Ok, it's not as good as Ocarina of Time, but this is still an amazing game. Remember the masks from Ocarina of Time, well now they allow you to transform into a Deku Scrub, a Goron, a Zora, or if you're good enough, a Demigod! Also, instead of one main story, this one has around 20 small stories that feed into the main one. Along with adventuring, you must become a detective to piece the other stories together! Now, the drawback is that you must be very smart, or you could get lost. Anyway, a few months after Ocarina of Time, you're riding in some woods looking for a friend from the previous adventure when your horse is stolen! You follow the culprit into Termina, a world parallel to Hyrule. There you learn that the masked imp who stole your horse is causing the moon to collapse in three days. He has also stirred up trouble with many citizens, and you must right these wrongs within three days. But don't worry, on the third midnight, you can go back to day one by playing a song, kind of like Groundhog's Day. Your major progress will still work, but everyone you helped will revert to troubled, but that's ok because as long as you received their reward, it will stay with you. While Ocarina of Time is better in the story department, this game's side quests have been improved, and I like the mask element. Play this game if you liked Ocarina of Time. You'll have a blast.

That's how much one gets into this game (The Ocarina of Time). Everything is so perfect other than Navi's annoyances. She pops in unexpectedly, scaring the crap out of the player if the volume happens to be too loud. Anyway, she's not the game... This is by far the best game ever, and it is one I recommend to anyone that begs to do more in a game. Without cheats and walkthroughs, this game will keep you entertained for at least a month or two. I've also played Majora's Mask, but the fact that it is time-based and one loses a majority of all the things you've accomplished... is just discouraging and stressful. Very impressive at first though... My jaw was dropped the entire time, especially the first time the moon came down. But a game like that is not one I can play over and over again without feeling the agony of having to forfeit everything I've accomplished (which is something you have to do in Majora's Mask).
In a nutshell:
Buy Ocarina of Time.
Majora's Mask is only for die-hard fans.
So, you beat the others. Well...

Nintendo, in the grand tradition that is their style, has out done itself with Majora's Mask for the 64. Insanely awesome graphics, mind-twisting puzzles, and the best story line yet all come together to make this quite possibly the best game that the company has ever put out.
Fans of the other Zelda titles, all the way back to the regular old Nintendo version, will be zombified in front of their TVs for weeks on this one as it has the most challenging quest to date. And even if you are new to the Zelda line then you are in for some treat! This game offers something for everyone, even a little crude humor this time around.
And as far as the whole "what's up with the three day time limit" don't fear! It is the games best attribute and compels the player to even greater heights of insomniac achievments. In the first 64 Zelda title there was no "time limit" and it loses the touch of realism that Majora's Mask brings to the genre--finally!

I am a huge Zelda fan an I really did like every Zelda game that has been released and I even loved the wind waker despite the fact that everyone shunned it into darkness I loved it. Majoras Mask is one of the greatest games ever made, let alone the fact that it is also one of the best Zelda games. Anyone who loves the Zelda franchise will love majoras mask. Just remember that it has an extremely high amount of difficulty. And it's more of a side story to the Zelda games. But it's a game that you'll remember forever its truly that great. Trust me play it you'll love it.

Following on from where Ocarina of Time left of, Majora's Mask is even better! (Those who say it isn't are only saying that because it's harder!) It may be hrder-but you can still enjoy it!
Riding through the woods on Epona, Link is attacked by two fairies. falling off and losing conciosness, Link is unaware of a new foe. The Skull Kid and the Mask of Majora. After stealing Epona and the Ocarina of Time, Skull Kid leads Link into the strange world of Termina.
Collect Masks and other items in Termina, all in three days to prevent the falling of the Moon. With the Ocarina, Link can alter time and travel back in time. With a new fairy Tatl by his side, Link can posses three masks, turning him into a mighty Goron warrior, a well-known Zora musician or a hapless little Deku child (it's so cute!)
The only bad thing about this game is that you need an Expansion Pack. Try to find it everywhere-it's worth it!

Ive been hearing a lot of people bad mouth this game because it's the same as Ocarina of Time. Yeah, it's a lot alike Ocarina of time, but that doesnt mean its a bad thing. The graphics are better because of the expansion pak. More people can be on the screen at one time. The biggest problem I saw with it was that the frame rate drops really low a few times. I love this game and recommend it to anyone.
Not as great as Ocarania of Time, but still great!

If you liked Ocaraina, then you'll like this game. The graphics are better, and it has a cool storyline. I like how you can change into different characters with the different masks. This game is also VERY hard. Twice as hard as Ocaraina. I havn't beat the game yet, but so far its awesome.

Most people imagined that after Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask would be all that and a bag of chips. Or a bag of bombs, take your pick. It's nowhere near the level of Ocarina of Time and was much shorter. Ocarina of Time had 11 dungeaons-that's right, if you count the Bottom of the Well, Ice Cavern, and Ganon's Castle it's 11- compared to Majora's Mask's 4 dungeons. I'll say 5 since all the other sub-dungeons could combine as one. The only reason I didn't give this game 1 star was because it had great graphics. Absolutely spectacular images. If only the pudding thick storyline were as good as the graphics. I beat this game in under 14 hours of gameplay. Definitely not worth 60 bucks. Then there are the "sidequests" that try to give you something to do when your stuck and wanna let off some steam. Similar to the gold Skulltullas in Ocarina, you must collect all 24 masks to see the "perfect ending" and get the secret ultra mighty mega supernova Fierce Diety's Mask- which can only be used against bosses... joy. The new feel wears out fast since it feels like play a watered down version of Ocarina of Time. Save your money and get a Gamecube or feel depressed with a hole in your heart and a hole in your wallet.
