The best DBZ game yet

When I got this game, I have to admit that I was more worried than excited. I mean, after the first few American DBZ games, who wouldn't be. Fortunally, I was pleasently surprised. The graphics of the game were superb, with only a few gliches, such as Raditz's hair. The combo's could of been a little easier and shorter, but hey, button-mashing is always fun. Story mode is great, following the series really well. Also, fans who hate the editing will be happy to hear that there is even some scenes with moving blood, but only a few. There are also a few "alternate" stories, in which through you play as the villian and it shows what could happen if they won. I'm sick of people complaining about it not going through the Buu saga. Sure, that would be great, but it's still good as it is. Look at the bright side, it makes Gohan and Cell(two of my favorite characters) the strongest ones in the game. All in all, I think that this is the best dragon Ball Z game yet, at least in America. But if it's just a 3-D fighter you want, and you're not a DBZ fan, you may want to look elsewhere.

Dragon Ball Z Budoki is a very nice Game,with its 3D characters special moves and 5 diffirent fighting modes.unfortunetly I really dont have this game,I've only heard this information on t.v.Millions of people watch the show Dragon Ball z,and making a video game out of it was a spectacular idea!Theres only one problem not everybody has a playstation2,so with all do respect maybe you should consider making it for other systemes.other than that the graphics are great,the sound is quality and this game is best seller material!

This is the ultimate dragonballz game out there! It has 5 different fighting modes so you can tear other fighters apart!
You can customize your fighter to be the ultimate Z warrior in the world using the skills system. There are 23 playable characters( I have them all), from the saiyan saga(Raditz) to the cell games, and you have the Legendary of Hercules mode which lets you recreate the part about Hercules beating Cell instead of Gohan.(It's pretty funny!). You can use the spirit bomb, Big Bang attack, super kamehameha, and destructo disk. The only 2 flaws are that the moves are the same for every player (except their special moves like Goku's Warp Kamehameha) and there is no Buu saga.(MAAN!)There is also the incredibly cool burst mode. I'm tellin' ya man, this game is off da hook son! Even if ya don;t like DBZ, it's still an awesome fighting game! Move over Tekken!!!

althougt this game is dbz it is not all its cut out to be firt the story mode is really short i beat the game in 4 hours but overall it is a really fun game and when you do beat the game you can also costomize any dbz fighter to be ultimate dbz warrior so if you are a dbz fan like me i would suggiest you buy this game right away if you are a new comer rent it first before you buy this game.

This was a preety good game, But it should be better.I mean the graphics rocked.Dragon ball gt was the first american dbz game.It even had majin buu.This one should of had more characters.This one should of been up to the buu saga.I thought it was boring.Not very challenging.I beat it in 1 hour.I like if ss3 goku was in there.The tranformation was bad.It wasnt the one on tv.It was to fast.In story mode you cant even fight as trunks.This game wasnt as good as dragon ball z ultimate battle 22.

If you haven't played this game, play it. Buy it. You should. This game will blow your mind away. It has 23 awsome charachters(not telling you who), unique transformations, such as supers saiyan and super saiyan 2, and magnificent death blows, like kamehameha and big bang attack. Take it from me, play it. you'll love it.

this game is the best i ever played. but the bad thing was that you get mad when your opponnet blocks and the other bad thing was that when you want to do special moves you have to press bottons in order and you get mad because its hard because your opponent keeps blocking and its hard to attack him. this are my ratings

THE GOOD:
Great news for the millions of DBZ fans finaly a good DBZ fighting game. With a stunning aray of characters DBZ Budokai far surpasses its predecessors. From Raditz to Cell each character has there own special flare which keeps the game fun. Not to mention the ability to customize every character's skills allows you to add your own personal touch to your favorite character. But as if that wasn't enough the battle system although alittle strange at first is so fast pace, and well designed I would say that this would be one of the best designed battle types ever created for a fighting game.
THE BAD:
The major problem I saw with this game was the way they made earning custom skills and dragonballs completly random. Theres nothing more annoying than listening to mister popo greeting you and saying good by 10000 in an hour just because you can't find that last dragonball, or that skill capsul you need to make your fighter perfect. Lastly I did praise the battle type but I beleive it would have been a bit better if you could exicute some specials by doing a more convensional move like quater back circle or something.
SUMMARY:
Well I'm a big Dragon Ball Z fan and that probably made my thinking a bit biased, and I'm sure if instead of Dragon Ball Z characters they had original characters I wouldn't have even given this game a glance. But just because they have DBZ characters is a good enough reason to make me want to buy this game so show you saiyan fighting spirit and have fun!
