Okay, all I have to say is that this game is way different from any other game. (Or from all the games I played.) I may not be done with the game, but it keeps you on the edge of going further and further. Sure it may be frustrating at times, but when you get the problem solved evrything is cake. It kind of keeps you inn suspense with only three days. Okay, I'm getting ahead of myself... I would highly reccommend this to anyone who just loves to play games. Great Game, great characters, and crazy puzzles!

Remarkable game...

This is one of the three best Zelda games ever. The graphics, even for the N64 are incredible and the story, like almost every Zelda game, is amazing. It takes place a little while after the excellent "Ocarina of Time" and Link has set out to find himself. Suddenly, the moon starts to hurtle itself toward the Earth and it's up to Link to stop a runaway with a demon mask from bringing the moon crashing down. The story is amazing as are the gameplay and graphics. It's one of the best games for the N64 and possibly one of the best ever.

too much effort

i loved zelda:ocarina of time so i was ecstatic when this came out. the problem for me is i found this game to be more effort than fun. you battle time on top of the many tasks that lay before you. the game was ok at first but eventually i got frustrated because there was simply too much going on and it was too much effort and really not much fun. being a deku was cool and all but the novelty wore off and i eventually sold this game without completion. i never left deku stage. too much effort and no fun at all.

A very interesting sequel to Ocarina of Time.

Although Majora's Mask may only relate to Ocarina of Time a few times, I was completely astonished at the gameplay. I originally thought that this would be not as difficult than Ocarina of Time, and I was soon proven wrong with the exact opposite. The game is much more difficult than Ocarina of Time, with very interesting boss battles and very difficult temples. I don't really mind the higher difficulty level.

A completely new storyline, where Link is transported to a new world where a moon will strike in 72 hours and Link has to stop his nemesis, Skull Kid, and find his way back to Hyrule. And in this game, a timer is at the bottom of your screen, counting down every second until the moon crashes.

With a very wide selection of 24 different masks to choose from, three of them allow you to transform into a Deku Scrub, a Goron, and a Zora. Link can now use the bow, hookshot, and can also ride Epona as a child, which you couldn't do in Ocarina of Time. You'll find a lot of the items from Ocarina of Time in Majora's Mask, including the Fire, Ice, Light Arrows. And although Majora's Mask may not include any part of Ganondorf or Ganon, Skull Kid already causes enough trouble to be a serious problem, always wreaking havoc at every open moment.

The graphics and gameplay, with the Expansion Pack required, are exceptional. Enemies attack from multiple angles, and the graphics have improved from Ocarina of Time. The boss battles are one of the parts that have improved. They now are a little bit more exciting and the graphics make all the difference.

Overall, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is an amazing and astonishing RPG. It may not have any relation to the legend, but even without any relation, it's still just as good. Definitely worth buying and would make a great gift for any Zelda fan!

Domo origato, Mr. Miyamoto, for the exceptional game!

Slow start, but worth the aggravation

I had to set this down for a while after starting it, because I got frustrated...now, after coming back, re-starting, and playing the thing through to the bitter end, I have to say that this can stand next to Ocarina of Time proudly. The controls are the same, and the addition of transformation masks means learning new skills, so the challenge aspect of that is still there. Interacting with all the people in Clock Town, as well as the other places, is a hoot (I loved the mailman running everywhere), and the story is pretty intriguing if you play long enough to figure out what is going on. However, having to redo events after you reset time is kind of a drag, as is losing all the bombs/arrows/etc. I also HIGHLY recommend a strategy guide.

This was a very confusing game until I got the walk through and then it kicked butt! It takes a long time but there is a lot to do and all kinds of action and puzzles to figure out. Even with the walk through I still has some trouble but it's well worth the money and after awhile you get the hang of it. I liked playing it the second time better because then I had it down. Definately a worthy game - make sure you have a walk through by your side for guidance though.

On a scale of 1-10............ its an 11!!

This game is awsome!! one of nintendo's best games yet. Although it may be a little confusing(for those who are new to Zelda Games), you can catch on quickly and will find it incredibly fun. This game is awesome whether you're 6 or 16. The transformation masks such as the zora mask are a great new addition to this game. For those of you who do not have the game, when you put on the Zora Mask, you transform into a Zora. As a Zora, you can throw double boomerangs, punch and kick, swin fast, walk underwater, and play the aquatic guitar (instead of the traditional ocarina). You can also transform into a Goron, and a Deku Scrub. Also the way you are able to have a bow and arrow, ride Epona, and have a hookshot as a child. This game is all about time though. So if you cant wok good under pressure.......... still get the game! there are songs you can play in this game that manipulate time. You can make time go slower or faster, or go back in time. So....... if you dont have this game yet, GET IT!

Above and Beyond Ocarina of Time

Majora's Mask is either the first or second best game for N64. Consequently I also believe it is the first or second best game ever made, the other being Ocarina of Time. Whether or not this one is better is a matter of taste as the two games really are not all that alike. Aside from the game engine and the "feel" of the environment, the two games aren't similar at all. I found the 72-hour gametime window very welcome. I can only play games every several days and this feature allowed me to start fresh each time with a clear goal of what I wanted to do. There is little else I can say about this game that hasn't already been said. It is clearly a work of genius and if you own a Nintendo 64 you should have this game.

A new normal, fun game than Banjo- Tooie!!!!!

If you have the first nintendo and have one of the first zelda games, believe me, you're going to looooooove this one.If anyone gives this game one star, don't listen to them. They don't know what they're missing! Challenging levels, great graphics, real music, and really cool characters like the Indigo-gos! The game may be fustrating because you have to play the Song of Time to reset the 3 days and the 72 hours to solve puzzles again, but that's the whole thing of the game!Link was so neat! It was exciting when you turned into a Deku Shrub,Goron and Zora. He was so good at the part! I never get tired of this game. Some people I know absoulutly love it. I think this is the best game in history and I've ever beaten! I got it for Christmas and I was so thrilled, that I rushed downstairs and tried it! Can you believe I was that excided? I also got Banjo- Tooie and I tried it after. I think Zelda copied noone, I think B-T copied DK64. I mean, the music, the mini-games and the theatre and even the multiplayer! I think this is one of the games you would want to beat over and over again. So all you Zelda lovers, this is the game for you. ....So! What are you waiting for? Go to your nearest video store and rent it or buy it.( I think you should buy it.)Hurry you have 3 days and 72 hours. AND DON'T SELL THIS GAME!!!!!!!!
