Well, I was hoping to get an old-fashioned RPG game in my console. Instead , I get Diablo-like gameplay. Read my review on Diablo if you want, that's why I gave it 3 stars. Thee is a good story in this game, but in the first town, you only get to go in one place! That's it! Don't you remember the huge sidequests you can get in Baldur's Gate? This game is just follow the story and make it quick. However, the grpahics and gameplay are great. The monsters were impossibly difficult, but on multiplayer, they sure drop like flies. Enjoy.
Baldur's Gate as close as you can get.

This game has it all, graphics, action and just plain fun. once you started playing it was hard to stop. You always wanted to see what was around the next turn. The challenges were always coming at you and got progessively harder.keeping on track and haveing the right wepons at the right time kept you on your best game. The only disapointment was that after the tower and Eldrith were defeated there wasn't MORE! Please give me MORE?

This is a great game.
The rotating camera position, and various difficulty levels are helpful. There is enough plot to create a mood, but not too much (like Final fantasy X) to get in the way of good, challenging action. Good use of magic and thinking required to defeat a number of the tougher enemies. All around, the most enjoyable game since Final fantasy 9 on PS1.

Best game i've ever played but there are 2 things you need unless you are really good at games, #1 is a memory card and #2 is a partner. In this game you get to kill beasts, evil people, and the undead. When you kill these things you will find new weapons , potions, jewelery, and armor, which you can use or you can sell. You also find gold which you can save up to buy weapons, armor, etc. This game is worth buying because its really fun, and it is long, me and my cousin loved this game! we stayed up all night and day for about a week to beat it. I bet you will not beat it on your first try, but after a few more times you'll get the hang of it.

I honestly thought this game was not going to be that good. I myself am i die hard BG fan. I thought a hack and slash BG would lose the in depth story and all that that makes BG. However upon playing this game i found that it still had a great story but now you got the enjoyment of hacking things to pieces like diablo and the graphics of PS2. There are some downsides like 0 customablity and not as many spells or classes :p but it was still incredibly fun despite that. Definatley worth buying.

Well I purchased this game so that my wife and I would be able to have a good two player game. There just aren't many adult two players out there. Turns out we were searching for three hours in the beginning for a darn rat that was a glitch in the system. My wife went back to the states fora bit and took the ps2 with her and she says it is great now that we aren't looking for something that isn't there. For the brief time I played it, it was a pretty good two person game as long as you are playing it with someone who is not a control freak and wants to go one direction while you want to go the other. Also ya gotta play it with someone who doesn't want to hog all the good stuff and give you [junk]. My recommendation is to play this game with your wife if you are willing to give up the good stuff otherwise you will sleep on the couch. And seeing as I got stuck in the beginning I had nothing to do while I was. If you are walking around aimlessly and have killed everything known to man and found every little secret make sure ya just restart the game.

this is my first review of any kind. the game rocks. i have played it for about 3 hours and i am amazed at the detail. if you like diablo get this. i was wondering when xbox would get a game like this and at last my wait was answered with this! the instructions on the screen and in the book are all you need to get you going. i hope there is an ability in the future to play on xbox live!

I'm not into the D&D stuff much, but I found this game to be a lot of fun. It is the best two-player game I've found, because it's a true co-op mode, and it doesn't split the screen.
Another great feature is the ability to import a saved character. This can make for some fun, going back to the early levels and tearing the place apart. And, I'm hoping it will come in handy when the next game comes out.
Only drawback is the length -- finished it over a weekend. But it has some fun replay value.

i was really excited to start playing this as i'm a d&d holdout and the fact that it received great customer reviews but over all found the game lacking. on the first hand you can't even make a custom character (the cornerstone of d&d), and on the second hand the game is really, really basic. i'm not saying that i didn't have fun but i did find it very anticlimactic overall. there's some good d&d touchs added but i was hoping for more from an officially licensed game.

My boyfriend rented this game a week ago and I haven't seen him since. Actually, that's not entirely true, but he has spent just about every spare minute playing. The game is very entralling and has seemingly endless levels of increasing difficulty. After watching him play for hours on end, I managed to pry the controller out of his hands just long enough to play it myself. It's sufficiently simple for a relatively novice gamer like me without losing the interest of a more experienced gamer like him. He doesn't know this yet, but I just bought him his own copy.
My only complaint-besides having to compete for attention-is that some of the creatures are a bit weird, like the jello-like blobs. I'm not quite sure what they're supposed to be. Even still the game is very cool.
