EXTREME FUN FOR THE CASUAL GAMER

OK, so I am a casual gamer. That is OK. If you like games that are extremely fun for short bursts, like the original wii sports, you'll like this game. It is great. Most of the games are shallow, and suprisingly the tank-like game is one of the best of the bunch. But what is not to love about a decent representation of target shooting, pool, and ping pong. Come on, how deep do these need to be? Listen, my wife has gamed more in the last few weeks with the wii than she has in the last 6 years without it. That says something. Halo three this isn't. A fun game that is approachable by all of your non-gamer friends for an hour of absolute joy, this is.

Real Fun!!!

I am a Wii owner and the Wii comes with Wii Sports the game which includes motion activated Tennis, Baseball, Boxing, Golf, Bowling and Fitness Tests. Anyway, Wii Play (Not Yet Released) is like a part two of Wii Sports. So if you enjoyed Wii Sports you might want this. Another advantage is that you get a free bonus controller so you can play two player in all your multiplayer games!!! But rather pricy!!!

A good deal

My husband and I bought the Wii Play this evening from Wal-Mart (btw, they had plenty). Overall the nine mini-games are fun, except for ping-pong. It is a failure. Since you do not have a split screen, it is basically impossible to engage in a game similar to tennis (from the wii sports). However, we enjoyed the laser hockey, tanks and pool, so for the price and for the extra remote, this package is worth buying.

It's a Wii remote with a pack-in game!

Think of it that way. For a $10 premium, you're getting a still-hard-to-find Wii remote, with a collection of games thrown in. Not too shabby. And if only two or three of the games are any good, I'd say it's worth the extra $10.

Lame game, nice remote!

Wii Play is too little too late from Nintendo. This game needed to be released at launch. With games like Wario Ware: Smooth Moves and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (both of which take great advantage of the Wii Remote), this game comes off as too simple and just not as innovative as Nintendo boasts.

Like it's cousin, Wii Sports, Wii Play is nothing more than a small demo of the Wiii's capability. Shooting Range is an ok game with an amusing allusion to Duck Hunt (kinda wish it WAS an updated Duck Hunt), but it's too short. Billiards is way too clumsy and tedious. The ping-pong game is just horrendous! Stick with Wii Sports: Tennis. Pose Mii is completely ridiculous. The only good games are Laser Hockey and Tanks. Those are the only two I can see myself playing over and over. Also, the graphics on this game aren't bad.

The only saving grace of this package is the bundled Wii Remote. Since they're still hard to find, it's comforting to know that at least you get a game. I have to remind myself that I'm really paying $10 and not $50 for Wii Play.

Fun game!

I picked this up at Target today cause of the free Wiimote, but actually this game is a lot more than just that free Wiimote. This is a great game with more people because competition over silly mini games is really fun! I'm inviting my friends over again to play this.

Not a bad deal at all...

If you remove the $40 remote from the price, the game is only $10. With that said, the game is entertaining for at least several hours, so $10 is really not all that bad. The games are simplistic and stupid for the most part, but there are a couple that can become addicting (Pool and the Air Hockey-type game).

Not Worth It!

Even with the free remote, this game is not worth the money. They really failed on this one. The ping pong (which I was looking forward to) isn't even a game, it's just volleying back and forth until you miss. The one or two ping pong shots you have to make on Smooth Moves is more challenging and fun. The fishing game, and horse game (whatever it is) are extremely lame. The shooting game could be fun, but it only has a certain number of levels, and then you're done.....boring. There are a couple of other games that are alright, but really nothing to jump up and down about. If you're interested in a game of pool or laser hockey, than buy it, but it's certainly not worth the pricetag!!!!

Overall Good

This really is worth the buy. The included wii remote was a great idea by the company to market for this game, otherwise no one would buy it. As for the game itself, there are nine mini games to choose from. And when they say mini they mean it, they are very short, far less to do then in wii sports. There will be some people who have different tastes as far as the actual games. I think the laser hockey is the best in the game, and there are a few others that are worth playing.

For all those who like being lazy with video games like me, this is definitely the right set of games. All the games can be played sitting down.

This game is worth buying, even if it's just to mess around with every so often.

What a complete waste of money!!!

Ok, I was probably just as excited about this game as everyone else. I was expecting this to be just as cool as Wii Sports. I pre-ordered this item and got it yesterday evening. I put it in and could not believe how bad this game was. You have to unlock the games one by one so you have to play a cheesy bad game just to get to another cheesy bad game. The only game remotely fun on it is the 9-ball pool. Everything else was really bad. If it wasn't for the Wiimote and the 9-ball pool this game would be returned. In my opinion, save your money! Wii Play = Wii Nay
