.

The only draw back that I think the game has is that the frame rate drops off during combat when the heat is on and lots of characters are firing. Needs an upgrade on the graphics engine (or maybe a new one altogether). However nothing that is serious or that damages the game play.

You also get to go to some of the planets in the first game. Reven and Malak are referenced as well as others who show up as well. This adds alot of spice for players of the first game, but it isn't necessary for you to have played the first game.

All around a great game. I enjoyed it very much.

Different websites say that it comes out in December but this website says Febuary. It was anounced that it was goint to come out in Febuary but they are way ahead of schedual and now people(games sites) are saying before christmass. It has it at christmas for ebgames. Does anyone know what is going on.
