Fun game!

I picked this up at Target today cause of the free Wiimote, but actually this game is a lot more than just that free Wiimote. This is a great game with more people because competition over silly mini games is really fun! I'm inviting my friends over again to play this.

Good way to get another Wiimote.

Wii Play the game is just a vehicle to sell a Wiimote at an extra $10. It is somewhat entertaining for a few minutes, but not a whole lot more. Is it worth the extra $10 bucks, probably.

Wii Remote makes it worth it...but not the game...

If you are like me, you probably bought a Nintendo Wii and received Wii Sports with it. Now, Wii Sports is a lot of fun and is one of those games that you leave in the Wii to play with all of your friends when they come over. Now, like me, you may be thinking that Wii Play has got to be similar right? Nope. Oh, its similar as far as it comes with some mini-games that teach you how to use the remote, but they are no where near as enjoyable or as long as those included with Wii Sports. Not only that, but you have to play the games on Wii Play in order from start to finish if you want to unlock them all...you can just hop in and play any of them when you first launch it...which was slightly irritating. Another thought to keep in mind when purchasing this is that the mini-ping pong game is nothing like the Tennis game included with Wii Sports. You have to wave the wii remote back and forth like a static object instead of actually getting to put a backhand swing on it...its really a step down for someone who started playing Wii Sports. Are these games fun for little children? Possibly, but even they will probably get bored very quickly.

I give the game a 2 star rating because it really is just a compilation of miniature, demo-style games. I give it an overall 4 star rating because I feel that the included remote justifies the price.

Extra Remote + 9 games

As many people have said, buying this is basically for the extra remote. Many people have said that the titles aren't fun, and I agree. However, young children absoloutley love these games, such as my 4 year old and 7 year old. The wii remote itself is $40, so the games are only 10 dollars extra. If you have children then I would definetly recommend this. If not, then these 9 games are not worth your 10 bucks.

Overall Good

This really is worth the buy. The included wii remote was a great idea by the company to market for this game, otherwise no one would buy it. As for the game itself, there are nine mini games to choose from. And when they say mini they mean it, they are very short, far less to do then in wii sports. There will be some people who have different tastes as far as the actual games. I think the laser hockey is the best in the game, and there are a few others that are worth playing.

For all those who like being lazy with video games like me, this is definitely the right set of games. All the games can be played sitting down.

This game is worth buying, even if it's just to mess around with every so often.

Rated E for Everyone...

We wanted the extra remote and it just made sense to pick up some extra games at the same time. So, for a few extra dollars we purchased the WII Play pack.

The whole family can find something in this pack!

My personal favorite was the target style shooter and my daughter loved the tank game. The cow racing game was best suited for small children and does have a cuteness factor.

The "Match the MII" game is excellent for developing alertness and attention to detail, ok something I need to work on...LOL!

Overall this was a good buy when coupled with the WIImote!

Lots of fun, no 4 player games though

This game is tons of fun but it's too bad it didn't come with any 4 player games! We have 5 in our family and can easily rotate 1 out but with only 2 players the kids sometimes get bored waiting for their turn. The best reason to buy Wii Play though is for the value. Extra controler with a game... Every Wii owner should purchase this game.

Not impressed with this game

The game is good for little kids. I like the Wii in general it is good exercise on those days you can't get out. The best thing about this game is the remote. If you have young children this would be good for them.

What a complete waste of money!!!

Ok, I was probably just as excited about this game as everyone else. I was expecting this to be just as cool as Wii Sports. I pre-ordered this item and got it yesterday evening. I put it in and could not believe how bad this game was. You have to unlock the games one by one so you have to play a cheesy bad game just to get to another cheesy bad game. The only game remotely fun on it is the 9-ball pool. Everything else was really bad. If it wasn't for the Wiimote and the 9-ball pool this game would be returned. In my opinion, save your money! Wii Play = Wii Nay

good for multiplaying
