No doubt, this is the best GC game yet, and will stay that way untill "Turok: Evolution" comes out...If your a fan of Resident Evil you'll love it, if your not you'll love it anyway(unless you dont like hard games). Graphics kick [rear] and couldn't better unless shot with a digital camcorder. The controls are a little hard to get used to but if your into it'll breeze right through. Lots of weapons, too. A knew type of rocket launcher but it's a secret so i wont say anything else. And new enemys, but that should be a surprise too.

ive played all the re games and i enjoy this remake the best the weapons are great and the cg is byfar the best in the biz. i expected something like this from ps2 or xbox not from the cube. but now that ive seen it all all we need to do is wait for RE4 (which system) and online PS2 all we ca hope is that maybe someday that someone will remake RE2,3,surviver and veronica to rate a 5 in my book.

I bought a Gamecube originally because two of my other close friends had an Xbox and a PS2 so i thought it would be cool if we could all go over to one of our houses and play all three. Up until Resident Evil, i had been severely dissapointed in the gamecube games (beside super smash bros. melee) and started to think maybe i had made a mistake buying the gamecube. Enter Resident Evil, the best survival horror game ever. This game is incredibly scary and gory, and you also have to use strategy to make sure you dont use all your ammunition or ink ribbons which allow you to save the game. I suggest if you're thinking of getting RE to also purchase prima's official strategy guide to it because some of the little puzzels (grandfather clock, lisa trevor stained glass window, armor room etc...) would be impossible to figure out, BUT, don't use the strategy guide as a walkthrough to the whole game, it takes all the fun away, just use it when you absolutely need to.

When debating which of the 3 gaming systems to purchase I got advice from everyone almost all of which told me to stay away from Gamecube. But me being a Nintendo fan since the early days of NES and then to N64, I stuck with them and after buying Resident Evil I'm glad I did. This system is compact and packs awesome graphic detail into small mini dics. I bought a few other games with the system but this one will definitely rank as my favorite for quite some time. Plenty of animation sequences and puzzles to stump even the best gamers out there. The only fault I'd give this game at all is the delay when going through doors. I know its due to it loading up into memory all the graphics for the next room so that isn't that big a deal to me. It actually gives you a chance to relax for a few seconds before something else comes at you. I look forward to seeing more games of this caliber and to Nintendo making another mark in the gaming world.

I was amazed when I saw that Resident Evil was getting remaked for GC. It's great! I love the remake and feel that the story makes justice of what the game was in 1996. The graphics were out of this world and it was great. I give this game 5 stars for everything. I think Capcom was great at remaking it and I think they did a great job in it. NuyoRicanLuvsU@aol.com

This game has to be one of the scariest ever made. The house is extrememly redone to where it is dark and very omnious. After walking through some doors the camera angle may be looking through a window at you and then switch to a Long hall way. You also cannot see around corners, which drives you mad. Zombies also get up from ANYWHERE, they may open a door you just walked by or come out of the shadows. Weapons are also very scarce, so most of the time you are running. The puzzles are difficult and intriquing. The creatures you also run into vary greatly, their are few things that arent represented, from plants and bees to snakes. The new features that are added is the ability for zombies corpes to still lie around and get up later unless you shoot them through the head and the fact that now you can go outside into the woods, which is probably the scariest thing in this game. Basically, turn off the lights and lock the door and play at it, you wont be dissapointted.

if you are a resident evil fan this game will make you drool.
those that think it's simply a graphic upgrade of the original are DEAD WRONG. It's like playing a whole new game!
even people who are not big fans of RE games should check this out. the new gameplay controls (option C in the game) help to upgrade the original clunky control system, and the graphics and atmosphere are amazing. new game puzzles are very rewarding. If you enjoy gaming, DON'T pass this one up. If you don't own a gamecube, GET ONE for this game alone.
WOW!

that's all i can say about this game. sure the backgrounds are pre rendered but wait till you go outside. the wind howling through the trees and the fog creeping in makes you want to turn right back around and go inside where it's nice and safe! haha the background music is top notch as well. i love exploring the underground passage around the water tank. the music in these scenes is creepy! the cut scenes that show the tanks being drained are amazing! the water effects blew me away! and the opening sequence is flawless--it sets up the game perfectly. i never owned a ps (the enemy!!!! haha) and this was my first time playing a resident evil game. i've been spoiled now cuzz this game is too good!

Capcom has done a great job with this, they have expanded on the mansion, added on dozens of new rooms. Made the maze even harder !!! (If such a thing is possible). This game underwent a massive overhaul in graphics, and it is stunning !!! stunning!!! This is a must buy for any fan of the RE series, or for anybody with a gamecube who is curious as to what Resident evil is. This game is essentially a remake (With major editing) of an already great game (remake of RE1 on PS1). This new RE-remake has a great deal more rooms, and a few other things, but you'll have to wait until you play to find them.

This game is the remake of the original Resident Evil for the Playstation, but it is hardly the same game. This is a completely new, and much better game experience. There are very familiar scenes and monsters; however, the level of play, graphics, and cinemas are beyond what I had expected. This game has great mood settings for a wonderful horror game. From the rumble of thunder, flashes of lightning thru the window, to the cawing of crows, the sounds in the game make you feel nervous and terrified. Then throw in a great, scary soundtrack where the music is placed perfectly; and I will never want to hear the "Moonlight Sonata" ever again after this game. Play the game to hear what I mean
