I am a fan of Dragon ball z and dragon ball gt is the best game for playstation 2 if you played is liked be watching the episodes that is on the TV in cartoon network.

I have seen many games of Dragonball Z genre. I have to see a game that matches Budokai. I was amazed by the voices on the game. The voices are the same on the game as the show. The graphics are stunningly 3-D. The best part of the game is if you feel your opponent is too strong go SS. If you are gohan and you opponent is too strong just go SS2. This is an excellent game and I would recommend this game to any dragonball z fan.

Dragon ball z budokai rules same characters as the tv show but different voices. You can play up to the cell saga.The characters that you can unlock are Raditz Vegeta Nappa Hercule Gohan great saiyaman Teen gohan super saiyans yamcha androids 17 18 19 16 Cell Frieza Zarbon Dodaria Trunks Krillin Goku Tien and well almost all characters. there are 5 playable modes to play Story Duel world tournament practice edit skills options. YOU MUST BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY BUYBUY BUYBUYBUYBUYBUYBUYU THIS GAME IT IS AWESOME rICHARD SOURAIVONGSAA AND JEFF PANYANOUVONG.

A fighter that finally does DBZ justice

This game is a must have for a DBZ fan, with 23 playable characters, the American voices from the show, and also because it's plot follows the story exactly (except for the unlockable alternative endings of course). The graphics are great, and the combo system is easy to master but very big, with about 60 combos per character. Unfortunantly, this is where DBZ: Budokai runs into its first problem. You only have 7 "slots" or the amount of "space" you have left when customizing your character. Far too many combos/skills take up more than 1 slot making what you can use very limited. Also, in order to use a certain combo or skill another skill or combo must be present. This is pretty much a game only for the fans, as it relies on the show's plot more than it does itself.

I have beaten this game and it is my favorate game.My favorate chaecter is Vegeta but you have to unlock him.I also like Trunks but you don't get to use his sword.My favorate attack with Vegeta is the big bang attack it is a blast.There is a story mode so you are going to vs. Raditz and Cell. The final battle is the hardest level.You are Gohan but you are a super saiyan 2 and that is all I'm going to tell you.

First and foremost, this game kicks butt. However, it is also one of the most annoying games I have ever played, myself being a hardcore DragonballZ fan. In this game, the story mode and duel mode are quit fun. However, in the tournament mode I found myself losing when I should have won. For one thing, your opponent will tend to knock you out of the ring even when you are blocking. Also, the big strong guys have the exact speed as a swift fast fighter. thus pulling off fast strong combos all the time. So, I found myself listening to the announcer saying,"Contestent Loses!" in a happy voice over and over again. The story line is quit complete and is worth the effort. Also, the graphics are great. However, I think only a hardcore DBZ fan like myself would enjoy this (although I still was very annoyed in tournament mode). I just hope Funimation and Infogrames will try to make a better DBZ game some other time.

This game is Awsome way better than the big upset DRAGON BALL Z ULTIMATE BATTLE 22, and Much Better than DRAGON BALL GT FINAL BOUT. This game is great it even has Super Sayian 4 to unlock Super Sayian 4 beat the Advance World Tournament with everyone and Beat the whole story mode, after that Play as Goku and right before the battle press X SS4 Goku should apppear.

Okay i don't have a ps2 but i have been over to plenty of friends houses and i kick there butts(unless they use really strong specials). I have a subscription to gamepro and it is coming out for gamecube (woohoo).FOr you ps2 fans there is a dbz bodukai 2 coming out.

I've played this game for hours on end. It is fun and all unlike some other DBZ games. This has the complete saga from the beginnning to Cell saga. Only if it would have had the Buu saga. Mr. PoPo's shop is anoying. You Have to go in and out for hours before getting want you want. It has all the main people (goku, vegeta, gohan, his alter ego, and of course the bad guys). I hope the next game has Buu and SSJ3 goku. One thing that made me mad was that there was a rumor that you can go SSJ4 Goku if you beat advanced mode with all the people. It was not true. But i got alot of money out of it. :). This is a must have for all gamers, new or old. Controls took me about 3 days to learn. You can ever blow up Namek, and Earth, but not the tournment ring. :(, oh well. I give this game a 5 out of 5 if not better.

Alright. I know my games, so I know what games [stink] and what ones are to keep and play forever 'cause their so good! If you liked Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, you'll love Dragon Ball Z: Budokai! Trust me! Great graphics, all 3d, WAY BETTER than GT Final Bout and has the voices from the series in the game! Buy it now or regret it forever!
