Boy is this game fun. Incredibly well-designed and fast paced; you've never had this much fun driving people around in your life. The DC-only course suffers from some graphical glitches (lots of pop-up) and the directional arrow will drive you mad, but other than that, this game rocks. Great sound effects. Frankly, I'd rather have a pumping techno soundtrack than the same 2 Offspring songs over and over and over again, but whatever. Definitely a must-have for any self-respecting DC owner.

One of the most well-done games I have seen since at least Zelda 64. Images are silky smooth, soundtrack is awesome, gameplay kicks, etc. Just like the arcade but "tweaked" worth the $50- trust me on this one, a sure-bet!
Crazy Taxi is a must have game for every dreamcast owner!

All i can say is WOW this game is a trip. Let me tell you if you own a sega dreamcast you have to have this game. Why you ask well because its awsom imagine this taking off 160 mph in your own taxi and going through giagantic very very very realistic cities and picking up praticaly anyone who needs a ride and having a short conversation with that person and then they tell you where they want to go whether it be KFC, Pizza Hut, Fila Store, or any building in the city ect. Then you have to get to that building as fast as you posibly can. On the way to there destination jump buildings crash through telephone boths and People. As you fly through the city with your cusomer the people scream and run and it is awsome. This game is as fun as it is the first time you play it as it is the 100th time you play it. If you are like me and you like fast fun and awsome graphic games than crazy TAXI IS A MUST HAVE GAME FOR YOU.

This is hand's down, the most entertaining title for Dreamcast to date. Regardless of the repetetive gameplay, you will find yourself obsessed with getting better fares, times and customers. The mini games are a blast as well, demanding you to polish your driving skills. On the surface there appears to be little skill involved, but just play through all of the mini games and you will see just how deep the gameplay can get. There is a little slow down when you get yourself into a serious wreck and there is slight pop up. You WILL get sick of hearing Offspring and bad Religion!
Highs: Incredible graphics, super fast gameplay, originality, overall design of game.
Lows:
Offspring music. Slight slow down.
In a nutshell:
Buy this game! I never thought driving a cab would be so fun!
Arcade Perfect!

Here is your chance to drive wrecklessly and to cause chaos and mayhem. Great Characters, great music (Offspring & Bad Religion), great gameplay, great graphics! Arcade mode and Original mode are two diffrent maps and they are both very diffrent from each other. Crazy Box mode is bunch of mini-games specially designed to perfect your skills. Getting the #1 ranking in arcade rules is quite a challenge (trust me, it took me alot of Crazy Driving to get there). The Dreamcast is the first true arcade pefect console with arcade pefect games!
The absolute BEST car game for dreamcast

This game blew me away it was very clear and was a better than perfect arcade translation. There are more cities and there is mini-games. I bought this game because of the arcade version and there was a lot more!

Never having the chance to plar Crazy Taxi in arcades, I awaited the home version with baited breath. I'm glad I can report that this game features some of the most addictive, pick up and play gameplay, as well as stunning graphics. The sheer size of the city, coupled with traffic and pedestrians dodging out of your way shown in beautiful high resolution graphics is jaw dropping. This is one of those rare occasions when a home game(of an arcade translation) features that "sheen" of smooth flowing eye candy. I've had this game for one day, and already my room is becoming very popular in my dormitory! Fast, fun, easy to learn(but tough to master) makes Crazy Taxi the most fun I've had with my Dreamcast since... well, ever. Buy this game!
Crazy Taxi actually makes the Offspring tolerable!

BUY THIS GAME. I totally hate the Offspring, which is the music you will hear most often while playing this game. Let me also add that I am not a fan of car/racing games either. However, I took a chance on this game because of the overwhelming praise it has been receiving and MAN AM I GLAD I BOUGHT IT. Last weekend, I practically converted all of friends over to the Dreamcast bandwagon with this game alone (and Soul Calibur). The gameplay is repetitive, but so is being addicted to crack. This game ROCKS! The feeling of actually zipping through the streets of San Francisco at what really feels like well over 75 MPH is a blast. (Ever seen Bullitt?) Or how about dropping off a passenger after performing a sliding 180 and slamming into the front door of a KFC (product placement tastefully done: Pizza Hut, FILA, Levi's, etc.). This game makes perfect use of the Dreamcast's speedy frame rate and graphical capability. One of my friends has already claimed that they are going to buy a Dreamcast just to play Crazy Taxi. And, though I hate the Offspring, their music is perfect (and Bad Religion's) for the fast-paced driving mania that makes this game great. Oh, and have fun trying to run over potential customers before picking them up and listen to them complain: "You almost killed me!" HA! BUY THIS GAME.
Wow! What a Ride

This is simply the most fun I have had playing a video game. I bought the Dreamcast for the sports games. Usually I am bored by the Drive around the track racing games. But Crazy Taxi is a completely free form driving game. You choose the short cuts (wrong way on a one way street, through the park, under water) in the quest of impressing your fares and garnering big tips.
Crazy Taxi has 3 playable games, "Arcade" which is pixel perfect to the arcade version, "Original" which is a less polished version with completely different cityscape, and "Crazy Box" which lets you practice your driving skills and unlocks other games such as "Crazy Bowling" when you complete all nine boxes.
Purchase Crazy Taxi with the MadCatz MC2 Driving Wheel. Its just like being in the arcade without the teenagers.
