Until Soul Calibur 2 hits the shelves, I am not going to disconnect my Dreamcast. Soul Calibur is still the best game ever, and for the prices they are now, is better to buy a Dreamcast and this game than to buy a $50 game for any other console.
Grab it before it's allllll gone!

Instead of telling how good this games is and all the great fitures it has OH!! and of course the graghics cause there really nothing to say, I mean the games pretty much speek for it self. If you own a dreamcast the hek this game alone is worth buying the Dreamcast for. I insult you if you are a dreamcast owner and don't have this game. No second thought about it just get it, capish.(If you can)
the best game

Awesome! Definitley worthy of a five star rating. We often played this game at work for hours where the competition was intense mitigated by outbursts of laughter. Some people preferred the zen type characters, others the more direct powerful but slower brutes complete with axe or broad sword and shield. Just some sophisticated combo moves which really surprised. Loads of enjoyment. Would love to be able to purchase this game in New Zealand!

This old game is an instant classic and would probably be regarded as one of the best fighting game of all time. This is a very deep fighting game. I would not even go to graphics, most games nowadays look good anyway. What stands out in this game is the fights. The motions in this game is fluid and very intuitive. A couple of reviews noted that a person can simply mash the buttons and win. That is true only if you have 2 novice players. Novice players are no match for the skilled player no matter how much mashing they try to do. This is the beauty of this game. The mastery it takes is different than other fighting games. Mastering one character is not enough either. Two of my favorites are Mitsurugi and Cervantes. To me, they are different in the sense that play absolutely differently. Mitsurugi requires patience, lots of it. He is the master of counter attacking opponents. Cervantes however is more effective as the aggressor as his combos can be chained together better. The value of this game too depends on who you play with. Even with the computer set to ULTRA, they can still be beat constantly (not easy at all). Playing against a skilled player, priceless!!!.
The perfect game

Soulcalibur is the best game on the Sega Dreamcast- it's as simple as that. I can't even explain in words what this game has to offer! I had never been a huge fan of fighting games, but when I played this, the tables turned. This game has the most depth and detailed graphics of any I've ever seen by far. It has probably the most beautiful backgrounds ever, perfect gameplay, an astounding soundtrack, fast weapon-clinging action, just to name a few. That's not even mentioning all the game modes and the exquisite art gallery. The character detail and design is so colorful, real, artistic, and smooth it'll blow your mind. This game is the mother of all fighting games, blowing any Tekken (especially Tag Tournament) into the ground. Tekken would be good if you could move faster than a turtle. Plus it's some really good epic scenes of each character, and each character is unique, in both multiple costumes and weapon use. Their names are even awesome, their outfits, moves, fast action combos, etc. This game is just too much to talk about- you have to see this for yourself! Fighting has never been better! If I owned Sega, the Dreamcast would come with this game at a minimum! This is a MUST OWN title for this system- it's incomplete without it! Buy it today!
Beautiful simply beautiful

It has awesome graphics, excellent gameplay, the control is easy to manage, the combos and some tricks are very diffiult to execute but once you have the technique is very easy. This game is so cool. Everyone should have one copy of this awesome title in his house.

This game is the greatest fighter to ever exist. No other game even comes close. Nothing.
Let's see.
Graphics: 5 out of 5.
Sound: 5 out of 5.
Controls: 5 out of 5.
Replay Value: 5 out of 5.
Now for more detail, The graphics are beyond belief. This game has the best graphics on DC. Even later games still haven't matched it. The sound, well the songs are catchy and non-annoying for a change in most fighters. The controls are so simple and yet so deep. Blocking actually is fun in this game. Yeah, Blocking. And for the replay value, well this game's mission kode has so many twists thrown into fights, its very, very cool. Plus you can unlock artwork that's very cool.
All in all, this game alone is worth buying a Dreamcast. But this game will soon become the 2nd best fighter around. Soul Calibur 2 is coming out next year.
Best fighting game ever created

Title says it all. the movements are fluid, graphics are more realistic than any of its predecessors. Highly recommended, if you like Tekken or DOA.....this blows them both out of the water.
THE best fighting game i've ever played.
