Cause Resident Evil 4 will be knocking at your door.
First Id like to clear things up. I am a HUGE RE fan. I loved the 3rd one the most. I have every RE game and beatin almost all of em' cept' for Code Veronica.
RE remake was brilliant and Zero was off the hook but Now....Resident Evil 4 will be the Best Game Ever...

It's bin awhile since we've had an RE story line after CV...And forget OUTBreak and OutBreak file 2 cause compared to Resident Evil 4 there crap. Now lets get to it

GRAPHICS HAVE IMPROVED ALOT SINCE ZERO..I didn't think capcom could do it...Way to go

The auto target or what ever it is, is now in full support

Every thing you wanted Resident evil to be is now in RE4.

The story is when Leon is assighned to find the Presidents missing daughter and he must go to some village in europe were he finds that all the villagers are mad phycos who want him dead...but thats not the whole story...there not acctually zombies and there not humans either...what the hell are they then is what you ask?....I have no clue...But it seems good.

This will also be the longest RE ever...It's bout fifteen hours or longer I think...But thats all I can tell you..

The only problem is that on amazon It says the release date is FEB, 2005...I can't believe this.

I was hoping for the game to come out in Fall but amazon may be wrong but I donno' and if anyone does know can you please post it for me because at E3 they said in the trailer that it would come out in WINTER 2004...

Well Later RE fans...I'm out....
PS..THIS WILL BE THE BEST RESIDENT EVIL GAME EVER! HELL! BEST GAME EVER!

What i mean is Raccoon city has been destroyed so has been 6 years you are leon you search for the presidents daughter in an abandoned villiage or is it realy deserted. leon also encounters a nefarius virus their are two task to be done which makes this game. Battle savages(not zombies) who are undead who attack you chain saws, crobars, and misc. guns. Bosses described as a troll and a gigantic salamander even battle Reapers. The game allows you to do more things like jump over fences, kick your foes and pick up the daughter. No other RE comes close. buy it today

Just so everyone is clear, according to Nintendo, RE4 is set for release winter of 2004. All RE fans can rejoice because they will not have to wait for 2005 for this game. That's good because I can't wait any longer...

When you look at games you look at not only graphics but gameplay. Well Capcom the producers of the hit survival series Resident Evil are making there next installment in the series. Promised by the head of Capcom themselves to be the best, longest,most horrifying graphical game you will ever play. The Gamecube is a very small system but with great features and lots of unknown power wich is used to the limit with Resident Evil 4. The graphics stated by Nintendo,Sony,Microsoft and Capcom saying they have never seen something so beautiful and realistic and that they even admit the PS2 and Xbox couldn't handle this. When major companies say that you know this game is going to own all. Now besides the graphics what about the story, controls, and features the game has. Well you are Leon S. Kenedy from Resident Evil 2 back to have some more fun with zombies now called villagers. At E3 when we got a chance to play RE4 we learned the T-Virus and Umbrella are gone but they still tie in with RE4's plot someway later on in the game. The new type of zombie called villagers are far more freaky when playing the game and still have traits of zombies like unbelievable strength, unhuman and very sick. Later on in the game they get more slow and diseased looking. Whenever the church bell rings attacking you or not they drop everything and slowly walk towards the church. There are several locations in the game and we got to play two diffrent areas the insane town and the dark castle wich had all new kinda of monsters and villagers Capcom soon will release information on. Theres alot more areas then just the town, and castle but nothing we have seen yet. The controls were a issue in the old Resident Evil games for some people thats why Capcom changed the controls but didn't. What I mean is alot of people liked the old controls so Capcom kept them and redid the camera angles so that it always is behind you so no more pushing forward to go back and back to go forward. Sound is so amazing in this game that you think you were in the village or castle wherever you are it doesn't matter the sound will be right with you. Now for some features. No more aiming just straight, up, or down aim wherever you want with the new aiming system allowing you to shoot the head of the villager every time, the leg or arm. You can hit the A button to jump in and out of windows to get away along with shoving and hitting the villagers attacking you. The reality of this game was truly amazing to everyone at E3 this year when we saw what will happen in actual gameplay. Leon ran into a house while serveral villagers screamed and moaned outside in a foreign language. They started to break the windows, bust open the doors and chuck things into the house. All the sudden a chainsaw started outside and the windows on the second floor of the house you could hear were broken by villagers rushing in. Leon jumped through the window and turned only to be met with the chainsaw man who smashed the chainsaw into Leons chest and just starred at Leons eyes from about 1 inch away. The gore is so high that it beats any other game because the blood from the chainsaw hitting Leon started flying everywhere and drenched Leon along with the crazed villager. I will leave everything else upto you to find out but for now pre- order Resident Evil 4 and start being infected.

