The Best War Simulation Ever

Operation Flashpoint is by far the best war game simulation I've ever played. The demo version contains enough flexibility to ensure total control of character performance, and the game play is so realistic that I had to order the playable version as I anticipate the on-line challenge and the option of using the mission editor.

OFP is best described by showing the audience what are some of the missions like:
1. There's the standard you-and-a-bunch-of-army storming into a village and capping the Russians
2. In one mission, you are suppose place mines on the road, hide and destroy the incoming Russians tanks.
3. In another mission, you have to ensure the civilian is safe by driving a truck to safety.
4. You disguised as a farmer and pass through roadblocks
5. Scaling the hills to reach a guerillas' hideout way up on the peak of the mountain, while avoiding bullets at the same time
6. Piloting a helicopter to take out ground tanks/trucks
7. Be a machine gunner and take out Russians coming onshore from the beach ala the popular Omaha beach scenarios
8. LOTS and LOTS more.

I only have the demo but it rocks! am hopeing to get the game you should realy try the demo and go on from there.

a non stop action game

If you like action games and war movies this is for you. So realistic drive anything fly anything shoot anything go anywhere!
large map so you can run or walk forever , command your own squad and tell them what to do and who to kill. Hide in bushes and wait for the enemy to just walk by without even seeing you and shoot em in the head when there not looking.

I have bought this game in Germany just a couple of days ago and since then I couldn't even sleep. It is like a good book you just want to read it on and on and on. I love this game!!!!

Ok get this game if you want an online gaming experience. It is the best, you can keep your unreal tournament, q3 and half life (all great games and games ive spent hours/weeks/months playing). This game rules!

If you liked deathmatch games then operation flashpoint might not be for you, if you liked team games then get this now.

As a single player game it beats hidden and dangerous, delta force 3 and igi hands down.

The real fun starts when you play online though. You cant run around shooting everything that moves, you have to work as team.

This is without a doubt the strongest online team game ever to grace the pc. Work together and you can win, wander around by yourself trying to pick off anything that moves and you dont stand a chance.

Pure awesome!

This game is awesome it combines the terrain of the Delta Force Series and the realisticness of Rogue Spear. All the keys are simple to memorize and the fighting is tough. It is really cool because you can tell your soilders to hide in bushes and the AI are very skillfull. Also when tanks and soilders shoot at night you can actually see flashes of lights. Operation Flashpoint is a fun and challenging game. I recomend this is everyone!

I'm not much of a game person. BUT, I downloaded this demo,and I was HOOKED!! You have complete freedom in this game, to move where ever you want, and can even take weapons from dead soldiers, enemy or friend. Can't wait till it comes out. I'm preordering this game NOW!!

Serving in the Canadian Army

This game is as real as it gets. Although is U.S. army and I don't know very much about it. I can be a U.S. soldier in this game and learn about the U.S. army. This is the best combat sim ever. 6 stars out of 5. A gotta get!

Operation Flashpoint is excellent, combining speed, flexibility and heart pumping action. I was enthralled the first time I played the demo. Possibly beeter than Half Life!
