Ban This Game!!!!!!!!!

This game looks like it can be fun and it looks like it has good graphics and all, but I will refuse to buy this game or contribute any positve energy towards it. THIS GAME IS SICK!!!!! IT MAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACH THAT PEOPLE WOULD SUBDUE THEMSELVES INTO PLAYING GAMES ABOUT WAR!!!! I mean, I am a huge fan of violent games, but all of them are fictional!!!!

This so called epic game, better known as "Medal of Honor" makes me sick. WWII was real, thousands of people died and suffered, I don't feel it appropriate to make a video game out of that. Somethings should not be made into games!!! Many people died the day of Pearl Harbor, it was an American tragedy, not good basis for a video game in my oppinion. If a game came out about the war in Iraq, I'm sure people would be outraged. These wars are real people!!!!!! They should only make video games where the wars are fictional.

How much longer before the effects of September 11th wear off, and they make a video game about that??? If you feel that will never happen, than your very ignorant, because Pearl Harbor was one of the single-most worst American tragedies before Sep. 11th and they just made a video game about it. So don't buy this game, war is wrong plain and simple. Why encourage a game that is not fictional??? Remember you are not playing a ficitonal scenario in this Medal of Honor game, you are playing the real WWII, which clamied the lives of thousands of Americans.

Rent dont buy

I must first say that the first medal of honor was one of my favorite games of all time so I was highly excited to hear about rising sun.
The opening level is simply amazing which is true of the first medal of honor. The rest of the levels leave a lot to be desired. It is not that they arent good but there isnt much of a change from the first medal of honor except that you are fighting the japanese instead of the germans.
By biggest problem with it is that it doesnt have as many levels as the first game and ends rather abruptly. Your kind of left with a "is that all feeling"
Overall I thought it was a good game, but not worth the money when you can just rent it for 5 bucks for a week and that is all the time you will need.

Don't believe all the naysayers!!

I bought this game based on the absolutely enjoyable experience of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and Medal of Honor: Frontline and I for one, really enjoyed this one as well! For the grumpy people who are slammin' it, don't believe them. They probably have friends and relatives who worked on Call of Duty. Maybe it wasn't up to the %100 standard that the two previously mentioned games are, but for my $50, it was money well spent. Finished the game in a few days and wanted MORE, MORE, MORE!!!!! If you love the idea behind Medal of Honor, you will enjoy this game just as much as I did!

I THOUGHT THIS WAS A GREAT GAME. IM A MOH FAN. IT WAS FUN WHILE IT LASTED. IT WAS HALF AS LONG AS FRONTLINE. IT ONLY TOOK MY 3 DAYS TO FINISH AND I DIDN'T PLAY MUCH. I DO LIKE HOWEVER THE MULTIPLAYER MODE AND ONLINE MODE.

Don't Buy it!

I'm at a loss for words. It sucks so bad. the only good part is the first level at Pearl Harbor, but only when you are playing co-op. I'm trading this one in and getting my Frontline back.

Worst Game in Years

EA did a horrible job on this game. I cannot believe a respectable company such as EA Games, released such a disappointing product. Not only did they fail to scratch the surface of history regarding the pacific battle front, the parts they did attempt were vague. Absolute Worst Game I have ever played.
The only thing they did correctly was allow players to save during a level.
As for EA games, stick to SPORTS. It is appearently all you are good at.

ouch, what a waste of money

This game is part of a long line games in the Medal of Honor Series. They have made several prestigous games, but this one is certainly laking. The game play is fun, but it is far to easy for the average FPS gamer. You would be much better off renting this game at blockbuster because it can be beaten in under three days by someone playing for two hours a day. When comparing this game with Call of Duty for PC there is no competition. Rising Sun is deficient in all catagories compared with Call of Duty. So save your money and by Call of Duty, because you will enjoy it more than Rising Sun. Overall this is a flashy game with good graphics and guns, but it lacks in every other catagory.

WTH is this

The Medal of Honor series is famous for releasing great historic war games. With the instant success of MoH: Frontline, it left people wanting more, and EA wanting more money. MoH: Rising Sun is about as unfinished of a game as you can get. The sad part is the graphics in MoH: Frontline look better than MoH: Rising Sun, and Rising Sun was released a year or so after Frontline. Not only that, but Rising Sun is extremely short and you should be able to complete the game in 6 hours tops. One thing I did like about this game is that it at least has multiplayer offline and online, but even those features can't save the game. The computer generated cut-scenes in the game that set up the next level you will play are horrendous. I've seen better on PS1. The games AI switches from being terrible to being downright dumb. You will be in situations where your standing right in front of the enemy and they won't even shoot you. You will be in situations where the enemy will fire the opposite direction of where you are. There are some minor technical glitches such as bodies floating in the air and some collision issues. Some areas of the game you could be hiding behind a wall or rock and the enemy can shoot right through what your hiding behind. Another collision issue is that you are able to walk through certain things you shouldn't be able through. Some examples being benches, chairs, some areas of the ships. This game also has a hefty framerate problem. The first mission and last mission have terrible framerate. The rest of the game stays at a decent pace for the most part, but chugs and chugs here and there.

I appreciate how they have all the different videos that you can watch after you beat the game. I think that's important on a game like this. It shows movies of veterans speaking about their effort in the war and other historic videos.

All in all even WW2 and MoH fans will have a hard time liking this game. I'm a fan of historic war games and I can admit this game was simply rushed. I recommend getting Call of Duty: Finest Hour.