Resident evil fans, Be affraid, Be very affraid, Because you heard what the creator of resident evil 4 said at E3, He said not to pee your pants. First of all they had to change the game 3 times because they messed up on the storyline, In November they showed a preview of resident evil 4 just to get everyone excited which featured leon walking down a hallway holding a flashlight, Then they showed another video were "Pretty boy" leon kennedy is walking in the umbrella Facility, Umbrella, kiss your ass goodbye, Because resident evil 4 is no longer associated with you! eek! Like they said you have never seen resident evil 4 like this before your going to be expecting a whole new different gameplay, And If you think your going to be getting into the habit of not being scared when your walking down a hallway just because your between two walls,Your Dead wrong, They arent always going to be coming from you From the back or front anymore no way kiddies they are going to pop out from all sides when you least expect it so watch your back! And second of all take a look at the graphics for this game they are beautiful! Resident evil zero's graphics go second place with this badboy. As far is this game is concerned ps2 owners, You might as well now shut your mouths about how kiddy the gamecube is... You are obviously jealous that resident evil is comming out for gamecube and not for ps2, Oh yeah and what did you say before? Kiddy games was it? I dont think so. Lets face it, sony isnt really a game companie, nintendo does only games which is why they innovate ways to play

Blah.. RE4!! That's a GameCube exclusive, It won't go anywhere. They wanna make the game all world, they forgot about choosing the right console. Why change RE to GameCube? It's a clear and ruthless move to attack the PS2 and old school RE fans. It seems somewhere along the line, you guys hurt Resident Evil and now it wants paypack like an EX girlfriend.

Fear awaits...

I managed to see some footage of the game being played at this years E3 and here is what I got.
Resident Evil 4 is based 6 years after the massive nuclear strike which blasted all the zombies off the face of Racoon City. Leon Kennedy managed to get away unscathed but it isn't over for him. After getting special training from a secret agency, he's kitted off and sent to rescue the President's daughter Ashley.

The first thing you notice is that the whole game is in proper 3d. No more frames people, now it's a little like Zelda. Second thing you notice is the fact that there are barmy villagers armed with chainsaws and axes who are intent on killing Leon for whatever reason. Why they want to is still a mystery but it is terrifying. The graphics are great and so are the ways in which the villagers react. Shoot them in the leg and they will stumble where as if you shoot them in the head then... eeeeeeewwww!

There is also the introduction of some monks armed with scythe blades. Whoever these guys are, they have some hold over the villagers and a few of them look a little like zombies... could it be that the Zombies might make a return. Who knows.

Ashley will also be a playable character as she will be needed to solve different puzzles. She has a seperate health bar which if it falls to 0, then she dies and the games over. However, she also seems to be coughing blood a few times. Could she be effected by a virus. Hopefully she won't go all mad on us and try to rip our head off because if she does then Leon would have to kill her and that would be awful. (Plus the president would be a little miffed.)

All signs point towards a successfull game as Resident Evil 4 shapes up. With extra gore, extra visuals and extra fear, Resident Evil 4 looks good. It looks very good...

This game is going to kick every other games a** in 2005. It will be a close running between this and the new Zelda. The graphics are the best ever seen on the Gamecube and maybe some the best ever seen on a console!!! The game already looks to be a Game of the year nomonie for 2005!!!!

This game won't even be out until Febuary 2005 and already people are giving it five stars? No one has even PLAYED it yet. Let's not all be snowed by another Capcom marketing campaign where a Resident Evil game has great graphics but annoying "glitches" like extra long load times, no save options, lack of storyline and playability. Wait until the game has been released, play it, and THEN give your reviews. I'm giving it one star just to keep people HONEST.

By my estimation, people can start believing the things they read on this board in February 2005.

Really awful how Playstation is only releasing Resident Evil on Gamecube, not Playstation 2, by the way. In case they have forgotten, Sony helped to get them where they were, but of course the money means everything to them.

The way they treat Resident Evil fans seems to mean even less. If you want to follow a textbook example of how to "sink" a franchise, follow this one. First, they fled to Dreamcast and wanted to give them "exclusive rights," briefly joined Playstation 2, fled again, then tried to give Gamecube "exclusive rights," then they went back to Playstaion 2 again briefly, produced 2 subpar games before fleeing again and once again stated this game would produced "exclusively" for Gamecube. Seems it's more fashionable to follow the money than to produce a decent game anymore.

Review based on Demo

I have been playing the demo and this review is based only on it, since this game will not be released until February, although I now live in Japan, so ill get it a bit sooner.

So far the game is amazing. The graphics are on par if not greater than the REmake or Zero. The demo takes place on a foggy looking day, and the atmosphere may not be as spooky as the night with zombies, but don`t worry that all changes. The enemy here is much smarter making the strategy different then any other RE game, in that you actually have to be smart about your shooting because they can duck and they will charge you in masses. The other great thing is when you do get a shot off they stumble, not like the zombie who keeps charging until you put enough slugs in it to fall over.

The camera being behind you is a new feature that I enjoyed. It still makes things a bit eery in that your following Leon and get his perspective.

I can`t judge much on story yet as the demo doesn`t go to far into detail but it is RE and it is Capcom, so Im going to put my money on the fact that there will be many twists and Im sure Umbrella will eventually show up somewhere in the game as well. As for all the die hard RE fans out there who are complaining because there doesnt seem to be any zombies last time I checked zombies were the rejects of the virus, basically a failed side effect so you`d figure after 6 years they`d improve upon their viruses and make some new types of monsters, Im sure there will be plenty for you to bite on...Just give the game a chance and remember every story has to move forward eventually otherwise it just becomes a joke, how can a company such as umbrella have so much power but cant figure out how to improve its products, or someone else doing it for them.

So until the full game comes out this is something to look forward to. It is intense and the new features such as breaking through doors, windows...and no real loading time is amazing. Overall I have a feeling this will be an amazing adventure for any gamer RE fan or not.
