Bad Reviewers: Have you really played it?!

I don't really see what all the complaints are about... this game is a STEAL for the extra $10. If you're like me and don't need the extra remote, then buy it, keep the game, and sell the remote! We have entertained ourselves for hours trying to earn Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platnium medals in all the different categories. I love the pool game and can't wait for someone else to release a full version! The tank game is really really fun. Fishing is good. The "Where's Waldo" version of Find Mii is super fun especially with 1 or more people helping you! The shooting game is fast, but fun. The laser hockey is frustratingly fun! The bubble game hurts my wrist, but is also very fast-paced and exciting. Table Tennis is much better than some of the reviews have give it credit for... it's more challenging than it looks... I still haven't got 100 volleys! There's even a racing game... on cows! True, none of these games have the dept of Zelda, but they are fun and entertaining AND will help hone your Wiimote skills! It's definitely worth $30, if you can pick it up for that. If you need the remote, then you're in business since it's $40 by itself! If not, sell it and keep the game! Side Note for Online Wii Users: The New "Everybody Votes Channel" is now available for FREE download! It's a little cheezy, but should be pretty cool once it's up and running for a while! Wii enjoy it as well as Wii Play!

This is fun but not as much exersize as wii sports

This is way worth the money since it comes with a free remote. We have had fun playing these games but I really liked the sports as it gets my kids up and moving. These games are not as active and only 2 people can play so I always have one kid left out.

Lame game, nice remote!

Wii Play is too little too late from Nintendo. This game needed to be released at launch. With games like Wario Ware: Smooth Moves and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (both of which take great advantage of the Wii Remote), this game comes off as too simple and just not as innovative as Nintendo boasts.

Like it's cousin, Wii Sports, Wii Play is nothing more than a small demo of the Wiii's capability. Shooting Range is an ok game with an amusing allusion to Duck Hunt (kinda wish it WAS an updated Duck Hunt), but it's too short. Billiards is way too clumsy and tedious. The ping-pong game is just horrendous! Stick with Wii Sports: Tennis. Pose Mii is completely ridiculous. The only good games are Laser Hockey and Tanks. Those are the only two I can see myself playing over and over. Also, the graphics on this game aren't bad.

The only saving grace of this package is the bundled Wii Remote. Since they're still hard to find, it's comforting to know that at least you get a game. I have to remind myself that I'm really paying $10 and not $50 for Wii Play.

Not worth $10 excluding the remote

I had low expectations for this game, still I thought, it would be worth $10, since remotes are $40. Even then I was disappointed. The problem is the games generally fall below their potential. Ping pong--so you don't swing the paddle, it could feel like playing ping pong right? No, it doesn't, it's more an exercise of moving around a cursor very delicately to move your ping pong icon where the ball is. Same goes for the air hockey game--it doesn't feel like air hockey at all. Just moving around a cursor in the air. Another hugely missed opportunity.

Then there is an incredible lack of options for the games. Ping pong ends at 11 points. No "win by 2" option, no option to set the score. Same with all the other games. Pool should have different rule sets, instead we are stuck with a strange 9 ball ruleset. Had they simply made the shooting game could have Duck Hunt for four players, and eliminated all the other games, Wii Play would have been better.

The game is full of missed potential. It's like a shareware or demo version of the Wii, and not a good one at that.

A lot of bang for your buck!!!

The remote is a $40 value, so the game must be a $10 value. If you don't need the game, you can sell it for like $25-$30 on Ebay. Either way, you still get a lot of bang for your buck!

Another great Nintendo product.

I bought this game like most people because of the Wii Remote. What other reviewers have said is true, the mini-games are shallow, but nevertheless you can have a lot of fun for a while, specially with multi-player.

Right now I'm trying to get the gold medal on all games, which can take some time, and I'm enjoying it. I got to play with my wife a we had a lot of fun. The games we liked best were the tank game, the table tennis game and the laser hockey game. The pool game is also very nice. These mini games gives us a nice idea of how fun other bigger games developed with the same concept can be. Imagine the tanks game with a deep story line, different tank selection, 3D levels... well, you get the picture.

As a summary, get it for the Wii remote (normally $39.99) and get this great $10 mini-game collection that illustrates the possible uses of the Wii remote.

Disappointed

I looked so forward to it coming in the mail, and when I got it, I don't know I expected more, and better. The ping pong was very disappointing and I guess the tank game is OK. I have gotten the gold medals in most of the games in a day or two of playing. Overall, I was totally letdown.

The mini games are fun only once and will never be played again, but another controller make this package almost worth the price but not quite. Save ten dollars buy the controller seperate.

Waste of time

I would not recommend this game to anyone. If you have a Wii, then you most likely have Wii Sports. Thats all you really need for wii/mii fun. Only about 3 games in the bunch are playable in wii play, let alone fun, and the fun ones lose their luster within five minutes. You want a lot of shallow minigames done right? get warioware for the same price. The games are just as deep (but there are over 200 of them). With that game, you dont need the extra controller to play with friends. Its just that wii play games are so increadably shallow and quick that you will see all there is to offer in less then an hour. The only game that might keep your attention longer than that is tanks, but even that loses fun after an afternoon. The only reason this gets two stars is that it comes with a controller, but honestly, you are better off just buying a controller and passing on the game and saving your $10 for a movie or something that will keep your interest longer then 5 minutes. i know 10 dollars sounds like a little, but if someone comes up to you with a steaming pile of fresh, soft-serve dog droppings and says its only five dollars when the rest of the doo-doo he sells is $15, would you buy it just because it is a deal? Nobody needs this game, therefore nobody should buy it just because it is cheap.

At least I got a Wii Remote with this product...

Wii play is a set of nine mini games with a Wii Remote.

This set of nine games to me, seemed like all the games that didn't make Wii Sports and they shoved it on a CD and packaged it with a Wii Remote as a consolation prize for buying this game.

Most of the mini games in Wii Play are not fun, at least for me. I'm a college student. I think Wii play may be amusing for children under the ages of 13. I think this game could be fun at drinking parties for older people.

For me, the only good thing that came out of this was that I got a Wii Remote and I only paid 10 extra dollars for the nine mini games since the remote retails for $40 anyways.
