the game is sheer amazing. grafics are great and the story line is top notch. i have never seen such impressive ai. as you may have heared re4 is a zombie free game and i could not be any more happy. sure looking after ashley may be a pain in the ass but the game is worth playing. it will take about 20 hours to beat the game but i dare you to play it once. starting a new difficaulty is worth doing. once you start a new difficulty with the dsame file you will be able to buy new weapons to mow down your foes. the weapon you want to save up for is the type writer. it has great fire power and has unlimited bullets. so you can blast away. well thats it for now?
THE BEST GAME

This game is awesome! the best I've played for the GC! Graphics are amazing and a bit too real when you lose your head ;)
This game might dissapoint some because unlike other RE, is more action and less "scary".
Bump in the night...

I don't usually play the Resident Evil games. Why? Because I always got killed by a zombie that I couldn't see! Capcom is justly famous for its useless camera angles, but not so with Resident Evil 4. The camera stays in one postition; over-the-shoulder for better aiming.
When I heard that this game was the best looking game on the GameCube (or any console), I had to play it. And I wasn't disaapointed!
Leon S. Kennedy (who first appeared in Resident Evil 2) is on a mission to save Ashley, daughter of the President of the United States. His search takes him to a small village in Spain, where people attack him to say "Hello". The first thing about this game is that you don't fight zombies. You are fighting living, breathing people that want to kill you in ways that'll make any Mel Gibson movie jealous.
Ashley isn't the only character in the game. Luis, a local, helps you on your way. Luis claims to have the cure to the parasites that have been invading people's bodies.

Resident Evil games are awesome.... not so much the movie. The game features an over the back Shooting system. No more Zombies killing you for the back side. Now you can see them. You can never relax in this game watching out for traps the Zombies put out. Or the new gameplay using the controlls to dodge and run away from objects. You cant even rest during the Cut-Scences, having to dodge a knife attack or watch out for a boss. The new gameplay will keep your hands on the controller at all time playing this game. The Graphics are perfect and Leon is still a fag, but who cares. I give it 5 stars
very good

Resident Evil 4 is the coolest and most enjoyable game I've played in a long time. I've got to warn you though, this game is violent, bloody, and challenging. The graphics are incredible, the best I've seen on the Gamecube yet(wait for the new Zelda...)and the action is non-stop. You're constantly thrown into situations where you are outnumbered but your arsenal gives you the edge with weapons like the shotgun and rocket launcher. The enemies are not zombies this time around, they're crazed, brutal villagers with chainsaws and pitchforks. They're also smart and will try to swarm and overwhelm you. The controls are intuitive and responsive. I can't recommend this game highly enough. If you own a Gamecube, you've got to pick this one up.

Resident Evil 4 delivers in every way imaginable. You play Leon, a former Racoon City Police Officer who is dispatched to Europe in order to hunt for the recently kidnapped President's daughter, Ashley Graham. The play controls in this game are great. The ability to hit enemies on any body part makes the game more realistic. Instead of a standard shot to the gut, you can shoot an enemy in the leg and make him fall, then pound on him while he's down, or you can shoot them in the face to make them fall backwards, grabbing their face, momentarily disorienting them. Once you rescue Ashley, you even get the opportunity to play as her when Leon gets stuck in a certain area. It sucks that she can't carry any weapons, but she can throw torches at opposing enemies and crawl under furniture to avoid getting hurt. The creatures and bosses are challenging and difficult, and the special weapons in the game are fantastic. Once you unlock the Chicago Typewriter with unlimited ammo, you can basically go through the entire game on one life (as long as the puzzles don't kill you). You'll be able to kick major butt with that weapon. The game is difficult in all the right areas and realistic to every last detail. Like most Resident Evil games, this one has its creepness factor at an all-time high. Once you enter the Island and encounter the Regenerators, you'll wish you have the Infinite Rocket Launcher (which kills them in one shot), otherwise they're difficult to kill. The El Gigante is hard, as is Krauser and the pond creature. One of best features of the game is the fact that even during the cinematic sequences, there are no breaks. The cinematic scenes have interactive cues. If you don't press a certain button during a cinematic knife fight, or example, you'll lose and die. Or if you don't hit the proper buttons while running away from a huge boulder, it'll crush you and you'll die. This feature is somewhat frustrating and will add to your total times killed at the end of the game. But it's partially this that makes it so much fun. Foes like chainsaw villagers, Regenerators, monks with shields, foes with exploding heads are all tough and might take a few deaths to pass. The extra features on the game are awesome. The Mercenary Missions and Assignment Ada are fun. Passing both of these subgames unlock special weapons that you can use during your mission on the regular game. The story is good and the creepy music all add to the complexities and freshness of the game. This is definitely the best Resident Evil ever. For people that don't fancy the Gamecube and only like the PS2 and XBox, they're sorely missing out on this game, which is exclusively for the Gamecube.

Resident Evil 4 is without a doubt the best game in the series. The addition of an action button to use to jump through windows or knock over ladders adds a new level of game play and enjoyment. The story line is almost flawless, with enough twist and turns to keep you hooked for hours on end.
