This game is awesome!!

I havent actually played this game, but based on what i have seen so far, this looks like it could easily be the best game of the year. I am a huge Zelda fan, and in all my experience have not seen a more exciting one than this. The graphics are sweet! The only bummer is that you can't be an adult until the very end! Uhh! This looks like a pretty hard one, i must say. I will try my best not to use a strategy guide. If it's any where close to better than the first one, this is going to be one awesome game!

Wonderful Graphics, falls short compared to Ocarina of Time

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was the crowning achievment of the Zelda series. Chronilogicly, it was the first game in the series and it explained where everything and everyone came from and the histories behind Link, Zelda and Ganondorf.

Majora's Mask fell a little short of my expectations. Probably a more fun/happy kind of game, unlike Ocarina of Time, which had the general Zelda plotline-Ganondorf takes over land, Link must save land, Triforce must be saved. In this game there wasn't any Princess Zelda, no Ganondorf anf no Triforce.

This really was a good game, however. It was fun to play and I enjoyed it. The graphics were more enhanced than they were in the previous game too. It just doesn't fit perfectly in with the Zelda Series. The mask-changing is pretty neat. There are areas you can only get to and things you can only accomplish when wearing a certain mask. The story about the moon falling on the earth and the Skull Kid is all very good also.

Very Addictive

I bought this game for my birthday just last month when it came out and at first I was sceptical about the actual storyline of the game, I thought nothing could compare with Ocarina of Time. But after playing the game, the storyline is well planned and the game is addictive as usual. I'm still not done playing it but I will be soon. Buy it! It is one of the best games you can get on the market today! Don't worry about the name Oni-Link, you'll figure out what it means later in the game.

I bought this game when it came out thinking 'I hope this game isn't just like the other one'. I was thrilled when I played it. It is HUGE. When I started playing, i wasn't that worried because the first one was so easy. I was proved wrong. This game is a great challenge. With it's supreme graphics and controls, it is definitly one of the best games ever created. This is a MUST BUY!

The best of the Zelda series, and one of the top of the N64!

Quite simply, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is the biggest eye-popping and engrossing game on the N64 to-date. The graphics are sweet, and helped enormously with the help of the Expansion Pak, the story has to be the best in the series, and the play level is, for me, the best of practically any game I have ever played. For the graphics, the Expansion Pak has given us a lush world with lots more evilies than the Ocarina of Time could ever do. For the play level, even if you are living the same three days over and over again, its fun every time. I played the game practically six hours straight and still never got tired of it, and this was two months after I bought the game and beaten it. While the main adventure (defeating the four bosses in the four temples, and ultimately defeating the possessed Skull Kid) was not that hard to do, the side stories are numerous and fun to play, even if it is over and over again. S. Miyamoto and his brillent staff at Nintendo of Japan did a wonderful job at bringing in bits and pieces that make the game even more interesting. Among these is that you can check in-to Clock Town's Stock Pot Inn (which I think is very cool), help the innkeeper find her fiance, and there is much, much more. What else can I say, but this game rocks, and is a must for any N64!

Majora's Mask

Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask picks up where Ocarina of Time left off. The game is immense, and challenges the player to really use their mind throughout. There are plenty of puzzles, games, and events that will keep you guessing and very busy. The 72 hour clock feature adds some urgency to the game. Overall, it is very fun, challenging, and will offer hours upon hours of entertainment. There are two downsides to the game that I noticed. First, there were only 4 true dungeons/bosses. I always loved Zelda games for the amount of battle involved. Second, the game relies heavily on mini-games and puzzles to obtain necessary heart pieces. I, myself, gave up on about 7 of the mini-games and finished without those pieces. The more I tried at certain games, the further I didn't get. I personally would rather more dungeon bosses than frustrating games. Overall, I loved the game. Definately play Ocarina of Time first though.

Majora's Mask is a strange game: while it is a direct sequel to Ocarina of Time, it is clearly a Zelda game of a very different shade.

It begins with Link slowly trudging deep in the Lost Woods, with his trusty horse, Epona, when he is attacked by a masked and mischevious Skull Kid - who steals his precious Ocarina and Epona. Worse still, the Skull Kid turns Link into a Deku form of himself, and Link finds himself in a strange Mirror - like Hyrule. Things turn even worse when Link finds the moon slowly getting bigger over the course of 3 days...

Majora's Mask features the very same Gameplay as Ocarina of Time, with a few exceptions. The entire course of the game is set within 3 days or 72 hours - and hours seem to pass like minutes, giving a player a total of just over an hour. While this may seem off-putting, it is implemented very well - people have set schedules over the course of the game, meaning you will be pottering around the Clock Town while not in dungeons, with the promise of an upgrade - or even a new mask.

Masks, as the title suggests, play an important role - some make you run faster, talk to enemies, summen foes or sooth arguements and more. There are a total of 24 masks to collect, the reward being a mask containing "The Merits of all masks". The best of the masks are the ones that allow transformation. (Let's face it, who HASN'T dreamed of swimming as a Zora or rolling as a Goron) The Zora Mask, the Goron Mask and the Deku mask. they allow you to transform into all your favourites from Ocarina, each with the gifts of the species - Super fast swimming, Incredible strength, and, er, spitting nuts.

Majora's Mask is harder, darker and more original than Ocarina of Time - the unique aspects of the game are implemented very well but the way the game is played may be off-putting for some. Brilliant and totally original.

P.S. the start bits kinda boring.

Good, but very dark.

I have had this game for four years, and have just beat it a month ago. This is a very good game, but the mood is extremely dark. The "Moon is going to fall in three days" plot actually scared me. Other than that, it is good fun to fight bosses and test your mind with puzzles in the temples.

Not so hot. Ocarina of time is better.

When I first play this game I figured out a problem: the sights are the same and the characters too. Then, I felt trapped in a boring time limit, that is very bad for game playability. If you are a Zelda fan(like me) you have to buy this game, but don't wait for gaming all this people say here. This truly isn't the best game ever made !

An epic game with many different things to do

This game has everything you could want in it. Action, Adventure, Puzzle Solving, and even Racing. The game has many dungeons and is very challenging. You have to collect the Masks and stop the world from being destroyed by the falling moon. The game has a lot of replay value in the sense that you have to go back and finish collecting all the other things included in the game after beating the main part. This game is incredible and will leave you in awe. Everything is on the spot. I definintely reccomend it to any game fan.
