I loved the game; it is definitely better than most games. The game has a variety of weapons, and challenges. I have to admit I cheated one time when I was stumped for 3 days...well worth the money.

Simply the best !

GoW it's simply the best game that I ever played long time ago. Very reallistic graphics, nice music, lots of fun and mistery.

I mainly just play RPG and turn based strategy games, but I took a chance on this game. The gamble paid off! It's fun to play, the graphics are gorgeous, & I love the gratuitous violence and nudity. So far I've only played pass the three headed hydra, but it's been fun and the learning curve for the game was fairly easy. I loved "saving" the guy with the captain's key, only to snatch the key and drop him into the dead hydra's belly full of digestive juices. Even better was the two naked women who obviously showed their gratitude to kratos for rescuing them. My only complaint is that I wish you could customize the controls. I wouldn't recommend this game for young gamers,due to the excessive, but good, violence and nudity.

God of War for the Playstation 2 is possibly one of the most greatest games you can buy for a PS2. God of Wars cunning story line, fighting sequences, and massive puzzle solving is what makes this game a true video game. In the game the camera angles almost make the game seem like a movie which gives it a great style and taste too the games atmosphere. The Weapons and powers you get are incredible. You can preform real violant and grusome moves like ripping heads off, and ripping torso's off. The game is long. Which is good if your a expierenced gamer. Most games I play I beat in a day, but this game will have you occupied for a good time. The game can get fustrating at times though. At times I felt like snapping the game in two and throwing my controller out the window. But don't let that ruin your idea of buying this game. It def. is one of the greatest games out there. Graphics. oh my god the graphics. At times I forgot i was actually playing on a PS2. The games graphics are so sleek and so smooth that you your self will forget your on a PS2.

This is good action advanture game. I like Final Fantasy VII and X better. Final Fantasy is RPG and God of War is action. So, it may be unfair to compare them. But both of them look like a movie. Fianl Fantasy X and VII have better story and more crazy world to explore.

Anyway, God of War is great game. Playing God of War reminds me playing Tomb Raiden in the old days. They are similar but God of War has much better graphics

This game surpassed the hype that the media gave it. The game is gorgeous; it's brutal, mean and AWSOME. In this game, you play Kratos, a warrior who used to be part of the Spartan army, now a torn fragment of what he used to be. Right in the first level, you are immersed into an experience of pure brilliance. The battle system is great, the camera, although you cannot control it, never provides you with a problem, and the combos of great.

Graphics: This is definitely one of the best the playstation has ever seen; the cinematics depict the human form almost perfectly. The graphics are also very mature, this game has an "M" stamp on it, and it deserves it. From almost full out nudity to actions of ripping your opponent in half, or impaling him, runs rampant throughout the game.

Game play: INCREDIABLE! Seamless camera angles, perfect battle system and enemies that are not too easy and are not too hard. The only thing that presented alight problem, was some of the control recognition when you're trying to pull off a special kill to a minatour. The creators also threw in a unique balancing element to the game as well. In many areas you actually have to balance on planks, stone, and even a part of a roof with spinning blades attached to it.

Sound: This game has the best musical score I have heard since Legacy of Kain. The orcastrated music in the game sets the mood your in and really portrays Kratos's anger. Voice-overs are in perfect sync to the lips of the characters and when you kill someone you tend to hear how your killing them, break a neck, hear it snap, rip someone in half hear the blood splat and the torso pop. GREAT SOUND

Overall this game is completely worth the 50 dollar price tag and should be treated like a god (no pun intended)

You will not be sorry buying this game. It is perfect all around. I never play a game twice but this game was so terrific I had to play it again at a harder level. I have had games I was sorry they ended but I am mouring this one. I still may go back and try it at God level.
There are a lot of naked women and splattered blood so it may not be for every taste.

This game is JESUS! i love it. its soo addicting.
at first im playing okay w/e just a regular hack and slash.
next day i wake up and 1st thing i do...Start to play it
and wow! i love it.
the puzzles are too easy
