This game is very childish!

Here is my review- I won't restate the specific features of the game, which can be found in the editor's review. This is an extreamly childish game. There are many courses, all based off of about four different track styles. The music, and especially the sounds, are very corny. I can definately relate this game to my little brother's Reader Rabit Preschool on the computer. The graphics are okay, but used in a cartoon manner to create a very colorful, but unrealistic world. The physics of the game were planned poorly. The characters look like those Pokimon things. I would only buy this game if it was to be used by those under ten. Otherwise, it is too easy to beat and way to childish. (I am 14 and I beat the thing in all of the different difficulties in two hours. It is not very interesting after completed. You are not rewarded in any way with new tracks, characters, codes, or special features.)

Mario Kart 64 Launched with the N64 and it sure did good with the sales but Ultimatley this is disapointing. Mario Kart Succeds in graphics departure but Fails at the boring over and over gameplay that you indure in the game. Don't get me wrong this is a great game but it just pretty much fail to fun factor. Back when I got this game when It first came out I simply loved it but after the next day it kind of got boring for me. The game is great but fails with the overuse of boring driving and nothing exciting happens. If it were up to me I would have addes some really cool Driving maze level(yeah it does sound lame but what ever)

In Graphics the game is simply superb. It really does make the N64 a really good lookin' system. The level desighning and great setups make it one of the better looking N64 back in the days when it was still popular.. It truly does make some Ps games look like crap.

The sound is pretty average...ehh I rather not go into that..

NOW.......The gameplay..
It just get's boring after awhile and nothing special happens and the single player is pretty short. But cool......
And that's pretty much it.

The Multiplayer is pretty fun. I had a blast playing it with my friends. It really is fun but like I said before...Nothing special.

When it all comes down to this. The boring yet kind of fun gameplay, Great Graphics but doesn't help gameplay, Really fun MP but still fails to succeed in fun factor(well atleast to me)

I give Mario Kart 64 a 3.4 stars out of 5

Nothing compared to the snes version

I guess this game is ok if you take it by itself. But if you've ever played the snes version of mario kart you are going to be very, very disapointed. The tracks are slow and boring for the most part, theres very little difference between the characters, and the powerups are weak.

The graphics are ok, but the suffer from very repeditive texturing, which can get pretty boring after a while. The only other good thing about this game is the 4 player capability, which makes its ok for parties etc.

Still, you'll thank your self if you can get your hands on a copy of the gba or snes version instead.

This is a mario rip off of REAL racing games.Also the stupid cartoonish karts go 14 mph.

This racing game is the best! The graphics and sound and play control are excellent! I should know, I own it! My favorite racers are Luigi, Bowser, and Wario! Great game!

Sorry Mario, your game was great.... until I beat it 3 hours later! Frankly I was a bit disapointed in you Nintendo. The graphics were great, but the music was poor. The levels were cute, so I nearly gave it to a little girl I was babysitting. All in all I think it was o.k. Buy it, beat it, and put it up in aution! Better luck next time Nintendo.

this game is not just good it is grrrrreat!!it has great sound eefecs it has great pics. and it has great relesam the grafics are killer and you got a selection on every thing from 1 to 2 to3 to4 players champenship for 1 or2 vs for 2 or 3 or 4 vs is a evry one trying to get evry one kinda thing you got some ballons and you try not to get them poped by falling of edges and in the real race part you can pick up ? boxes and they give you stuff to throw or use in diffrent ways ok there is a turtel shell that you can throw and there is a thing or 3 turtel shalls you can throw there are stars tha mack you un hurrtabul and there are some ghosts that fly a round you and help some how i am not shur how thou and there is a bunch of sengal bananas you put behind you and cause others to slipp and spin out of control and there are a big bundel of bananas that lets ot a lot be hind you for a lot of sliping and sping out of control there are more i can not think of but there are a lot more

Buy this game! It's addicting!

Enough said this is a great game! The single player might get boring after some time but the battle mode is the best!

This game starts out fun,but once you beat it it becomes boring, and if you are any good at playing Nintendo 64 you will prbobaly beat it in two hours.This is why I hate MarioKart 64

I absolutely loved the game until I beat it. It is VERY easy to win, and the battles arn't any fun! I only liked it for the first week or so! I helped that my review has helped you with you purchase!
