Misplaced "K" for Kids only.

The game is great to play, but for older kids it might get boring after awhile. The character voices and sound effects are repetitive and boring, there is a bit of aliasing on some levels, like the populated highway levels. And I hate having to buy a seperate rumble pack for my controller. But if you're diehard Nintendo, you will like it.

This game is awesome! There is so much to do on it. You could spend hours of none ending fun. I recomend this for all ages! Your kids would really enjoy it.

I liked this game but they cheat just a little 1. somtimes when you shoot a red shell at the computer they just spin like they hit a banana instead of flipping around in the air.

2.They go way in front of you if u wipe out and its impossible to catch up with them.

3. Like on Banshee Boardwalk when they fall off the side the dont fall in the water the float right back up when they fall.

4.When they do get hit with a weapon and they do flip around they flip once and then they get a sudden boost.

So there you go thats how they cheat!

This game is pretty good. I found it more fun with a compatible N64 steering wheel. Although the steering wheel made it hard to control it gave you a more challenging race than with the standard N64 controller. If you like Mario and cute little racing games than this is the game for you. If you are into all out hardcore racing than I wouldnt recommed this game.

Can anyone tell me if this is the Mario games that has them racing on a beach, in a ice castle(or something), a dirt track and other places?

mario kart 64 is by far the best n64 game
if you want non-violent racing with all the nintendo characters for a good price- look no further
also if you like mario kart 64, you might like

mario kart is not fun there is no secret characthers or secret places[i think]. I tried the game for an hour and was completly bored now i don't like racing games. The producers should have tried a little harder on this game i was completly unsatified.

To be picky here, it's 3 stars because some things that you may not notice. The game is fun, what with its amazing courses in the astounding Grand Prix. But some requirements didn't meet and build up a trophy. If only it had more characters, better graphics like the DS version, and a little less like the terrible and draggy Diddy Kong Racing. But, it's all A-okay.
The fun and enjoyment of the racing is what attracts everybody to play. Fun is the Superman of Mario Kart 64, the racing is the Batman, even the weapons can be Wonder Woman. Everybody, agree or disagree, three stars is better than 1 terrible star and 2 measly stars. Let's say, "Mario Kart, in fact, is a general video-gaming classic".

amazon.com is the way to go to buy used media.
If you like to save money and don't mind a Waiting for delivery, it's the way to go.
I bought this game for my son and he loved the extra instructions and literature that came with it.

I bought this game on [...], and waited more than a week to get it. I popped it in the N64 and started playing it.
The Graphics aren't bad. The game play isn't bad.
The Music is okay I guess. So here is my rating for this game:

I liked Mario Kart Super Circuit for Game Boy Advance better,
so if you have a Game Boy Advance, buy Mario Kart Super Circuit. If you don't and have a N64, BUY THIS GAME.
