The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

I bought this game because it's melee fighting, but it is very disappointed.....You should rent it to try out before deciding to buy this game. Yes! I like the story of fantasies and mythical of movies..and in game too, but the game is trying to sell the story not gameplay. Heck! One thing about this game is it made me feel powerless, trapped, and weak....It's a game for crying out loud and it should be fun. The 3 characters are weak, the weapons are weak, the weapon and stat upgrade is cheasy, the maps are short and crampy. Here you have the cut scenes sugesting you will fight 100 of 1000 orcs but how you gonna fight them with a lil' punny sword and bow and the front lawn. They should never put real characters and cut scenes from the movies into games, like we'd not seen enough of them in movies and seeing them in games is boring because like cut & paste, another weak point is showing you how the game is made and the interview of the charaters of what they think of the game. Graphic in the game is not up to standard, the map look & feel like a little backyard......how is that for a battle field with thousands of troops and ememies huh??? The worse piont is this game is not fun to play and it has negaitve feel to it. Good thing I did trade it in while it still worth something. Oh yeah! Another thing is you have to remember to hit triangle X X Triangle, and other combinations to the special combos which I found wasting time to learn because they do not having effects fight too many enemies surrounding so it's useless. I don't think this game having any replay factor in it which a good game can be play over and over and feeling good playing it...game like Fifa 2003 or Danasty Warriors 3....ect. Even if I likee the movies so much I hate this game that much because I'm not playing the movies. Maybe this game is the best while there's nothing to play out there but this is the 21 century.....Did someone loose track of time? The music is awsome though because it is cut & paste directly from the movie.

It wasn't that good at all. Constantly the same fighting all the time. It doesn't even follow the Two Towers story line! it follows Fellowship of the Ring!

It would have been better if there was a two player mode, and a little more to it.

they did it right

played it at the san diego show. they did this conversion right. which is pretty rare for movie games. they do a great job getting you into the movie aspects with lot's of footage but then they get you into playing a great action game. gameplay is really strong and character attributes are interesting. particularly for The Two Towers which is the battle movie this game was right on because of the battles in the game. i'd recommend getting it.

This game was the worst let down. Listen, I know all of people seem to be praising it. But, I tell you, the controls are very very poor. The game design itself is horrible. Yes, the graphics look great, and yes those previews seem cool, but I promise you, it IS NOT WORTH IT. The combination attacks that you gain with levels can be more frustrating than useful. Secondly, the game provides NO guidance what so ever as to how to defeat many baords. Believe me, HORRIBLE GAME DESIGN. I played it for a while, then decided I would stick with it and beat the while thing, as I did. When doing so, you see a quick, and somewhat lame, part of the two towers movie. BIG DEAL once the movie comes out. I realize this sounds picky, but if you are a traditional gamer and a Lord of the Rings fanatic, as I am, this game will frustrate your gaming side. If all you want is story, buy the book. Or maybe just watch the Home Shopping Nework. It's far more entertaining.

After seeing the movie I expected this game to be great ,but it [is bad]. It was fun for about the first three levels but it gets really old really quick. The coolest moves , the bane moves, are way too hard to do, you have to jam on the block button and when the enemy is about to attack you have to press to more buttons really quick. The secret levels are all the same and they are extremely boring and you play as the secret character at the begging anyway. In short I suggest tha you not waste money on this game.

Looking for a good PS2 or X-Box game. "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" is it! You play as Aragorn the ranger, Legolas the Elf, or Gimli the dwarf. This game is loaded with action and adventure. You fight Orc, Uruk-hai, and goblins. Then you can fight the bosses of levels: Ringwraiths, Lurtz, the Watcher, Saruman, and even the Wargs from The Two Towers movie. There are scenes from the two movies, interviews with Viggo Mortensen, Orlando Bloom, and John Rhys-Davies. This is a must get adventure for all action lovers. Rated Teen for Violence and Blood.

This game is by far, one of the best games I have ever played. It is a great fighting game. The graphics are great, as well as the gameplay. It is extremely hard which makes it even more addicting. I haven't been able to put the game down since I bought it. It is a must have.

My ONLY complaint about this game, and I could be wrong as I only rented it, is that it appeared to be to short/to short of a path to the end of the game. It is still worth seeing for its jaw dropping combats and action. My only reservation about buying it is I am unsure about how much replayability it has.

Amazing graphics and sound!

This is a fun game with incredible graphics, movie clips, and voice acting. It's somewhat linear however (you can only move on the paths) instead of free-roaming. There are a lot of extra features included on the disc (cast interviews, production pictures, etc.) which adds to the entertainment value. This is currently the best Lord of the Rings game available. If you are getting this game, here is a code that will help you: Start a mission, then pause and hold down L1, L2, R1, and R2, and press Triangle, Down, X, Up in sequence. You will hear a sound if you have done it right, and your health meter will be completely refilled every time you do it.
