Alas...sad son

Unfortunately I had to return Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Oh not because it wasn't good we live in Australia and the disk didn't work on our system. It was an Easter present for my son and he waited everyday for the mailman to arrive. The sad look on his face when the Wii console would not accept the game made me feel very guilty. I will have to wait until the end of April to purchase it here. Thanks for your quick service, it arrived at my sister-in-laws house when you said it would. Just wish it would have worked for my son.

Super Smash Bros Melee was alot of fun. Now when Brawl came out , i had high hopes. Mostly for the online. Thats where it fails, in a big way. No stats kept, you cant make friends, no records, no rooms to join or special rules to set. Lag is terrible. You have to know someone else with a nintendo to obtain their code and meet them online. Xbox 360 really does it right for online gaming. Im disappointed with this game and would gladly pay a monthly fee for the services Xbox provides. I also find alot of the new maps to be nothing more than frustrating. New characters are good though, but if your new to this series , id stay away. Tried to tell some others about this game. They bought it anyway and are now trying to sell it. Im selling mine too.Oh well.

I bought this game the day it came out. I heard plenty of buzz, looked at the box and it looked good. I get home and put it in to play. My first reaction was THAT'S IT?? It's a regular fighting game. I thought, oh maybe there are other types of gameplay, the box said there is a story-type mode. NOPE. It's the same except the story mode seems to just connect the fight scene over and over again.
There is nothing special about this game. First of all, it does not use the motion sentative nature of the Wii controllers. Moreover, the controllers are useless. You randomly hit all your buttons and move your fighter in all directions hoping that somehow you win. And unless maybe you're playing against your friends, it is the same thing over and over again.
They had all the hype, a great franchise, a innovative console but delivered a standard (at best) game.

I sold my copy on Amazon the day after I bought it.

Isn't going to win any awards any time soon. this concept of arcade has been done so many times it's gotten very old. It's graphics are poor, it's excitement level last for all of about 30 minutes. save your money. however, mario Galaxy was great get that one instead

I got my son this game for his birthday. What a terrible decision! Parents beware, because in some Wii consoles this game WILL NOT run. ALL the other discs (Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, gamecube games) run with no problem.
According to Nintendo's web page "Super Smash Bros. Brawl utilizes a double-layer disc which has a large memory capacity. A very small percentage of Wii consoles may have trouble consistently reading data off this large capacity disc if there is some contamination on the lens of the disc drive. Nintendo has specialized cleaning equipment that can resolve this problem. (Please do NOT attempt to clean the lens yourself, as you may damage the system.)" What a lame excuse! Why didn't they say that in the first place? You buy a new game, and have to send back your console at no cost? Having myself an autistic child that is NOT an option. I want my money back, an Mario party 8 or something else.

Here the thing when you start playing smash the first time it fun then the second time its ok .Then about the third its like that's it the hype cant help a outdated game here why.The control our horrible their no deep fighting you hit any button to fight then jump back before you falls what a challenge not.And the graphics our ok three years ago on game cube and the flashy background with older games and you can't even fight in the background so its fake.And the story mode seems tack on two players can play at once in story mode just to make it even faster to beat.You wont play it very long wait for mario cart but they probably ruin it to.

I hope Sonic is in it

They better have Sonic in this game because of Solid Snake.They have to add more non-nintendo game charectors like Pac-Man and Spyro the dragon.Smash Bros is a great singeries.I hope there making more in the future.I'm going by a Nintendo Wii someday.

This game is going to be freakin awesome... o and i got a good idea for the DS thingy too... Make it so you can go online and vs. people in different states and even countries!
