This game is a good game. Graphics are better than the previous Super Smash Bros. More characters and unique characters. Difficulty various because you can choose your difficulty level. You can use the Gamecube controller with it.

This is actually my 10-year old daughter's opinion: This game is good for almost anyone. It has different games for different people, so everyone has something they like. It has a storyline mode which is easier for people like me to relate to. Then there is straight out battle mode for all you ambitious boys out there.

This is a WONDERFUL game, Dynamic graphics, muti player EVERYTHING any gamer would want in a fighting game. The downfall.... My wii plays all my other games and NOT Super Smash and unfortunatly the ONLY fix for this is to send the Wii back to NOA, it takes only 5 days to get the Wii back but I at this moment am waiting for my Wii to return to me once again. The 1st time I had sent my Wii out it came back and Super Smash worked exactly 2 times, then poof again with the same error sooooooo Off again goes my Wii. Still waiting.... "Fingers crossed" ........ bottom line review....THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!!
Different, but Amazing

This game is different from Melee, but of course the structure and basic moves are the same. The developers added many new challenges to the game, giving many hours of achievement gameplay, and some old features, such as getting new trophies with coins, are much more interactive. Overall, the game is extremely fun and addicting, the new characters have new unique moves to learn, and it is a joy to play. Highly recommended buy for anyone who likes video games on any level.
Somehow lives up to the hype

I could go on and on about how much fun this game is. I will save you the time and just hit the highlights. Graphics look fantasic on a LCD HD Screen. Soundtrack is one of the best (maybe the best) I have ever heard for a game of this type. Ooodles of options, and extras. At the end of the day, the fun factor of kicking your friends butts on Multiplayer puts this game over the top. I have nothing but good things to say about this game.
A Very Good Game

this game is great and fun to play with other people. The adventure mode thing (Subspace Emisarry) is way better than the strange adventure mode of melee. Good game....worth the money
not too different from melee...

...and I really liked melee (and I loved the N64 version also lol). Brawl has a few more additional features, but I expected a lot more in game play. Since I don't own the game, I wouldn't really be able to tell too much of a difference between this one and the last.
It's a great game, though, nonetheless, and I'd definitely recommend it. Awesome party game.
Not as good as the first two.

To preface this review: I love the first two smash games. Also, a 2nd party developer known as HAL Laboratory developed them. HAL did not, however, develop Brawl; Sora Ltd did. And I think that's why this game is not as good as the first two.
The same thing happens when you hand off Zelda to a Russian company to make games on the CDi, or when you allow another company to make "Mario is Missing." It gets ugly. Well that's what happened with Brawl. Sakurai, the lead developer of HAL, left the company to start his own--Sora Ltd, and they made the game. Here are the eleven ways that Sora kind of ruined the experience:
1. Tripping. Sometimes, when you try to do a dash, your character will fall flat on his face. This is--for a lack of better wording--stupid.
2. Stickers in versus mode. Who wants those to appear when you're trying to have an intense battle?
3. Trophies from the Zelda series. Wow...none of them are from the older games, they're all mostly from Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. Melee had trophies from games old and new.
4. Subspace Emissary is extremely boring, and even though I beat it once, I cannot bring myself to ever play it again.
5. Ledge-grabbing. Now, you don't even have to be facing a ledge to grab it, nor do you have to be within 6 feet of it.
6. Clones. Sakurai stated firmly that he wanted no more clones in Brawl because he didn't like them in Melee...well, you got rid of Dr. Mario, but added Wolf, who is a clone of Fox and Falco. You replace Young Link with Toon Link, who both have the exact same movesets. You did de-clone Mario and Luigi, however...you made Luigi fall on his noggin after doing Up-B and you replaced Mario's Tornado with FLUDD, which is a useless move. Uh...good job?
7. Only one file. In Melee, you could have different save files by having another memory card. Brawl doesn't do that--it only allows different subspace emissary files, but nothing more. The SD Card can't even hold another Brawl file. Essentially, you'd need to buy another Wii to have a separate file, and that would be a big waste.
8. Unlocking characters is far too easy in this game. You can just play subspace emissary on easy mode and find them as part of the story. There's no challenge to it whatsoever.
9. Target Test. There are no longer any unique target test courses for each character--they're all the same for everybody.
10. Unlocking stages. Like the characters, this has become far too easy.
11. Physics. All the characters are very "floaty" and they run kind of slow. It's not fast-paced.
So it gets only 3 stars despite having all these shortcomings.

My son loves this game and wants to play it all day. It took a while for him to get the hang of the controller and now he's a pro. He played for a long time on the practice rounds, easy level, in order to get comfortable with the controller. He really loves to be able to choose the different characters and different backgrounds. He also just likes to sit and watch while Daddy plays. It seems like it's rated T because of the complexity of the controller, not because it's violent. I mean, you don't see blood or anything, more like cartoon violence.
Here is the review given word-for-word by my 4 1/2 year old:
"I like it. My favorite part is where you get to play adventure and you break out one of the guys it gives you a little bat or something else. Favorite character is Donkey Kong. Kirby is the best fighter. You get to pick different people. It's really good and it had different challenges. Buy it because it's so fun and stuff."
this game is sooooooo addicting
