Great Game for all gamers.

Over the last few years, I have played many games, but none more fun or challenging than this. It was great to finally play a challenging game with awesome graphics, great sounds, and an amazing storyline.
This game is not just a remake of the original "Resident Evil", but it was totally redone. It has amazing graphics, unlike any other game that I have ever seen. This has more to it, and much better sounds. The voices were also redone. It has so much more, and is so much better than the original. It is fun, exciting, and scary. This is a "Must Buy" for anyone who owns a GameCube.

Well, its about time!

It's been long enough but fianlly and M rated game comes out for the gamecube and well, it has the best graphics of a game ever and its the scariest game ever. The only thing I dont like about it is its slow pace, but It does not matter that much because the eye candy can make any one happy, but theres other stuff so don't worry. It is a no brainer for Gamecube owners, and non Gamecube owners should seriously consider gettign one for this game and the other games coming out in the future.

NOT AN OTHER PORT ITS AN UPGRADE

This game has incredible graphics and the zombies scare your pants off every time. This is more than just a remake, they added a new zombie called a crimson head that comes back to life unless you cut its head off! The only thing wrong with this game is the control and you can fix it, you go to the menu and go to control setup c. The only thing i have to say is WOW this game fully realizes the gamecube graphics chip. This is the reason to get a GameCube.

Great, great... But I still miss something

I bought a GameCube just to play this game (I mean, all the Resident Evil Series)...
You can't discuss that this game has great graphics, it actually scares you, there are fast zombies in this game that really freak you out, and when you stop playing, then you might sleep with your lights turned on, because IT IS SCARY, no doubt about that.
The graphics like I said, are great. You can see it in screenshots and trailers... That's it, a great graphic work (when you walk in a wood floor, you can see dust... you can see a lil bit of fog entering in the window that's not totally opened.... and these kind of things that makes Resident Evil for GC look great...).
Sound? Perfect... Sometimes you can hear zombies, but you can't see them... You can hear when a zombie is trying to open a door (if you dont kill a zombie in a room and you run, sometimes when you come back the zombie will knock in the door, and when you pass by it, the zombie will attack, that's why there are defense items... you can throw a knife in the enemies head, you can blow enemie's head, shock enemie's body). The soundtrack has some weak points for me... I prefered the PlayStation one... There are some places and some cameras in this game I don't like too...
At all, it is a great game, but not perfect... Resident Evil for PlayStation still has something special nobody could ever copy, even with those great graphics and sound. I don't know what it is, you'll feel it playing... or not.

way overated

sure, the graphics are good, but the games difficulty is so high it's just not fun, even with a guide. trust me, rent it before you buy it.

A worthy remake, but compared to RE4, it's absolute junk.

My first jaunt into the world of Resident Evil was the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 4. That game was creepy, intense, and downright amazing. It made many strides in the world of survival horror games, and set the mark for action games to come.
This game, a remake of the PlayStation original, looks absolutely fantastic. The use of prerendering and lighting all sets a great tone. However, the gameplay is so archaic, it's disturbing. Pressing up on the control stick makes your character run forward - no matter what direction he/she is facing. Zombies are near impossible to kill without completely depleting ammunition (which is very hard to find) or taking several hits in a futile attempt to take them down with a knife. The fixed camera angles are atrocious at times, and it just doesn't feel right after playing such an awesome game as RE4.
If you have a special place in your heart for the original Resident Evil, or you are willing to put up with several horrible issues that were fully addressed in RE4, I'd suggest giving this game a chance. For everyone else, there's not much to see here but a hopelessly outdated control scheme and a bunch of cheap scares. Try RE4 instead.

As far as I know completely AWESOME!

I just pre-ordered this game and I am very anxious to get it. If everything I've heard is true then this game will be the best GC title for a while. THe zombies no longer shuffle towards you. They stampede! They don't even stop at stairs and doors anymore. Now they won't stop no matter what. More than half of the game is re-done. Every Item is placed in a different location and there are now two difficulty levels. Now with new weapons, very realistic 3D graphics, and a bunch of great fun this game is going to be great! I just cannot wait for this game to come out. As far as I know this is destined to be a system-seller. I would definately recommend getting this game...today!

Not just the same Resident Evil

Do you remember the blocky zombies and the fake sounding gun shots? Well if you're sick of those third world graphics and bad sound get the resident evil remake. You'll be happy you got it but if you or one of your children get night mares easily do not
get this game. Because if your not easily scared you'll be scared buy this game. The reson why it's fun is because the fear factor is so high and the graphics are the best. So when you play this game there will be creepy music and the zombies are so tuff and it won't just take two shots to kill a zombie. So this game will defenatly send a chill down your spine. When you play it in the dark you'll be freaked so reccommened play it with lights on or when it's day time.
