The only reason I gave this game more than one star is the graphics, which are pretty decent. However, the rest of the game is another story. First off it is amazingly short, it took me one day to beat it, (and I was only playing it when the movie I was watching was on commercial). It consists of 12 "levels" where the only objective is to kill orcs, you cannot adjust your camera angle (which leads to very awkward battling), and you have to memorise complicated "moves" (for instance one was XXO^^R2) to even have a chance in Helm's Deep, They do let you change characters, however Aaragon is the only useful one (I tried the other 2, but then you have to memorise even more ridiculous moves)
To sum it all up, it is basicly short clips of the movie, where they let you play in a few scenes. The total game-play is 10 hours MAX I beat it in 6..
I was truly disappointed in this game. However, it is worthy of renting for fans of the movie.
I LUV LOTR!

I am a Lord of the Rings enthusiast, Ive watched the movie 20 times (date today, 9/12. I luv legolas!) and the first time I saw it, I thought: this move would make a great game! well, from all the reviews, It's lived up to that. I for one will probably play as legolas, since he can fire arrows about two or three times a second, but with this game, you can't win by pushing the same buttons repeatedly. You need to do combos of hits and different combinations, or the enemy will catch on to what you're doing. Also, don't think that the troll in Balin's toom is the only one in the game. They can pop up anywhere. I mean ANYWHERE. The game developers said that themselves. Just don't turn your back on the screen, and you'll be fine. :D
A great Game

Excellent game. Lots of action and great controls. If you loved like the movies, you'll love the game. Great Fighting game if your not a fan the series. No fighting game has the same style that I know of.
good fun, about as long as the movie

This game is realy awsome and has a dynasty warriors type feel to it without chineese names. It realy puts you right into the action with Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli. Ihas TONS of features to try and make the gameplay longer but it didnt work. This game was fun until I beet it after a few days and there is no free mode so you can just go and kill orcs.

Finally, a good game to go along with the "Lord of the Rings" movies. In this game, you can be Gimli, Legolas, or Aragorn, and you fight your way through various scenes from the first two movies. Each character has his own unique fighting style, and each can earn experience and upgrades as you progress.
The graphics in this game are absolutely beautiful. The fighting is very realistic, and the characters are surprisingly detailed--no stiff-moving polygons here. There are many short clips from the movies. Overall, the appearance is very nice.
The gameplay is also great. Yes, 95% of this game is just punching the buttons and killing stuff. But it's fun. And there are many different combos your characters can learn which are actually kind of difficult to execute. You are rated with each kill based on your style and use of parries, thrusts, blocks, and combinations. It's easy to kill stuff, but very hard to do it elegantly and get the perfect score.
The downside to this game is that it's very short--you can beat it in one night. Still, though, even once you've passed the game you can go back with different characters and, when that's done, you can always try to improve your rating on each level. I've been through the game many times, and still I'm entertained.
If you've been looking for the perfect beat-'em-up fighting game, look no further. And, if you're a LOTR fan (like me) you won't be disappointed. Get this game. It's worth it.

Well after returning the FellowShip of the Ring (Not that it was a bad game, I reccomd it for the youngings) The two towers has somw real meat on it. Not only do you get to play the more intresting scenes in LOTR, but you get the play the Prologe as the King trying to fight Saurman. How sweet is that? Two Towers tries to act like a action/rpg. After you complete a level of hacking and slashing orcs and ringwraiths, you get to increase your characters level, and buy new combo attacks and weapons. In this game you get to play three of the nine fellowship. Aragron, Glimi and Leagios. It's a lot better than Fellowship for PS2 and XBOX where Frodo and Sam Heard pigs and go on other stupid fetch quests before you get to play as the Gandalf The Gray. Fellowship does make sense for little ones who might enjoy and get into the LOTR Series (Kids between 8-11). As for the older ones and you Die hard fans out there I say buy Two Towers. And as a extra bonus you get to watch actual scenes from the upcomming movie. It doesn't get better than that.

this game is top marks. there is really only 1 flaw i see. that would be that it is to short.you go thourgh 13 lvls hacking and slashing at really alomst anything. great for LOTR fans or those people who just like sword play.THIS IS 1 OF THE BEST GAMES I HAVE EVER PLAYED!IT IS A LITTLE EDUCATOINAL BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO READ SOME WORDS AND YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER THE COMBOS.

this game is awsome except for one thing, the enemy. they are really stupid. they aren't agressive and they don't attack all at once, it is one by one. other wise, its awsome. there are coll moves and you can purchase new moves and weapons.
This game totally ROCKS!!!

This game rocks! I was little skeptical at first, but when I played it, it was awesome. The graphics are excellent. I definitely recommend it for any gamer. Not just LOTR fans.
