this game is great and fun to play with other people. The adventure mode thing (Subspace Emisarry) is way better than the strange adventure mode of melee. Good game....worth the money
If I could have just 1 Game for the Wii, this would be it!

We can play for hours doing different things different ways. My kids are 7,7,8,16,16,20 and we never get bored of playing this game. There are plenty of options for playing teams, opposition, or single player. The configurations and characters are almost endless. The review title says it all. I wish they could just figure out how to make it a motion sensitive game; When you jump it jumps; when you swing, it swings.

Just take 2 minutes and read this. This is very EASY to do! It literally takes 10 minutes to setup. Simply follow the steps below. I promise you, this is 100% real. I wouldn't jeopardize my eBay account status if this was a scam. My feedback is real and I will answer you on any question! Here is what you do. Click on the link below, register, pick an account type (referral is the easiest) and complete just 1 offer (Very important that you complete the 1 offer otherwise your account will sit in limbo until you do). This is not like other sites where you need to complete one offer on 2 or 3 different pages!!! And a lot of these offers are FREE trials with nothing else to buy...No commitments!!!
There are plenty of cool offers to choose from such as Blockbuster online, Stamp.com, Netflix, Gamefly which are services you would regularly sign up for anyways and their all secure networks, why not use them to get a free iPod or cash (I did the Stamps.com for a 4 week free trial and it is free!). Look at the offers and choose the one that works for you. After signing up and completing your one offer, simply refer 5-13 people (depending on the FREE prize you choose) to do the same under your link (just post the same thing as I have on eBay, and you'll get your referrals before the auction even ends.)
Then they will ship your free PS3 or your selected item for free, I chose the PS3. No Joke, 100% REAL!!! The reason these companies make money, is because most people don't bother getting all the referrals. All you have to do is post it on EBAY or any message boards, blogs, face book, my space or any place you hang out at. ! They use us as advertisement by word of mouth which saves them tons of money which goes toward yours and my free gift. These are legit companies such as Blockbuster, Netflix, Gamefly etc... You can copy my listing if you want.
Step 1: Click this link: http://www.YourPS34free.com/index.php?ref=5322947
Step 2: Sign up and chose an account type (Referral is the easiest and best).
Step 3: Complete just 1 offer (like Blockbuster or Stamps.com) and refer up to 13 people to do the same (use eBay! Do what I did, copy my ad).

...and I really liked melee (and I loved the N64 version also lol). Brawl has a few more additional features, but I expected a lot more in game play. Since I don't own the game, I wouldn't really be able to tell too much of a difference between this one and the last.
It's a great game, though, nonetheless, and I'd definitely recommend it. Awesome party game.
Not as good as the first two.

To preface this review: I love the first two smash games. Also, a 2nd party developer known as HAL Laboratory developed them. HAL did not, however, develop Brawl; Sora Ltd did. And I think that's why this game is not as good as the first two.
The same thing happens when you hand off Zelda to a Russian company to make games on the CDi, or when you allow another company to make "Mario is Missing." It gets ugly. Well that's what happened with Brawl. Sakurai, the lead developer of HAL, left the company to start his own--Sora Ltd, and they made the game. Here are the eleven ways that Sora kind of ruined the experience:
1. Tripping. Sometimes, when you try to do a dash, your character will fall flat on his face. This is--for a lack of better wording--stupid.
2. Stickers in versus mode. Who wants those to appear when you're trying to have an intense battle?
3. Trophies from the Zelda series. Wow...none of them are from the older games, they're all mostly from Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. Melee had trophies from games old and new.
4. Subspace Emissary is extremely boring, and even though I beat it once, I cannot bring myself to ever play it again.
5. Ledge-grabbing. Now, you don't even have to be facing a ledge to grab it, nor do you have to be within 6 feet of it.
6. Clones. Sakurai stated firmly that he wanted no more clones in Brawl because he didn't like them in Melee...well, you got rid of Dr. Mario, but added Wolf, who is a clone of Fox and Falco. You replace Young Link with Toon Link, who both have the exact same movesets. You did de-clone Mario and Luigi, however...you made Luigi fall on his noggin after doing Up-B and you replaced Mario's Tornado with FLUDD, which is a useless move. Uh...good job?
7. Only one file. In Melee, you could have different save files by having another memory card. Brawl doesn't do that--it only allows different subspace emissary files, but nothing more. The SD Card can't even hold another Brawl file. Essentially, you'd need to buy another Wii to have a separate file, and that would be a big waste.
8. Unlocking characters is far too easy in this game. You can just play subspace emissary on easy mode and find them as part of the story. There's no challenge to it whatsoever.
9. Target Test. There are no longer any unique target test courses for each character--they're all the same for everybody.
10. Unlocking stages. Like the characters, this has become far too easy.
11. Physics. All the characters are very "floaty" and they run kind of slow. It's not fast-paced.
So it gets only 3 stars despite having all these shortcomings.

