Paper mario is the one of the best RGP to date.(Or on your N64) Anyway it has a huge plot, with hidden secrets. You many ask how the game can be so huge? The game is 325mb, when games like kirby64 are only 90mb. There is a lot of reading and the opening moive is abit long. You play as mario, peach, and 7 friends help you on your quest. I must warn you i've lost alot of sleep over this game.(I just beat it, with 30 hours playing time) So if you are looking for a good RGP game for your n64, this is my favorite.

I feel Paper Mario is one of the best mario games since the originals. I loved the 2D instead of the of the 3D view. I only hope that Nintendo makes one for Game Cube in the future.

I had never played an RPG game and I feel this game opened my mind to them. My only complaint is that I wish it had more levels.

A great game!

Paper Mario is in my opinion, one of the most in-depth RPG for Nintendo. The story is good, somehow similar, but original. The graphics are awsome, you can tell by just looking at any screenshot so I don't need to tell you about that. Music and sounds are also good. If you are looking for character development, there is. For example, you can go to the post office and read letters left for each character that joins up with you, therefore finding out more info about them. To progress thru the story to, you have to do allot of things, like you need to find out the secret identity of someone in order to get to an ancient temple, or, prove that Mario did not comitt murder by finding the real criminal, and allot of other things to do thruout the game. So yes, Paper Mario may seem more like a game for children, but I think it is fun for anyone, and anyone can find this to be a great game.

A game for fun, strategy development and even math! When my teenage daughter played it first time; she was more rely on her quick response (the action command required you pressing the controller at certain time). Then she was more onto calculation; what was the best way to beat your enemy, a choice to use certein item or strategy. Now that I saw her and her little four year old brother played in more than five time and looked like they still have fun with it. Each time she came up with something new, like a new badge. She also let her brother play, tell him to return Mario to a Todd house to recover, go to certain places, by something.

cute but not for kids only!!

Can't miss this latest Mario game if you are a true fan of the Italian red & blue plumber! The game is so new I have not yet finished it but I don't want it to end! Don't be fooled by the cartoon environment, this game is for all ages AND GENDERS. It is first very easy if you are a habitual gamer however it progresses and becomes slightly harder as you go. Just like any other Mario game, this one is packed with hidden passages, tricks and special attack badges you can find in the most bizarre places! If you are not an RPG fan however, rent this game first! There is a lot of dialogue and gamers who enjoy hardcore action may be left hanging impatiently for a bit. ...

The Best mario it's not, but it ranks up there with them

PAPER MARIO offers a new twist on, literally, a classic game. Mario typically only has to jump on Goombas to defeat them, but now he has to battle them. This isn't like older Mario games, it's new, but the layout and feel of it remains the same. Princess Peach has (Once Again) been kidnapped by Bowser and it's up to mario to save her. Only the catch in THIS Mario game is that Bowser has a Star Rod which makes him pretty much invincible. In otherwords, Bowser can, for once, put a little Mario up on his wall (Which, I argue, is nothing compared to the little Bowsers Mario must have on his wall). To beat Bowser, Mario has to find each of the seven Star Spirits. To do this, he's got to travel to the far ends of the Globe to get them.

Everything is back. Luigi, Peach, the Yoshis, Goombas, Koopas, even the Pipes are here. This has the spirit of a Mario game, but it's a new twist. And frankly, it works. I liked this game. There's enough odds and ends that can set you aside from the overall quest that it'd take weeks to uncover all of the games little secrets. That's an excellent game in my book.

The only, only, ONLY complaint I have is that the intro into the game takes too long. It takes too long from when mario and Luigi receive the letter to go to peach's Party to where Mario goes out on his quest. Waaaaaaay to long.

A Fun Mario Game.

Paper Mario is a great game, even though it dosen't exactly have amazing graphics. The combat is fun, but at first, it can be a little frustrating, but you just have to get used to it. The story's not to complicated: Bowser stole the star wond from the 7 magical star god things up in heaven, and the wand gives him almost infinite power. After stealing the wand, he turns the star gods into rocks, and leaves his best minions to gaurd them from Mario. He then kidnaps Princess Peach (what else it new), and Mario must save her and the world from Bower's reign of power. But, by himself he is too weak with Bower's new powers, so along the way he gets help from friends, like Cooper, the coopa troopa. And, he must break the star gods free, so that they can leand him their power to him, ultimatly giving him enough power to stop Bowser, and free the world. SOOO, if you're a Mario fan, this game is a must have. The only problem? No Yoshi.

A Great Game for All Ages

This game reminds me of the good ol' days of Nintendo, where every title of theirs had a cute premise and was easy to pick up, but was difficult and satisfying enough for even hardcore gamers. Even though I have been playing videogames for a while now, I had never played an RPG (excluding Zelda). That's when Paper Mario came along. At first I stayed away from the game, hearing it was "too short" or "too easy". But after reading many good reviews, I decided to buy PM. I didn't regret it. This game instantly sucks you into its own "world" with great, funny graphics. Upon seeing screenshots for the game, I wished they had made the graphics more like Super Mario RPG (the great prequel to this game for the SNES which I am now playing), but you will be surprised how good they are and how much character they add to the game. For example, if mario enters a pipe, he will curl up like a piece of paper and appear out the other side of it. True, the story hasn't changed since the first Mario game, but there are plenty of new characters and plot twists thrown in for a extremely enjoyable experience. The game is split up into "chapters", giving the player a feeling like they're reading a big pop-up storybook. The battles are unlike any other RPG, in which you use timed presses of buttons and rapid movements of the control stick to execute your attacks. The music is excellent, especially in places like Shiver City and Dry Dry Desert. Cutscenes are some of the best I have seen, packed with humor and cinematic feel. Especially enjoyable are the scenes where you view what is happening with Peach while Mario is out adventuring. You even control the princess thoughout these parts of the game! Yes, beating the game proved easy for me, but it should take most gamers some time, as the quest is quite long. But completing the game is very, very difficult, with loads of side quests and essential items called "badges" scattered around the four corners of the land. Getting everything in this game (without a players guide) is a task not even I have accomplished. Boss battles are accompanied with exceptional tunes, superb attack animations and "white nuckle" gameplay. Plus, the dungeons are well thought out, altough a tad on the short side. Do yourself a favor and pick up this title without haste, whether you are new to RPGs or a seasoned gamer. I guarantee that if you have a heart for good games, you won't be disappointed.

This is one of my favorite Mario games ever. At first, it seems a little odd because everytime you fight someone you take turns hitting eachother. Trust me though, you'll be addicted in no time. Everytime you fight and win, you get points to increase your abilities. There are many different goals in this game and you can even interact with all the characters. This game is fun for everyone.

My 6 yr old and 9yr old girl and boy love this game!
