Now I usually write funny, sarcastic reviews about games but this is not the case. This game is a classic, and will be forever (and yes i have played it so im not bulling you, i have my sources, and there Not elegal). This will go on and on if capcom keeps making additions and sequals the devil may cry hero Dante could get to be as big as mega man, and become an official sony mascot. But i mean hes freakin cool. He's got that look on his face like "hey you step on my foot ill slice your body in half, shoot you repeatedly in the air and turn into a demon and electrocute you!"and thats just what he does. really.

The gameplay is fantastic, best seen yet on PS2. Non stop action that you never get bord of and unlike other games you start to crave for kills like "weres another enemy! I havent used this sword in like 10 seconds! cmon!" Although guns have unlimited ammo (no more ammo scavenging yay!) the battles are quiet challenging and fair, and fun!

I cant even describe how realistic the graphics are. They may look a little dated but its really shady like that to give it a more dramatic look and make it more realistic, and it does that flawlessly.Sound is also top notch, giving you chills up your spine with screams of enemys and gothic techno kind of music.

It is a PS2 owners duty to get this game, its best PS2 game yet.

This game is the best game I have ever seen. Its just beatifull, the creators of the game are genious. congratulations CAPCOM, I have been playing games all my life and this one gets the first prize by far.

Capcom redefines the 3D action genre with Devil May Cry

Devil May Cry is how 3D action games should be done. It combines the action and gothic atmosphere of Castlevania with the crisp, detailed 3D graphics characteristic of Resident Evil. The gameplay may take some getting used to, but after a couple of hours into the game it becomes addictively fun. Using a variety of swords and firearms, you'll blast your way through hordes of twisted evil creatures and beautifully crafted environments. It only takes about 7-10 hours to beat the first time around, but since nothing in the game is tedious to acquire you'll want to play it over and over. The only obvious flaw with Devil May Cry is the camera angles. I found myself walking or jumping in one direction when the view suddenly changed and caused me to move in another direction. Some boss fights can be frustrating due to this, but ultimately it's a minor problem. I also would have liked the option to use the directional pad to move instead of the analog stick (I just don't like that thing). Even if the camera angles are a bit shakey, it doesn't keep Devil May Cry from being an excellent game. If action games are your genre, don't hesitate to pick up this new classic.

A must buy!!!! One of the best games for PS@!!!

A MUST BUY!!!

This game is about gameplay. who here remembers the double dragon games? i do and they were some of the greatest games ever. why? graphics? no Gameplay

ok first of all the graphics are awesome. not the best on the ps2, but great nontheless. the aliasing issues distracts you when ur just walking around.

but

This game totally delivers in gameplay. i cant tell you how much fun it is to whoop some stylish combos and blast some demons to holy heck with your dual handguns.

yes the puzzles are easier than RE, but who cares. this game is about action, not puzzles. the bosses are mean as anything.

whoever says they beat this game first time through in less than 10 hours i feel sorry for. they either used a guide, or just rushed through it without enjoying it. i cant tell you how many times i would just walk around, not look for progression, but just to whoop some butt.

This game is about kickin butt and looking good while doing it. it doesnt punish you for killing like in RE. it rewards you to buy even more awesome moves.

Did i mention sound??? Crank up the volume on this baby to really enjoy it. guns blazing while in devil mode with explosions all around you.
cant get much better than this.

A Gaming Masterpiece!

Although the game did seem short with little replay value, DMC is a masterpiece in gaming. I've been waiting for a game in the Survival Horror genre where the characters can actually "jump". DMC gave non-stop action from start to finish!

This is my favorite game aside from Drakengard! Devil May Cry 2 sucked, I hope there's a #3 comin' out soon.

i like this game and i like dante his e real hero his faster & u can kick ass all the monsters of the game ,,, if u like resident evil u have & u must play this game

When i first played this game i was amazed...graphics are great...boses are a challange....and u got all those kewl dodging moves which are real fun to do against the boses(makes the game a whole lot easier and more fun) I myself really like h0w it has the stylish rateing for what u did...it makes u try harder and get better at the game...and also i love the weapons in the game. Defintely the Ifrit Gauntlets. They are s0 kewl...This games storyline wasnt the best in the world (which was a dissapointment) but its not soo terrible that u cant play the game. And besides this game is 10x's better then Devil May Cry 2...This game was put into a sort of freaky world setting. Giant mysterious mantions, dif demon worlds...stuff like that but devil may cry 2 is placed in the city??and with some wierd boss guy or something...of all things???Anyways i love the Devil May Cry boses...they are the best part of the game (i love Nelo Angelo) there are all really fun and usually arnt too hard for u to quit the game. Anyways i loved the game...there really wasnt any defects in the game that were serious enough to put...oh yea and i also like all the kewl moves...there are sooo many and that makes the game much better then most. Well i hope u found my review helpfull and lata have a nice rest of the day.

This game is really good its hard very hard but it looks so cool tis like a side scroller but better than a side scroller sort of like shinobi or ninja gaiden in 3d but it stead of a ninja you are a half human half demon bad boy its really cool I like it better than capcom's other the survial horror games get its cool hard but cool
