If you loved the orginal versons of pokemon (red, blue, yellow) perepare to be blown away. The creators have put togther all news gyms (incling gyms in bug, normal, flying and ghost),new characters (hiroki and his rival),new pokemon (Lugia, houou, totodile, cydaquill and more),new towns and even new trainers to be (including a father and son tema dressed as pikachus ^^). Team rocket and some other famillars faces are still in this game..and if you miss the old red and blue..dont fear..you cin access them in gold/silver (once you beat all the gyms). if you love the pokemon games..or simply love to play a good game..this is a great game for you!

This Game is better than Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow

This game is better than all the other Pokemon adventure games! The enhanced graphics and yes, all the original pokemon are in it. There are even new options the the game! Like PokeGear, your cell phone, Togepi, and much more! There's still more when you finish beating up this group that looks like the elite 4 cause you can still go to the old world. Remember, you are NOT Ash, everybody in the New Pokemon Games (Pokemon Gold, Silver) says how bad Ash beat them up. In this game, you get more Pokemon and it's even harder than the old games!New challenges, new Pokemon, even new ladders in the caves! There's even new HM's!In the begginning of the game, you can even get a Togepi! Buy this game! It is worth the money(wait til this game is translated if you wanna buy this game)

Beautiful, Fun, Addictive

This game is awesome. The storyline once agian features a cap-wearing hero, but this time his rival is not just annoying, this new guy is outright EVIL! A few of the Pokemon are not even worth getting except to finish the Pokedoex (Igglybuff, Magby, etc.), and I have to complain about the evolution stones. Not only does it take FOREVER to get them (not literally, but you have to beat the game to get any of them, save the Moonstone which you can find one of and the hard-to-get Sun Stone), but there are only one of each, with the sole exceptions of the Moon and Sun stones. Also, some Pokemon, like Togetik, Espeon, and Umbreon require making the Pokemon happy ot get it to evolve, and this is an EXTREMELY long process (and in the case of Togetik, not worth it). But still, the game is fun. Here are a couple of my tips:

- When you get the egg after beating the first gym leader, don't bother hatching it. It's Togepi a worthless Pokemon who evolves into the equally worthless Togetik.

- In the Bug Catching COntest, Level is more important than species.

- In Rocket Base under Goldenrod City, there are three levers you should pull in a certain order. The order is 3, 2, 1, though you should do others to get all the items.

- The Elite Four specialize in Psychic, Poison, Fighting, and Dark types, and are led by Lance whose team, although diversse, is easily Ko'd by strong Ice and Rock attacks. Also, your whole team should be at least Level 50 to have any chance of winning.

Well, have fun! Catch'em all (except Togepi)!

Awesome!

This new game is WAY better that Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow. Now, things in the game are real-time, because of the built in clock. After 6PM it gets darker. Another example of this feature is that some things will only happen on certain days. There is a safari zone kind of area in Pokemon Gold and Silver that holds tournaments on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday only. There are also 100+ new Pokemon in the game. I have played it practically every spare second I've had since I got the game. Also, you are not just exploring the same world as in Red and Blue over again. In Gold and Silver, there is a whole new map which means all new adventures. Also, you can even travel back to the old world to try and beat Ash Ketchum, as well as the eight old gym leaders. I haven't been able to get there yet, but I've heard that the old world also has things to do that it didn't have in Red, Blue, and Yellow. Pokemon Gold and Silver also now have full color graphics that take advantage of Game Boy Color technology. The game will still work if you have an original Game Boy or a Game Boy Pocket, though. You can also add the Pokemon Pikachu 2, a Tomagatchi-like pet that can communicate with the Game Boy Color. You can get special items by transfering watts from the Pokemon Pikachu 2 to the Pokemon Gold and Silver games. This game is a must-have addition to any game library.

Even though this is a bit like the other versions of pokemon, gold and silver versions have more pokemon, more badges, and you can even fight Ash Ketchum! I have already beat this game and its way better than the other versions of pokemon. You can get a radio and telephone in these versions.

Best Pokemon Game evr!!

Now when i first got this game I didn't think it was gonna be much different from Red or Yellow Versions. But after a couple hours, I was almost in love with the game. If your a person that wants a pokemon game for your game boy this is definitly the right one. It has cool graphics. Great storyline. And won't be one of those games that takes like 1 day to finish. I have played pretty much all pokemon games like yellow, red, gold, ruby, emerald, leaf green , ect. But this one is still my favorite.

If you've played Red/Blue/Yellow Version(s), prepare to get hooked on this knew Pokémon game! Created by the masters at Creatures, Game Freak, And Nintendo, And of course, creator of all of the new (and old) Pocket Monsters, Mr. Ishaharah. I haven't played the game myself, but I have seen plenty of walkthru's of the game to know it is awesome. You should get a Gameboy Color though, because I think this game is formatted for it only(I truly don't know). This Game has Plenty of Evolutions/Prevolutions of the Pokémon in Red/Blue/Yellow Version(s), Evolutions, Such as SlowPOKE evolves into Slowking, and Prevolutions, Such as Electabuzz evolves from Elekid. If you have it, I envy you, and if you are going to get it, I congratulate you.

Well, even if you didn't think the Red, Blue or Yellow versions were that good(Or if you don't really like Pokemon that much) Get the Gold and Silver versions anyway. There are 100 (251 Total) new pokemon (including new evolutions of old Pokemon like Scizor, the evolved form of Scyther), New and improved pictures of the original Pokemon, better graphics, new options, attacks, HMs and TMs, a new rival, 8 more badges (16 total), and a whole new adventure. On a scale of one to ten I'd rate the Gold and Silver versions a 1,000.

Get ready for a whole new Pokemon Experience!

Excellent
