This is a very good game, but it is a little to easy(seems I say that a lot). The dungeons are quite challenging and the side quests are fun( with the exception of one). Anyone who liked OoT will love this game, and it's just as short too. The masks are very cool and the notebook you get is a nice addition. No N64 gamer should not miss out on this one. Short version: Graphics: 4.5 Sound: 4.4 Control: 4.7 Fun Factor: 4.8 Total: 4.6

First, I really like the idea of the time thing. It's a clever concept and it works. The fact that at the end of three days you have to go back and start again is pretty cool. Talking to people at different times in different masks is certainly innovative -- especially for those of us who started with Telstar.
That said this game became very monotonous. I used a guide help me complete the game (if you don't have one get one) pretty much the same way I did with the Ocarnia of Time. The difference is while using a guide with the Ocarina only took you to the task and gave you hints on how you could win it frequently took some time to beat a boss. This time there was no real challenge, besides the required patience. And while it took me an entire weekend to beat the final boss in the Ocarnia of Time, I finished this is about a half hour.
Visually this is a beautiful and clever game, but if it weren't for those qualities I wouldn't have even given this three stars.

Zelda: Majora's Mask is a promising game, with a lot of great features, but as a long time fan of the Zelda games, I felt it didn't meet up to its predessor and was lacking certain elements from its gameplay. The moon is falling and you have to save the land before the three days is done. This means you can transport through time, slow time, compress time, or even go back and start at the first game. Does that sound cool? Well its not really. You go back in time and you save, but you lose all of your inventory and rupies (which you can save in a "bank") so when you play again you start with squat! It can be rather annoying. There are a lot of mini games and side plots you need to do in this game, but they aren't fun at all. For the most part they take up time or annoy you because you have to complete it at a certain time in the day and if you miss it, well you have to save and start at the first day again. Basically this is all you do. The dungeons get better as the game goes, but there are only 4 dungeons, only 4! A Zelda game should have way more. But no this game has you do too many things before you can even go to the dungeon. So really its a boring game in a way, and its way too hard with the '3 day system' .... Less mini games and sub plots, more dungeons, no time travel back to the first day (no ...3 day or the moon will fall on you) and this would have been a 5 star game.

I thought this game was very good but not as good as Zelda:Ocarina of Time. The graphics were much better and it had much more subquests than the original but it didn't have as good of a plot and wasn't challenging enough. For example, in Ocarina of Time, it had 10 levels, three spiritual stones and 7 medallions, 12 songs, and tons of items. Majora's Mask only had 4 levels, 4 remains of the bosses of those levels, 10 songs, and a less amount of items. The good thing about Majora's Mask though is the grpahics, the ability to change to a human, a Deku scrub, a Goron, or a Zora and there were cool new options like the Bomber's Notebook and how there is only three days to beat the game but it is annoying that you have to keep going back in time to save. I would totally recommend this game though because it is still good but it is more for beginners and is more kiddy. If you want a more mature challenging game though, I'd recommend you buying Ocarina of Time.

Being a person that has played almost every Zelda game in existance, I had a lot of expectations of Majora's Mask. It is a great game, but there is one thing that did nothing but irritate me - traveling in time. This too, wouldn't be so bad, if quests that you have already completed would have stayed completed. When you go back in time, everything resets, including all of the temples and their bosses. Since defeating the temples opens up certain side quests, you could have to go back and defeat the boss of the temple again. And since it normally takes you 2 1/2 days (on the game) to get through the temple, you don't have much time left to do the new side quests. It can get really old. Also, you can only save if you go back in time (or hit an "owl" statue). The game itself isn't as difficult as "Ocarina of time" either. I didn't have much trouble with it. The temples are very challenging though. I was also able to defeat the game in one attempt without having all of the masks or bottles. In general, the game can be fun if you are not having to redo stuff. Personally, if I would've had the chance to play the game before buying it, I wouldn't have bought it.
Ahhhhhhhh!! The moon is falling!

Hey, this is a great game, but four temples just wasn't enough. The three days were to much, too. I think that Link did better in Ocarina of Time. They didn't even have any Koriki Kids! Ocarina was one of a kind.

....Zelda MM is horrible! Unlike Ocarina, it has a time limit. I have had it for one year and I am still on the third temple. I have nothing but thumbs down for this Zelda! The time limit will get very frustrating after one hour. You only see Zelda once in the whole game, and you can't even get Epona until you beat the second temple. If you want to get a zelda game go for Ocarina of Time.
Horrible! Hardly worth playing...

I simply did not enjoy this game at all! As Ocarina of Time was a great game :), this game was not a great sequel at all like everybody says it is :(. I first played this game on Zelda: Collector's Edition after playing Ocarina and I was immediately disappointed for several reasons:
1. The style of gameplay is different.
2. It's WAY too challenging, even though I like a challenge!
3. Figuring out what you do first takes ages and ages.
4. Dungeons are nearly impossible to beat, even with strategy.
5. Not many places to save(without going back in time).
6. Figuring out, even getting to the next dungeon is a pain in the neck!
7. MAIN POINT: Only having three days to complete each dungeon is freaken annoying!
Overall, this game sucks! Don't waste money on this game, regardless. Stick with Ocarina of Time or Wind Waker. ALL ZELDA FANS, PLEASE HEAD THIS WARNING!
it sucks its a waist of money

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is an exercise in frustration. It's a seriously disappointing game, lacking nearly everything that the Ocarina of Time delivered two years ago, even the gameplay. Sure, it's got imagination and some really fun minigames to keep you busy, but these distractions are honestly more entertaining than the main quest. The game is fairly interesting until you pick up the Zora Mask, which is where the game completely falls apart.
Leaping around like a dolphin while whereing the Zora mask may seem like a lot of fun, but the concept is terribly executed here. For some reason, you can't always surface to jump out of the surf and you will hit several BILLION "invisible" walls in the ocean and in temples. Your Zora himself/herself will even frequently glitch and jitter, sticking to a wall for about 30 seconds.
The story is bearly passable, too. A huge moon? C'mon. The first half of the game is fairly enjoyable, but then the constant glitches and aweful camera angles become annoying. Zelda devotees might enjoy this weak game, but I suggest that you save your cash for Mario Tennis, Perfect Dark, or Banjo Tooie.
