THIS GAME IS UNPLAYABLE AFTER JUST 5 MINS PLAYING IT I HAD TO STOP CAUSE IT MADE ME FEEL SICK AND DIZZY FROM THE GAME PLAY.EVEN MY GF WHO WAS WATCHING ME PLAY IT GOT SICK AND DIZZY FROM JUST WATCHING THE SCREEN.THE OTHER RESIDENT EVIL GAMES ARE JUST FINE I PLAYED THEM FOR HOURS AND NEVER HAD ONCE GOT DIZZY OR FELT SICK FROM THEM.BUT THIS ONE IS LIKE MEDAL OF HONOR FOR ANY OF YOU WHO HAVE PLAYED MEDAL OF HONOR YOU KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT.IT MAKES YOU SICK AND DIZZY PLAYING IT.DON'T KNOW WHY THE MAKERS OF THIS GAME COULDN'T KEEP IT LIKE THE NEW AND IMPROVED RESIDENT EVIL FOR GAMECUBE.THE FACT THAT THIS GAMES MOVEMENT MAKES YOU SICK AND DIZZY MAKES THIS UNPLAYABLE AND THAT IS A MAJOR FLAW.

Just so everyone is clear, according to Nintendo, RE4 is set for release winter of 2004. All RE fans can rejoice because they will not have to wait for 2005 for this game. That's good because I can't wait any longer...

What i mean is Raccoon city has been destroyed so has been 6 years you are leon you search for the presidents daughter in an abandoned villiage or is it realy deserted. leon also encounters a nefarius virus their are two task to be done which makes this game. Battle savages(not zombies) who are undead who attack you chain saws, crobars, and misc. guns. Bosses described as a troll and a gigantic salamander even battle Reapers. The game allows you to do more things like jump over fences, kick your foes and pick up the daughter. No other RE comes close. buy it today

I've only played the demo but it's really cool. i gave it 4 stars because i'm not sure how good the real thing will be. what i played was kinda scary, but not too scary. there were also no zombies which is good for me cause i don't like zombies. in the beginning of the demo, it shows leon driving up to a house in the middle of the woods. that's when you take control. i walked into the house and leon asks the guy if he's seen this girl. the guy turns around and comes at me with a knife. i pop him a few times with a pistol and kill. then i ran up stairs, grabbed some ammo, and jumbed out the window seeing as how villagers were breaking into the house. all this was just in the first few minutes. if you a huge fan of the series, get if right away. if you think it might be too scary or somethin, just rent it. bye.
Ridiculous...

This game won't even be out until Febuary 2005 and already people are giving it five stars? No one has even PLAYED it yet. Let's not all be snowed by another Capcom marketing campaign where a Resident Evil game has great graphics but annoying "glitches" like extra long load times, no save options, lack of storyline and playability. Wait until the game has been released, play it, and THEN give your reviews. I'm giving it one star just to keep people HONEST.
By my estimation, people can start believing the things they read on this board in February 2005.
Really awful how Playstation is only releasing Resident Evil on Gamecube, not Playstation 2, by the way. In case they have forgotten, Sony helped to get them where they were, but of course the money means everything to them.
The way they treat Resident Evil fans seems to mean even less. If you want to follow a textbook example of how to "sink" a franchise, follow this one. First, they fled to Dreamcast and wanted to give them "exclusive rights," briefly joined Playstation 2, fled again, then tried to give Gamecube "exclusive rights," then they went back to Playstaion 2 again briefly, produced 2 subpar games before fleeing again and once again stated this game would produced "exclusively" for Gamecube. Seems it's more fashionable to follow the money than to produce a decent game anymore.
This says it all!

Blah.. RE4!! That's a GameCube exclusive, It won't go anywhere. They wanna make the game all world, they forgot about choosing the right console. Why change RE to GameCube? It's a clear and ruthless move to attack the PS2 and old school RE fans. It seems somewhere along the line, you guys hurt Resident Evil and now it wants paypack like an EX girlfriend.
It doesn't exactly redefine the survival horror genre.

When I first began playing this game, two other games came to mind: 1) Tomb Raider and 2) Silent Hill. The manuevering about in this game and the methods of attacks is very much like the methods in Tomb Raider; except, unlike Metal Gear, this game is graphic in horror like Silent Hill. To really explain how these two games combine with some, although not much, Resident Evil style gameplay is rather long and descriptive, hence not really the place to elaborate upon it here. The basic point, however, is this is not a regular Resident Evil style game, but the same ornamental, affluent styles and horror graphics stays to the classic style of all the Resident Evil games. In this I can say this game has stayed with the trends of the series. Otherwise, most everything else is very much like the Tomb Raider and Silent Hill styles.
Great game, but .......

I think this is an excellent game, but you should wait for the Playstation 2 release in late 2005. Chances are good that the later release on PS2 will be packed with bonus material ala "RE: Code Veronica X." That is why I'm giving this version 3 stars --- yeah it's great, but I think all RE fans should be informed of this development. Think about it before making a purchase you might regret later.

Let me make one thing really clear if I haven't all ready: THIS GAME, AS WITH ALL THE OTHER RESIDENT EVIL GAMES, WILL SCARE YOU OUT OF YOUR SKIN. THERE ARE PEOPLE RUNNING AROUND WITH CHAINSAWS THAT CUT UP INDIVIDUALS, THERE ARE ZOMBIES THAT SUCK PEOPLE'S BLOOD OUT, THERE ARE DOGS THAT LOOK LIKE THEY'RE INFECTED WITH A CONTAGIOUS VIRUS THAT JUMP OUT AND RIPS YOUR HEAD OFF AND YOU ACTUALLY WATCH IT BEING DONE AND LEMME TELL YA, IT IS SICKENING!!! WHEN YOU SHOOT A ZOMBIE, THEY DON'T DISAPEAR. THEY JUST STAY THERE SO YOU CAN KEEP ON SHOOTING THEIR GUTS ALL OVER THE PLACE. AND YOU DO DO THAT AND IT IS A GROSS THING TO DO AND SEE AFTER IT IS DONE. I WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS AND ALL THE RESIDENT EVIL GAMES THAT ARE OUT THERE FOR THE GAMECUBE, WHICH ARE NOT TO BE ON THE KIDDIE SYSTEM. THE SYSTEM WAS DESIGNED FOR CHILDREN, THE RESIDENT EVIL SERIES WAS NOT. SHAME ON YOU, CAPCOM, YOUR GAMES ARE NOT FOR THE KIDS. PARENTS, GET YOUR KIDS MARIO GAMES INSTEAD. NOT GAMES THAT WILL MAKE THEM RUN TO HIDE IN THEIR BEDROOM UNDER THEIR BEDSHEETS.

As I'm sure you all know by now, RE4 is coming to the PS2 a few months after the GC release, and there are rumours that it will also be released for XBox after that. So much for the GC being 'the only system that could handle all that power'...
