I bought this game origianally (<-- spelling?) when it first came out, and me and my freind played for HOURS and HOURS on the multiplayer, making up stupid names for the guys (ex: booger ball, ice cube thingy), and we finally beat it, right when I ran outts money, so I sold it to buy another game, (NFS2:HP) but his freind gave him another copy last month, and let me tell you, it is still just as fun as it was at first! we are about halfway through now, and he left for Portugal for 6 weeks, so buy this game if you have a freind who can spend hours on end at your house, or at his house, and since I havent tried single player, I can only assume it is very difficult, because the two-plyer is very hard, even on medium difficulty... and if you do get this, when you beat it, save it, and play it again in a couple months!
It Might Be Short But Its Still Fun And Is Addictive

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is such a great game! The graphics are superb, gameplay is short but that doesn't matter much, and the storyline is wonderful! This game is very addictive to play because of all the action it has to offer. It surprizes me that Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is an RPG game title because it seems more like an action/adventure title with a lot of hack-and-slash action in it. A lot of action does equal fun in a game which is very good! Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is one of the best games ever made for the PlayStation2.

I am not a huge RPG gaming fan. It is in my opinion that RPGs are boring. Its hard to believe that Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is an RPG game. It is very fun to play because of all the enemies there are to fight and it is very addictive. Even though this game is a bit short it is still a wonderful game for the PS2. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is the best RPG game ever!

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is easily one of the best games for the PS2. The action is very intense, the graphics are great, and the storyline is brilliant! This is a game that I highly recommend.
One of the best to ever come out for PS2...

One of the best to ever come out for PS2 or any system for that matter. The gameplay and graphics are above most games coming out now for the PS2. If your into action RPG's like myself, this is the grand-daddy of them all for a console. What would have made "BG:DA" perfect would have been the ability to custom make a character, and making the game longer would have helped as well. The game is a perfect balance being not too complex nor being too simplistic. BG:DA 2 and Champions of Norrath 1&2 doesn't come close to being as good as this game. I'm still hoping one day someone will make another game like this one with more areas, longer game play, and custom characters. Until then, I'll just go back and play Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, from time to time like I still do to this very day. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is in my top 3 favorite games of all time.
Don't believe the nay sayers, it's great!

This may be mindless game play to some, but it's mindless game play at it's best! I didn't see the point in writing a review, but after reading some of the gripes, I had to chime in.
1. The game isn't much of an RPG- who cares... you get to run around and kill people. The action cuts right to the chase, and there are always enemies coming at you. I don't see how that can get boring.
2. The game is repetetive, hack and slash... Not entirely true. The enemies change, and battles get harder or more intense. And the enemies come at you differently, with several traps waiting around the corner. I don't see how that's repetetive.
3. No time to build your character... this is true to a certain extent. However, if you play the game again, you get to keep your character and build onto experience points they already have. And trust me... those spells and powers look mighty grand at level 70. Some of those enemies won't have time to chase you around anymore. That's something to look forward to. Besides, why buy a game if you can't play it several times? Personally, I think it's great to have a game that you can sit down for an hour, and actually feel like you've played, rather than walked around and talked to people and bought supplies.
Fun Co-op, but buggy gameplay.

Great fun with a friend, but we experienced some fatal programming errors (resulting in the need for restart of the entire game).
very pleasing

from the start you get in a mission to warm you up for whats to come. I like this game for the fact its a co-op rpg game. You never really know whats around the corner so you're always on your toes.
