This is the funnest game in the world!I've never liked pokemon intil I got this game.It teaches you about how it feels to be a pokemon trainer.It is fun and exiting at the same time.Nintendo made the pokemon look real and added cool graphics.This game is maybe the best game in this universe.I like this game and I hope you like it to!

This is one of the hardest games on gameboy. It is very fun. If you want a challenge get this game. It will take you a while to beat it.

No matter what you think about Pokemon, I think you should get this game. it is a nice adventure/action/rpg game. Fun for all ages, nice game to play when you are going on trips. Challenging and satisfying game. If you beat the game, the 'other' adventure is just beging to capture all the pokemons out there.

I liked this game but i have to say, I liked Crystal and Silver better. This is a very good game, you would think it was the same but it really wasn't.

Pokemon Gold- One of the best games you can get!

I got my Pokemon Gold about two years ago, and I've almost finished the game. The final opponent (Ash, Red) is tough! I've lost to him twice! However, I've been in training for about a month now, so I think I'm ready to face him again. Here's a tip for starters and experts: Practice alot and DO NOT try and avoid battles unless your Pokemon are not in good enough shape. I did that in the beginning. Because of that, I was having a tough time beating Bugsy, and I had a Cyndaquil, the fire Pokemon, and a Pidgey! I restarted, and the next time, I beat Bugsy in about two minutes! I only had a little bit of trouble with his Scyther. So do not avoid that many trainers. I highly recommend this game.

This game while it is fun when get it after you beat it it is not as much fun. The new features such as the day and night, the new pokeballs and the new types of pokemon the dark and the steel are a good but it could still be better. I think you should be able to fight with people who have the red,blue and yellow versions it just isn't as much fun just being able to fight have aganist people who have the gold, silver and crystall versions.It is also a pain when you trade pokemon I mean pokemon like pikachu who knows a move like zapcanon can not be traded with people who have pokemon blue red and yellow it gets to be a pain having to get my pokemon that I can trade to the blue red and yellow you have to go to blackthron city and talk to te move deleter to remove the move before you can trade it. Other than that this game is ok but if you have a game boy advance I would what untill pokemon advance comes to the United States.

This is an awesome game! First of all, I love Pokemon. I'm not one of those people who quit it because some other people have. It shouldn't have turnd into a fad but still pokemon is the best. This game is certainly way better than the other pokemon volumes. The gameplay is the same but there are new surroundings and pokemon. The games strait to the point battle sytem is what made this series so addictive. There is just so much to do in this game! Soo many pokemon to catch! Great multiplayer. Also try Silver, crystal Red and blue versions of the game. BRING ON RUBY/ Sapphire!

When I first heard of the Pokemon fad I turned my head away, and laughed. I thought, "What type of game is based around catching little animals in red and white balls?"

But then my girlfriend forced me to watch an episode of the cartoon...

And then I watched her play the game (RED & BLUE)...

And then I played YELLOW, and was hooked. So, when GOLD & SILVER (and now CRYSTAL) arrived I bought them, and, for the last few days, I've been playing through GOLD. It has me hooked much like the very first ZELDA game for the old school Nintendo, though, I suppose this is more family-friendly. (i.e. no killing, etc.).

Buy it for your kids, but play it when they're not looking. Good, clean fun.

Pokemon Gold is an awesome game in the beginning, and it continues to be awesome... You can explore 2 different worlds, and it has 100 more new Pokemon for you to catch and raise. However, Gold and Silver aren't like Red and Blue... Red and Blue are EXACTLY THE SAME!!!!!!! But Gold and Silver aren't exactly the same. For example, in Gold, you catch Lugia at Level 70 and Ho-Oh at Level 40, and in Silver, you catch Lugia at Level 40 and Ho-Oh at Level 70. If I were you, I would get this game. I've had it for almost one year, and I'm still not tired of it!

this is a good game i bought it in a shop and now a 2 weeks later i am almost done. dont get the idea that it is eas its not i just have played ith before it has many nice features like. certin events happen at a certin time. new pokemon, new gyms. NEW WORLD!!!
