Killer Game

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 1 / 1

This game is fun, has a good learning curve, and incredible graphics. Even better than SoulBlade, the previous game, with so much more to offer. It makes buying a Dreamcast almost worth the money.

This game is one of the best detailed games i've ever seen. If it were a movie it would get Two thumbs up.

If there's such a thing as perfection...

If perfection can be obtained in a video game, Soul Calibur has found it. The game has so many in's and out's it's amazing. I've always been a fan of bells and whistles in a game, and Soul Calibur delivers that. Well beyond that, and more importantly, the game play is flawless. After a few hours pounding on the buttons, you'll find yourself performing moves with such regularity it will seem like second nature. Although swinging through hundreds of moves can seem overwhelming, none of them are neccesary. You can simply play using the 'normal' functions just as easily, which helps make the game much easier for some younger players. (Although the violence aspect may be frowned upon by some parents, there's no extensive blood or gore.)

THE BEST FIGHTING GAME EVER

This game is pefect. it has lots of options and the mission mode will keep you coming back for more. The art gallery adds lots of replay value but the last 16 pictures cost about 2500 points!(you get about 300-400 points each battle) If yo like fighting games or any type of game, for that matter you should get this game!(and a VMU)

In a word Perfect

Soul Calibur rules! This game has the most awsome grafics i have ever seen! If you have a friend this game get you saying i want a rematch more than you would expect. Unlike most fighting games matches are won by actually knowing what to do, not thumb dexterity. Also the many game modes and secret carachters will get you coming back every chance you got. So if you want dreamcast or already have the first or next game to buy is soul calibur.

This is the best game available for the Dream Cast.

With character designs that rival the visuals found in the prerendered cinima scenes of some games such as final fantasy 8 soul calibur is definetly the best looking game curently availible in this country. With multiple easter eggs such as hidden features, characters, weapons, and options soul calibur will definitly entertain for months to come. All of the characters are beautifuly motion captured with realistic animations which add to the already realistic graphics. This is definitly a must buy for all Dream Cast owners.

THE GREATEST FIGHTING GAME OF ALL TIME.

NAMCO HAS CREATED A MASTERPIECE IN SOUL CALIBUR. THE GRAPHICS ARE JAW-DROPPING AND THE FUN IS EVERLASTING. BUTTON MASH YOUR WAY TO VICTORY OR PERFORM DEVASTATING COMBOS ON YOUR FRIENDS. THIS IS A WEAPON BASED FIGHTER, SO IT DEFINETLEY IS BETTER THAN TEKKEN. THE MISSION MODE BOASTS ROUGHLY 30 MISSIONS, SOME EASY, SOME VERY DIFFICULT. FOR EACH MISSION COMPLETED, YOU GET POINTS, WHICH YOU DISTRIBUTE IN THE ART GALLERY, WHERE YOU UNLOCK COOL STUFF. ALSO, YOU CAN UNLOCK MORE CHARACTERS AND STAGES BY DEFEATING THE ARCADE MODE. THIS GAME IS INCREDIBLE. THE ONLY CON IS THEY NEVER REALLY EXPLAIN THE CHARACTERS OR STORY OF THE SOUL BLADE TOO WELL, AND THE GAME HAS NO RENDERED BEGGINING AND END. MAYBE ALL THE QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED IN SOUL CALIBUR 2 FOR PS2.

One of the Three best DC games!

This is in the top three DC games, besides Crazy Taxi and NFL 2K. It has the greatest graphics and an easy gameplay. I have owned this game since October 99' and I still to this day play it on occasions. This is a must have for all DC owners!

The arcade game Soul Caliber in your own home?

Being an avid Tekken fan the only other fighting game that has ever really piqued my interested was Soul Edge in the arcade. It didn't play like Tekken games but it was cool. So then I hear of this system entitled Dreamcast. I was skeptical of all Sega products because of the many flops and poorly handled systems(i.e. 32x, Saturn). I then heard that Soul Caliber was coming out for Dreamcast, I was not enthused but rather curious. Soul Caliber has the best graphics for any fighting game I have every seen. It also plays very well, I was excited to see the new grab moves and combos that were available. It isn't button mashing heaven like Tekken series, but it is definitely worth it to buy. I love this game.

10 characters, the ability to unlock new characters and levels, and more weapons than you can muster. All this in a fighting game? Not just any fighting game, Soul Calibur! Smooth Graphics, awesome attacks, large/small weapons, and a good competition. You slice apart the enemies with swords, shields, rods, and giant axes, and the ultimate weapon, Soul Edge. The last enemy wields the giant Soul Edge. He is made of fire. His name is, obviously, Inferno. Fun game, painful moves, and move-all-around arenas make this game a *smashing* hit. For Dreamcast owners.
