at first, i was really disappointed with pokemon gold because it seemed to look like pokemon crysta. however, after playing it for a while, i realized it is a different variation. i was so happy that the battle tower is not in this!

this is a cool game i am going to buy it i am a fan of RPG's and i can't stand the hype that pokemon has created it is the most ridiculose thing i have ever seen pokemon the movie,pokemonthe tvsho,pokemon the computer. i think the game was fun and challenging and i had a good time and i sometimes experiment with trying to get the best popssible pokemon but give me a break people it is not that amazing the movie was ridiculouse and the card game could use some major shaping up in. so all ion all i am waiting to play because it's fun yah! but i am not drooling to get it so all you people who think pokemon is so amazingly amazing that the world would come down in fiery and dark apocolypse need to wake up and smell the snorlax

Pokemon gold rules. There are over 100 new pokemon. Some new features are the breeding system, real time cloke digice, 100 new pokemon, 7 new bages and new gum leaders and you get to fight ash at the end. SOO GRAB YOUR COPY OF POKEMON GOLD TODAY.

When you first start the game it's quite intresting. but as it turns out its at least better then pokemon yellow

I am a 13 year old girl and I loved this game when I was little. I played it all the time and was totally obsessed. The game-play and graphics were an improvement from Red, Blue, and Yellow. The new Johto Pokemon were cute (and still are!) and there is barely any bad things about this game at all. I played this game until I had 3 level 100 Pokemon and I had almost filled my Pokedex. It can last you for hours on end without even getting bored of it! There is only a couple problems with this game. I didn't do anything to my Gold version at all (such as using the Game Shark or looking for Missing No.) but once when I turned on my game, it said "Save File Corrupted" and my whole game was gone and all my Pokemon were gone and everything! I still haven't quite figured out why this happened, but I was upset because I loved that game a lot. I didn't want to bother starting over because I'd never get as far as before and I had some new Pokemon games I could play, but I will never forget how fun this game was. Another problem was that you couldn't be a girl in it, but that's okay.

Even though this is an older game, I still reccommend it to anyone!

New Pokemon New Attacks New Quests New EVERYTHING!

This game is so much better than Red, Blue, and Yellow. This game has many more pokemon, more moves, and more tasks you have to accomplish. There is now 250 pokemon! You have to complete two worlds and have to get all 16 badges. You start off in a world called Johoto which is the new world. After a while of doing all of the tasks in the world, you can go to Kanto, the old wold. There are many more evolutions from the pokemon too. There is now a Steelix evovled from an Onix when you trade it with a metal coat attached to it. There is also new pokemon that you start out with. They are:

1. Cyndiquill

2. Toditle

3. Chickorita

I've heard that Cyndiquill is the strongest one of them all. But I started out with a Chcikorita and he's doing very well. There is also something new about this game, When you attack, it looks different than the Blue, Red, and Yellow versions. Another thing that is new is that the trainers are alot harder when you get to a point of the game. Also, your rival is SUPER hard. Make sure you train your pokemon really good before you encounter him. When you go back to Kanto, the gym leaders are A LOT harder. I think Gary, your other rival from Red, Blue, and Yellow, is in one of the gyms. I have heard that he is very hard. Also there are two new types of pokemon, Dark and Steel. Steelix is an example of a steel pokemon [remember, he evolves from Onix]. Umbreon is an example of a dark type pokemon [he evolves from Evevee by friendly evolving. If you are traveling at night and evevee evolves, then you have Umbreon]! The only bad thing in this game is that you can't get a bicycle. That's about it for my review. One more thing, THIS IS WELL WORTH YOUR MONEY!

This is the best game ever because it has 100 new POKeMON. And you don't play Ash you fight him instead.You have 16 new badges and once you beat the Elite 5 you get an s.s Aqua ticket. Some useful tips:You can only catch Labres in his cave on saturday, you catch Gastly in the Tin Tower,Annon can be captured in the ruin and if you complete a puzzle and you get a special Annodex.At the start you can choose from HINOARASH,WANINOKO,CHICORITA. More info later when the game comes out in the uk. SEE YA!!!!!!!! THIS IS A MUST BUY!!!!!!!!!

This game will suck you on in! There are many new cities and towns, as well as the old poke'mon towns!! A new exciting adventure in every city! There are also tons of new powerful Poke'mon! There are many more poke'mon to catch, but to catch them all is still the goal. The game plays in real time! So when you're playing during the day, it's day on the game ! and the same time. Even if you're playing at night, it's night on the game!I recommend this game for those who are at least 7+ because of frustration, otherwise it's great!

Pokemon Gold is great, though Crystal is better, (and silver is actually worse). With 251 (not 250) Pokemon,It just gets better and better. Some bad things are leaders are weaker in Johto (In Kanto, Brock, Misty, Surge, etc. actually get stronger!)
PRO:More Pokemon, Items, Contests, Two worlds, better graphics
CON:No safari zone. Can't explore Silph Co.
