Fun for the whole family!

I bought this game for my children, 17 and 12. We as a family have played and played this game. There are several different games to choose from. My personal favorite is Duckhunt. All of the games are fun, and would appeal to all age ranges. We love our Wii!

it's a wiimote, with a decent $10 game

So it's about the same as you'd pay for another wiimote, but you get a set of games with it. not the best, or most interesting games, but there's fun to be had. I like tanks (like everyone else on the planet), the pong varient (lazer puck or something similar), and the shooting gallery. the pick out the matching mii's, and the rotate the mii games are kind of dumb. the ping pong is very hard to play. but hey, it's basically a free game with a 2nd controller so i wasn't expecting twighlight princess here.

Come for the remote - stay for the cow races

Totally worth it if you're planning on buying a second Wiimote, which comes with this set. They're described as 'skill builders' to get you better geared up for the motions and actions in Wii games, but a lot of them stand up well on their own (short as they may be - wouldn't mind seeing them developed more and with opportunities to play longer). Ping Pong is excellent, as is the target shooting game. The cow races and tank battles were suprising and real crowd pleasers. Air hockey was a bit of a letdown, billiards (9-ball) and fishing were on the slow side and the mii-centric games didn't really grab me - but the hits far outweigh the misses.

It's a fantastic value bundled with a Wiimote. Highly recommend for new wii owners.

Amazing

I'm so happy I asked for the Wii for my birthday. I have never played any of these kinds of games before. The games are just so much fun to play.
I still can't believe how they can do all that they do. So far have the Sport games which came with console and now the Play games. I can't wait until they come out with another. If I had to have any complaints, batteries can run out kind of fast, and only two people can play some of the games.

Great deal

A must have for a new Wii owner... It adds to the fun of having multiple players duke it out using the Wii, and it comes with an extra Wii Remote - who couldn't use another? Great deal, pretty fun games, fishing rules.

Wii Play: just okay

I'm a huge Wii fan, but the Wii Play isn't as good as I expected. Wii Sports is actually better, but it's nice to have something different.

Not much fun

If you need an extra remote you might as well pay an extra 10 for this package. Billiards is the only game on this disk that I have had the desire to play more than once. You will probably only get about an hour of playtime out of this unless you are under 13 or are playing with another person.

Not bad considering...

I'll be honest. I already had a second controller. I only really bought this for the shooting game, which is pretty much a 3 minute revision of the original Duck Hunt. After playing all the games, the shooting one is still my favorite. The last level is the best.

I also loved the Tank game. If you ever played "Combat" on the Atari, you'll appreciate this one too.

The other games are kind of weak. The Pool game is nothing more than a 3D version of Yahoo! Pool. The cow race is hilarious, but I imagine it's going to get old quick. Table tennis is nothing special... it's like Pong on steroids. There's a air hockey game called "Laser Hockey" or something. The Mii Match and Pose are okay for starters, but if you're not new to the system, you'll find it very annoying. Fishing was also really dumb... even for beginners.

The tank and duck huntesqe games make it worth while with the controller though. If you're buying the system for a parent or someone who hasn't played since the glory days of Nintendo, this is a great game to give with it.

Worth the remote - but this isnt sports - but great for kids

I agree with everything said before. Wii Play is not nearly as engaging as Wii Sports, but it's a fun addition for the family. If you have young kids its a great title. The Wii has been an excellent addition to our family activities. As far as this title, the Cow Jumping and Find Mii have been huge hits for the 5 year old. If you are looking for adult play, Sports is much much better. But for the kids, Wii Play is well worth it.

Simple Fun!

Having played this game for a while, I have to conclude that it's a fun game that's simple and entertaining. Not all the minigames may cater to one's taste but there are a few which are quite fun to play. My favorites are the tank battle, pool/billiard, "duck-hunt" shooter and the fishing game.
I like to view this as a $10 game instead of a $50 game with a free remote.
