Crazy Crazy Crazy

This game puts you as a taxi driver attempting to drive people about the city. It may sound boring buy with all the cool things you can do like Crazy Drift etc and flying through a park and making innocent citizens dive out the way of your oncoming taxi. With 4 different drivers and taxis to choose from (although none are better than another) you just dart about the city trying to gain the most money. It's this simplicity that makes Crazy Taxi so much fun and encouraging you to have another go. However this game doesn't have a long life although it has the original arcade mode, a new original city and some made tasks like knocking over skittles with your car. It's fun and action packed although after you have done stuff once it there isn't much more difference but this doesn't matter as the game is so much fun. Recommended although Crazy Taxi 2 is better due to being able to carry multiple passengers at once. Good fun with some catchy Offspring music to help you drive.

One of the best

If you can't resist fast-paced crazy driving games, then I definitely recommend that you pick up Crazy Taxi (and save some extra cash on the side, too). Great controls, 2 huge San-Francisco type cities with lots of traffic, and some fast-paced taxi-driving action make this a must-have title for Dreamcast.

The main point of the game is to zip around in one of four choosable drivers and his/her own taxi and pick up customers. They'll tell you where they want to go and a handy little arrow will point in the direction. The faster you get there, the more cash you rake in. This really puts an emphasis on mastering moves like the Crazy Dash, a turbo move, and some spin moves that you can learn in the game to improve your times. You can choose arcade mode, where the clock is always ticking but time increases as you get more customers, or play to a certain time limit.

But all this action, believe it or not, can get old in a couple of weeks. If it weren't for the mini-games in the game that are so fun and challenging, it would probably get old in a couple of days unless you have a friend to challenge on who gets more cash. But still, for ten bucks, you can't go wrong with picking this up. Seize the moment and buy it while you still can!

This games graphics are possibly the best I have ever seen. Unfortunately good graphics dont make a good game. This one dimensional game loses interest after ten minutes. There is no real goal except for the mini games. If you like depth in a game, dont get this.

Pick people up and drive them through an impressively rendered city to a limited number of destinations. Along the way you can chase people off the sidewalk, bang into cars, dodge traffic and even drive across the bottom of the ocean, but so what? You can't shift except to put it in forward and reverse. The car acts as though the wheels were under the center. There's no power sliding around corners. People always get out of the way on time. Some of the roll overs look realistic, but there's no real damage. You almost never get up to speed as there are so many obstacles and sharp turns. The cars all handle about the same.

This is the kind of feel good game. It all takes place on a bright summer day. The convertible taxi's go bombing around with their tops down, but I get a little stressed with all the rush rush and the traffic. I just don't feel like this is that much fun. It's stressful and tedious. People say this is a racing game, but it really isn't. It's a driving game, sort of a fake driving game and I think it's best suited for an arcade where the glitzy graphics can pull people in for a couple of rides and then let them get on with their lives. Playing it for more than a few minutes just shows you how little it has to offer. I don't think they even have different views and I'm sick of this town, San Francisco.

If you want a decent racing game, get Need for Speed for PSX or even Ridge Racer. At least RR had powerslides.

Oh yeah. The music sucks and the chatter gets old even faster than the game.

A Must Have for DC Owners

I recently received a Dc and along with it I got Crazy Taxi. I played the game in the arcade and loved it. The graphics are unreal and the people you are driving around make the game alot better. I wish there were more cities and one where u could drive around at night but overall this was a excellent game and I recommend it for all DC owners, just make sure u get another game because you'll get bored pretty quick but you'll always go back to play it when you want a little fun!

This was the second game I bought for Dreamcast, and it was fun for a while. But it got boring. There are three game modes. Arcade, original, and crazy box. Arcade is the level from the arcade, original is one level made just for the Dreamcast, and crazy box is some mini games. When you beat arcade and original nothing happens, it just says game over, and that is basically the end of the game. Once you beat crazy box, there is nothing else to really do after that except keep playing the arcade and original modes again. Which is no different. So this game gets kind of boring, unless you play it with your friends. I'd recomend this game to people who have a lot of parties or a lot of kids over.

Every once in a while one of those games come along that is an instant classic, thers SONIC 2, theres DONKEY KONG COUNTRY, theres NFL BITZ, thers SUPER MARIO BROS. DX, theres DONKEY KONG 64, and theres CRAZY TAXI. CRAZY TAXI is the most fun Ive had since I started gaming in 92. It is also the best game since SONIC 2. If you have a DREAMCAST and do not have CRAZY TAXI I worry about you, GET THIS GAME!!! If you think it is bad then you are stupid.

Okay, the whole story....

alright 1st of all, there are TWO whole cities, not one. if you really paid attention the original city and the arcade city are two different places, the music in theis game is the best, i luv all the offspring songs on it the RULE! the grafics kick, and the control is great, but yet again, it is verrrry repetitve, it could use some more modes, and more secrets, well thats about it, an overall good game
