Metroid Prime is not Worth it

It was so boring man I wanted to sleep. The best game I would say for action would be James Bond: Nightfire.

This Game is one of the worst games I have ever played!!!!

This game...is not one of the best games of 2002. This a true review. I will tell you the story. I really wanted this game and thought it was going to be worth [$$]. I read game reviews for this game and it sounded it was going to be a good game. I saved lots of money for this game because I heard it was good. Finally, after I saved up enough money for this game over 007 Nightfire, I bought it. When I got home, I was so excited and I put it in. The 1st stage was [bad], but I thought the 1st stage always doesn't come out well, so I beet more stages and you know what, they [aren't] so much[fun], I mean come on, it has auto aim in it. I was so disappointed that I had wasted [$$]. Trust me, do not trust good reviews. it has good grapics and all but ..... If you want a good metroid, get the originals or just get Metroid Fusion on Game Boy Advance or if you have Super Nintendo, Get them but do not get Metroid Prime. This is one of the worst games on Nintendo Gamecube ever. ... Trust me, do not get this game (If you do, You'll be sorry). Do not get this game.

...ok so heres the idea of the game....take an action genre such as first person shooter..thats typicaly fulled of action and fun...and instead make it incredibly boring...but give the consumer lots of needless information like "this plant is the jugahuga plant"..I DONT CARE!!

this game bores meeee the boss fight where u were runnign around it was pretty fun but thats the only action in the game...the world was beautiful and everythign was beautiful...but i didnt 'click' with this world... it just felt like i was looking at a pretty moving picture....kind of the equivalent of watching somebody else playing.......then again i like watching my friends play games..but..just not this one...

Shamefull.....

Totally and utterly disapointing, this may be an ok game
if you only own a gamecube. Compare this hard dodgy frustrating
FPS to something like Metal Gear Solid 2 or Hitman 2.

Conclusion:
Best Game Ever? Pah! don't make me laugh.

What else can I say? Metroid Prime will be another GCN hit once it is released. The effects are super! The gameplay is super! Samus is super! This is no doubt a GCN must-have! Dude, just wait till you play it!!!

Terrible Game Do not Buy, anyone who compares this game to halo should really have their head checked out. The Graphics on gamecube are terrible, and I sold my gamecube to buy an Xbox. Not to mention that I got a terrible deal on selling my gamecube because no one wants it. This was one of the few games I bought for the terrible cube, and it is just a terrible game. We will just have to see what system is still standing after a year or two if I could put all my money on one system it would be Xbox. This game has absolutely no story line and has some of the worst graphics I have seen since Nintendo 64. To all those gamecubers out there my suggestion to you is to bite the bullet spend a couple bucks and buy an Xbox. Just remember there is no power greater then "X"

I know its not out yet, but im gonna buy it. If anything has the word "Metroid" slapped on it, i'll buy it. Metroid has been around for longer than i have. If you own a Nintendo Gamecube, and you don't buy this game, I'll toss cookies all over you... You have been warned.

Metroid is back, but presents a series of disappointments

The infamous title of "Metroid" returns to Nintendo, but doesn't top the classics. I must say, when i got this game, it was because of the reputation that the previous Metroid games had established, and truthfully, I was dissapointed. The first-person shooter perspective accociated with the game can be somewhat frustrating at times, and the game is not very difficult. The high points of this game would have to be the innovative visor modes that can be found to expand Samaus' advantage on the various enemies she faces, as well as the "beams" that can be used (i.e. the wave beam, the plasma beam, etc.)to blast away anything that opposes her. The graphics are satisfying, the music is not bad, but the gameplay has to be the Achilles heel of the game. The original Metroid and Super Metroid focused a good deal on exploration, but Metroid Prime seems to just focus on shooting and killing. The previous Metroid titles were giants of their time, but this Metroid installment leaves a lot to be desired. Make sure to rent this game before purchasing it.

Is it really the best game ever made?

While the game starts out with a bang, it gets kind of boring and repeditive in the middle, but like all Metroid games, everything always explodes near the end, and that's what gamers always anticipate. Perhaps it's not the abseloute greatest game ever made, but it's still a good game that every GameCube owner should take for a spin at least once.

Fun game to begin with!

This game was very fun for the first week I had it, I have to admit. But once I got to the Space Pirate Metroid labs, and had to battle metroids for the first time in the game, I was surrounded by over 20. It wasn't the greatest introduction to the main enemy.I tried to get past that level again, and I couldnt because I kept falling from the spiral staircase when i tried to use morph bombs on the blood sucking metroids.I didnt like the parts when you are told that you have to visit an area that is very hard to get to in order to complete parts of the game. And I hate the fact that all of the checkpoints are spaced so far apart. One of the biggest problems with games like this are that you are the only character in the game- no allies is a big problem with these games. But if you can get to, and past the part I set down my controller from, you will probably love this addicting game.
