First Off, This Game [Is Great]! The Fact That This Game Is Exclusive For PS2 [Is Even Better]! If You've Never Played It, Do Yourself A Favor And Buy It, Or Rent It, Or Whatever. Blood, Guns, And Swords Really Make A Good Game. The Graphics Are Awsome, And Even Though The Camera Angles Can Get Bothersome, It Is An Excellent.
This game is awesome!!!

I like this game because it is a good challenge. The enhancement system is very good, I like the buying system because you buy your moves and you obtain new weapons along the way. Plus once you beat a mode you unlock another mode. Dante must die mode is the hardest of all modes but when you beat it you get a big suprise at the end. There are no button codes for this game and thats what makes it very fun. Cheating will get you no where, it will make you bored. The story line on this game is perfect and will interest you. You will want to find out more of the story as you go along the way. The graphics of this game is awesome, it isn't boxy. Its graphic almost reach to perfection! To those who are thinking about getting this game, buy it. Its price is cheaper now and it is extremely fun. I must congratulate Capcom for making a game that is very fun and intertaining.
Hard to beat this game.

Capcom pulled all the stops for this one. I reveiwed the second game first only because the majority of gamers had already played this one. But for those who haven't you really need to get this game. Devil May Cry redefines action games. First off if you have a weak stomach or a slow reaction time with your hands this games not for you. The controls are so dead on Dante feels like an extension of yourself. The game moves quickly and pulling off combo attacks are easy and a necessity. All enemies provide a moderate to extremely hard fight depnding on who you are up against. Some of the stage enemies could be bosses on other games. The bosses are huge and tough. This game is tough. You get no free ride through this one. The graphics are execellent. Having S-video hook-up really allows you to see the time put into detailing this games graphics. Most gamers have this in their collection already, and if your just getting started I highly recommend this game as a good start up game.
Best Action/Adventure game BY FAR!

This game is simply amazing. The controlls are smooth, and the actions flow as though the controller were an extention of yourself. There is no effort in switching from sword to gun, and this makes it possible to do some amazing combos. The moves are well animated and look great. The main character himself is a reason to play this game; Dante is totally original, and an extreme bada**. There are a few downsides though; the camera can get annoying as it switches when you move from place to place, and make it difficult to reach certain areas, but the rest of the game by far makes up for that.
One of the very best Capcom has to offer

In survival horror. I admit at first I was a little hesitant to play this game seeing how it fell into the genre of "survival horror," but once I started playing and found how much of a "badass" that Dante really was. I was instantly hooked, the game is by far action packed from start to finish. For those saying the game was a little bit too easy, you're definitely wrong. Try playing the game on HARD MODE or maybe Dante Must Die mode. Once you play those modes you'll truly know what its like to be thrown into a melee of indestructible adversaries and astounding feats of speed and strength. Overall the game is outstanding. Now lets see what they offer in DMC2.

Ever wonder when a 3-D based Castlevania game would do well? Our prayers have now been answered. Capcom has released perhaps its greatest game ever with Devil May Cry. Who ever said Capcom was ever limited to Resident Evil? Destroying your enemies with a gun, and running through a lacking plot was starting to bore some of that have been loyal to the Resident Evil series anyway. So, what does Capcom do, they step it up a notch by creating a well-developed story, increasing the variety of weapons and actually giving your weapons techniques that one must obtain through purchase.
Nothing is better than tossing a marionette in to the air with the Alastor and pounding it with demonic bullets from Ebony and Ivory. Pure genius.

This game had a lot of hype and I was doubtful in the beginning, but now that I own it and have played it nonstop, I am wondering why there isn't more hype about the best game next to Tekken that I have played for the PS2 yet! The graphics and the moves you can pull to annihilate enemies are amazing! The game is anything but repetitive and has tons of playing time, so it won't be over quick. The ability to build up your Dante's skills make it kind of like a RPG in the sense that you may find yourself destroying demons just to make Dante an even bigger..., if that is possible. What else can I say? The graphics = amazing, gameplay = incredible...!
GREAT GAME!

The controls are easy to learn, the story is engaging, and the action is in your face! The graphics are beautiful and the voice acting is well done. It has lots of puzzles and various hidden items too. If you like action games or horror games, you owe it to yourself to get this one!
