Welcome back to this stage of history!

first off, those who contributed negative reviews are dullards. they must haven taken on the captain or someone else on Team Super.

The characters possess more beauty than any real human being. Even that pederast, Edge Master. The not-really-halfbreed, Lizardman (come on, he's about 80% lizard...there are practically no mannish qualities save for the sword and shield) is better looking than most guys that went to my high school!

don't be too offended by the presence of that seemingly aryan Siegfried. He's actually a Keltic hero. Those flowing golden locks are reminiscent of a 1998 Brad Pitt, though.

If you like your women foxy, there's plenty to go around. Though, disappointingly, most racial and ethnic minorities aren't represented. Sophitia, meow!

The designers of the game's weapons would give Freud a field day...but, now, we all know that Freud is an utter moron and his notions are more befitting carny folk than your everyday Mr./Mrs. Corporate Drone.

you know, my team super comembers actually call me Jake-mare. Andrea is Lizard"man," Scott is Kilik, Davin is Voldo, Aaron used to be Siegfried.

oh yeah, the graphics are pretty good, it's kinda fast, and the game play is pretty good too.

Wow, Wow, Wow....

I have been an avid video game junkie since Atari Pong... I love all sorts of video games. However, fighting games are about my favorite. when I first saw this game I almost could not believe it. The Graphics are outstanding...really they open up a new pinacle of visual awe, that so far, has only been matched by another title called Dead Alive 2. As far as Mechanics...each player has so many different moves, it took me about 1 week of solid 4 hours a day playing to start to master one charachter. The sound is of orchestral quality that at times will meld seemlessly into the game making you not even really aware of it... On a final note I really enjoy this game, I mean who cannot enjoy a game where characters move and react like people, and in the background of this one scene there is a sunset that is, for lack of a better phrase, "life like"(It actually looks as a sunset would)....This added with all the extras hidden throughout the game makes it a must buy.

Soul Calibur: Possibly the best fighter ever!

If your looking for one awsome fighting game with unbeliveable graphics, lots of characters, and realy awsome game play and replay-ability, then buy Soul Calibur. With the enormous power of the Dreamcast console to run this beast, Soul Calibur delivers in all parts of a great fighting game. And with all the extras you can unlock, you will be playing this game for weeks to come without all the repetiveness of other fighters out there. If you get a Dreamcast make sure this is the first game you buy!

Amazing, awesome, PERFECT! So many things to do and it NEVER gets old. I've tallied more than 1500 fights with this game, and it still drops my mouth in awe. If you need a varied, simple yet complex, graphics powerhouse of a game, you NEED Soul Calibur. Namco has even included extra modes (other than the awesome mission battle mode) like exibition, where you can see your choice of character do a form, and intro edit, where you can change the character sequence in the intro. There are tons of things to do in this game, move wise. You have to sit down and really try if you want to master it, yet if you just wanna have some fun it's easy enough to pick up and play. Another plus is the more advanced blocking system which allows you to not only block, but parry away attacks and follow with a counter. 10 stars. GET IT!

5 stars is not enough...

...to truly reflect how beautiful this game is, in both graphics and play mechanics. If you could only buy one game with your Dreamcast, it had better be this one. It never dulls, the fighting system is so compelx yet simple to use, mission mode and the art gallery unlock hidden characters, stages and game modes, and team battle and surivial modes add a little variety. But this game truly shines with another buddy in the versus mode. HERE'S A TOAST TO NAMCO FOR FINALLY JOINING FORCES WITH SEGA!

Soul Calibur is unquestionably the greatest fighting game on any system, ever. It is the most graphically impressive Dreamcast title to date, and has set a new standard for all games to follow. This game got a perfect score in every major videogame magazine. It is reason enough to buy a Dreamcast, and if you already own a Dreamcast but don't own Soul Calibur, what are you waiting for? You need this game, it is a must buy.

Soul caliber is the number one reason to buy dreamcast. well it really is a great fighting games but if u turn up the difficulty level it really starts to get hard. There are many features and if very loyal to the arcade. This is the game to get for all you sega fans because when playstaion 2 comes out this will be segas best argument against tekken tag and the bouncer anouned for psx2. so do yoour selves a favor and pic this games up, its definitely worth it.

This is the ultimate fighting game. The graphics are great and the detail is outstanding. This is a must buy! If you are trying to look for the best game out there, you've just found it. Every day I play this game alone for at least 2 hours. I still haven't beaten it completely which shows it isn't one of the games were you can beat it in a day and then you don't play it any more. The multiplayer is really fun and sometimes I sit there and play 50 rounds with my brother and we still don't get tired. This is the greatest game EVER!

Soul Calibur was the very first DC game I bought on 9.9.99 and it's still very pleasing today. Some games loose appeal after being finished, however will Soul Calibur you're always one or two button clicks away from learning a new move and this holds true months after purchasing the game.

If you like and/or own other Namco fighters, SC will be a valid purchase for your game collection.

Best fighting game of all time!

Soul Calibur is a flawless game with great graphics and sound. The game had a great amount of secrets to uncover including 9 hidden characters. The game has a great replay value, I have had it for over 4 months and I still frequently play it. Their is a large amount of moves that each character can preform, actually each character has over 100 moves! The misson mode is unique because no other fighter that I have played has had anything like it. During misson mode you can unlock secrets within the game . After completing a mission the game will award you with a certain number of points with these points you can purchese 'art cards', some of them do nothing, but some actually unlock secrets through out the game. If you haven't already gotton my point than GET THIS GAME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
