this game was really fun and enjoyable but it kind of enoyed me that i beat the game in only 8 hours

I must say, this game holds incredible graphics, good gameplay, and a decent story. But I was so dissapointed. First of all, it's only 6 hours long! This is not nearly enough play for a hardcore gamer or DND fan. Second, This story is decent, but not nearly deep enough for DND. And finally, you can only be three classes! If you are a hardcore DND fan, which you have to be, you might...might enjoy this game. Otherwise, get a computer and buy the real thing. Black Isle really messed up with this one....

I played Baldur's gate three times. Once is usually enough for me. The option to choose among three characters with different abilities and weapons adds variety. Automatic healthmeter refills with the push of a button and choice between weapons or spells, once set, were a big speed advantage.
There are a few things that would improve this game, however. I was uncomfortable with the birdseye view. Looking down on the hero's location seemed unatural. I wished the upgrade meter would fill up faster so I could take advantage of all the neat spells I didn't have the opportunity to explore and the game should be twice as long.

I have played different Baldur's Gate games for the PC, and I was not impressed. But since there seems to be a lack of good RPG's for console games I decided to give Dark Alliance a try. I have to say, I am really impressed with this game.

The storyline kicks off immediately as you are thrust into a vividly realized world of magic, giant rats, exploding spores and such. But the makers of the game are smart enough to start things off at an easy pace so you can build your experience with the character. I have actually had a great time watching my character develop into one incredible fighter.

I haven't examined every aspect of the game, but what I have seen so far is a heck of a lot of fun. I would recommend it to just about anyone.

Gorgeus game

Here is another gorgeus game with very impressive graphics. It has a nice linear plot, with lots of hack and slash. You get to choose from being an archer, fighter or sorceress. I finished the game 3 times. I first chose the fighter, then the archer and lastly the sorceress. The voice acting of this game is top notch, I really enjoy a game with high quality voice work from well known hollywood people. Although there is still the usual text reading in the game. You can customize you characters with many weapons and armor you find during your adventures. The equipment changes are reflected on the gamescreen so it gives you a feeling of reality. This game is somewhat long but really worth it. I recommend it to anyone 17 or older since it has a mature rating for blood and gore.

I bought this game expecting it to be like the other Baulder's gate, and when it wasn't I must say I was a little disappointed at first, but this game really grew on me and I like how during the story plots the maker Black Isle reached back to their game Warcraft and used it as a reference. All I can really say is that the play is good, the story line even better (if youlike medevil lore) and I can't wait for the next one to come out for the PS2

I thought this game was a lot of fun. I see a lot of graphics improvement over the earlier PC versions as well as the Diablo series. I haven't had a chance to play it as a two player game yet, but I am looking forward to that.

Some of the limitations of the game that I have run into are bad, but not so much that it's unusable. One thing is that there is a level with jumping puzzles. Baldur's Gate is not a platform game, so it shouldn't have a Super Mario Brothers type thing where you jump on a block and it falls down underneath you to lava. Another thing is the uselessness of gems. I'm used to other games such as Diablo 2 that allow me to use gems for enhancing weapons. It confused me to discover that there is no way to do that. Also, I may be spoiled from games like Chrono Cross, but I want to be able to run away from bosses. I'm on Act III in the game, but so far I've really needed to go pawn off some of the extra armor and weapons that I picked up after unknowingly walking into a boss. You can't use the recall potions or anything there, which is stupid.

All in all, it's a fun game. I'm sure many people who play the PC versions of Baldur's Gate scoff at the PS2 version because there's no network play. However, if you can live without that, this version of Baldur's Gate is great fun.
