Oh man, I love this game. I saw it at a game store about a year ago and decided to get it. I have beaten it 2 times already!

Graphics:11/10: Beautiful and creative! The characters are flat and cartoonish, while the objects and backgrounds are beautiful 3D. Eye candy at best!

Sound/music: 10/10: Sound effects are pretty good, and the music is very catchy.

Gameplay:10/10: It's an RPG. The battle system is unique, using little HP. Mario has a huge arsenel of moves! You can collect Badges and make Mario stronger and aqurie more moves. There are also characters who help you in battle. There are a lot of sidequests and a lot of things to discover!

Challange: 5/10: If you're looking for a challange, look elsewere. I mean, this game is extremely fun, but easy! If you want a hard game, try beating this without Badges! THAT'S hard!

A great, underrated game. I can't wait to get Paper Mario: The Thousand Year door for GameCube!

I think this is one of the best rpgs ever. The story and the characters are more for younger gamers, but other than that, it's very good. The battles are pretty fun, although turn-based. You get special attacks and star power to do extra damage, and the items are varied and interesting. You can cook the items (which are mostly food) and make them into better items, or combine them to make more room and to make them better. The worlds are pleasant and there is a good variety, like some dark, creepy woods and a world of snow and ice. The music is good, although nothing I'd buy the soundtrack for. At least it's not annoying. The game is not too easy, but not too hard. You may get a few gameovers but it's not really frustrating. I was entertained through the whole game. I actually played through once or twice more. This is definitely a game for any rpg or Mario lover, and others should try it, too. There aren't any extras for a second time, unless you missed a few items, so not much replay value other than that it's a good game.

Best Game Ever!

This is the best Mario game ever!!!! If you've trained the right way, the bosses really aren't that hard. The different levels are challenging enough to keep your interest but not so hard to make you stop trying. Each level is a chapter, and new partners join. They help you in the different battles and scenarios. Some situations, you have to have them or you get stuck. There's a guy in the "home base" that will (sort of vaguely) tell you what to do when you're in a tight spot -- for a small fee. This game is the perfect combination of graphics, challenges, characters and fun. If you're a Mario fan, this is definitely a good buy!!!!:)

Hours of Video Game Enjoyment

Video games are expensive. I've purchased numerous games for my kids (or for my nieces or nephews) which they completed -- or grew tired of -- in just a few weeks (if not days). (Some games -- like Mario 64, Pokemon Stadium, Mario Party 1 & 2, and Crash Bandicoot 1 -- they still enjoy playing months and years after receiving it.)

That's why I require my kids -- before I'll buy them a game -- to rent it from Blockbuster first.

Paper Mario passed this "rent me first" test. My son likes it because, as he describes it, "It has an adventure like Mario 64 and battling like Pokemon Stadium 2."

Weeks after receiving the game for his birthday, my son and his video game are still going strong. (I guess that's good and bad since I wouldn't mind if he practiced his piano more. But he's a good kid, and he deserves it.)

If you buy only one video game for the son/daughter, niece/nephew or grandchild in your life, you can't go wrong with Paper Mario.

Nintendo Game Of The Year

Whoever said this game stinks is full of humbug. This game should win Nintendo Power's game of the year award. The graphics and gameplay are excellent.

I picked up Paper Mario at the beginning of the summer because I was bored, and looking for a good video game to play. I got exactly what I was looking for - an engaging game that took about 25 hours to complete and that I literally couldn't put down sometimes. If you have school obligations or other huge responsibilities in your life, I seriously wouldn't recommend this because you will spend a few days constantly engrossed in the Paper Mario world.

If you played Super Mario RPG, you will know exactly what to expect - the structure and gameplay are both very similar to the Super Nintendo game, albeit improved greatly. The battle system is unique and the pacing is perfectly timed. For any fan of RPGs (or of Mario games) this is a great one.

Don't be fooled by the 2d graphics. Paper Mario can be quiet fun to play with all the levels and mini games to play. Even if you think the villians are too easy to beat think again! Through out the game you will encounter bad guys that will be too tough to beat on your current level. However that's not a problem, you can upgrade your chracter to increase your health, badge points, and power. If your not sure about it, rent it and see for yourself.

So COOOOOOOOL!

This game is Soooooooooooooooo cool! I would reccomend this game to anyone who has enjoyed other Mario games such as Super Mario64 and Mario Party. Also, I congratulate Nintendo on their great additions of Mario's Party (Ha ha), and the great use of puns and overall comedy. This game really lived up to my expectations... and so much more!

A Truly Great Video Game

Paper Mario is one of the most enjoyable games I have played anywhere. The graphics are bright, colorful, and unique. The music is original and catchy and the story and characters are just fantastic. This is without a doubt the most creative and involving game I have seen on any video game system or computer. And as anyone who has played the game knows the controls and combat style are fun and well designed. To those people who see the game's cartoon/comic book visual style and reject it as a game made for little kids, you don't know what you're missing. To anyone who owns a Nintendo 64 or is thinking about getting one no matter what your gender no matter what your age I highly recommend Paper Mario. The only flaw I see in the game is it is on the short side. However, I think it is the kind of game you can play over and over again because there are so many different things to do. Enough said. Buy Paper Mario!

I think this game was really fun because there were so many characters and items to get. There were some difficult parts but I got through them and you probably would too. If you bought the game you might not understand it at first but once you get to Koopa troopa's fortress you start to understand it. I mostly liked this game because there are tons of places to go and you can get more hearts, flower points, and badge points by getting 100 star points that you get in battles. If you liked this game then you will probably like the other Mario games.