My son loves this game and wants to play it all day. It took a while for him to get the hang of the controller and now he's a pro. He played for a long time on the practice rounds, easy level, in order to get comfortable with the controller. He really loves to be able to choose the different characters and different backgrounds. He also just likes to sit and watch while Daddy plays. It seems like it's rated T because of the complexity of the controller, not because it's violent. I mean, you don't see blood or anything, more like cartoon violence.
Here is the review given word-for-word by my 4 1/2 year old:
"I like it. My favorite part is where you get to play adventure and you break out one of the guys it gives you a little bat or something else. Favorite character is Donkey Kong. Kirby is the best fighter. You get to pick different people. It's really good and it had different challenges. Buy it because it's so fun and stuff."
this game is sooooooo addicting

Although I am one of those gamers born and raised in the "Gamer age" of coin operated games, I continue to do so today. I am proud to see y young son get so much into games and characters that I group up with. Sadly some of the games that he plays are a bit too simple for me but this is one game that we the whole family can play. Even my wife who is not good at games tha much loves to play this game. we started by renting the game and then bought it after my wife could not stop playing this for the past five days of the rental. Nintendo has done a great job in mixing the Mario Party game genere in with a sense of level completion play as well. Unlock new characters and levels to play and add to the fun. This game has a high replayability level and it is dynamic play at that. Add to that the fact that all ages can play and the levels/games can be set to levels that everyone can have fun while playing. We have even started an intrahouse competetion and have mixed up the play buy having the various house members change their partners for "Game night." While I don; think anything can take the place of getting out and playing with the family together, I feel that MP8 does a really good job and having a fun game that the whole family can play together and that is priceless/.
Fun Game

Super Smash Bros. Brawl continues on what Nintendo did in Melee. The game is fun and the new modes are great.
Feels a bit like a last F.U. to Sega

Admittedly, Super Smash Brothers Brawl is a lot of fun. The graphics are really improved, there's no slow-downs during play from the processor, and you can have fun weather you're a strategist or just a button masher. I'm not going to debate the merits of the game-play.
Like many who purchased this, I was a Sega loyalist back in the day. As such, one of the primary reasons I got this game is that it finally allows me the chance to bust out Sonic and pound that damned Italian plumber into marinara. I'm sure there were at least one or two others who purchased this game thinking the same thing.
Unfortunately, unless you're very lucky, you're going to have to go through a lot of game-play to unlock Sonic, and more than likely you're going to have to beat the crap out of him with a Nintendo character before you can play as him.
As I said before, it is a fun game, it's just that having Sonic buried like that feels like one last big "F*** YOU!" to the Sega gamers. And it may very well have been completely unintentional, but it still sucks that Mario's right there and ready for you, but you have to play for god knows how long before you can be Sonic.
If you're a fan of the series, pick it up. If you're an old Sega fan, get a DS and buy the Sonic Rush games.
