A good shooter overall....

I recently picked this up used for $4. I saw the screenshots for this game and thought it would be a good game to add to my shooter collection.I didn't quite know what to expect at first. But overall I was satisfied. It kinda reminds me of "Soldier Of Fortune" because of the graphics and the constant loading time between levels. I believe Red Faction was released the same year too. But I can't understand the "M" rating. A little blood spills out when you shoot somebody, BIG DEAL!!! This game is nowhere near the gore level like Soldier Of Fortune was. OH MY GOD, AN ENEMY SOLDIER HAS A PAPER CUT! LET'S RATE THIS GAME MATURE! (just kidding.) But I do have to admit that ESRB does a very good job when rating this stuff.If you set the difficulty level to EASY you can pretty much wizz on passed it pretty quickly.It not be the best shooter on the market, but it's pretty decent for the money. I might check out the sequel as well.

This is the best $20 game you can buy. Being able to destroy almost everything rocks. It has great graphics for its time and the music is awsome. The level design is really awsome. Multiplayer is really fun, but it is kinda chunky and not smooth. The stealth levels are too hard and the AI is too smart. If you pull a gun out in the stealth levels. All the gaurd come running at you. The underwater vehicals are hard to control. Dispite its problems, it is still the best game for $20.

rebellion on mars

This game overal is a good game with no flaws realy exept u might get stuck when the way is right under ur nose. The story line was pretty good, could of been beter but its ur basic rebelion exept its on mars. U can save anywhere u please which is good. But it felt as if something was missing, it just wasnt fun enough to give it a five. I played this game once and probaly will never play it again. If u played and love first person shooters u should get this game, if ur new to the gaming world this is still a good game to get,maybe its just that i just got done playing metalgearsolid 1 and 2 so it brings this game down.give it a try even though.

I didnt like this game all that much because i thought it was drawn out and the game wouldnt let you play. meaning it wasnt very realistic in the sence of human movement. but the rest was ok. some of my friends liked it so i think you should rent it first then if you like it buy the game.

Fun game but still a 1st-person shooter, they just loose value after you beat it the first time. Graphics and Voice actors did an alright job, storyline was good. The best feature of the game is the Geo-Mod technology which allows you to blow up damn near everything in the game includiong buiildings and the environment (fun fun fun). If you can play this multi player (on the PC or through a PS2 line, although I don't know if this game can do it on the PS2) it is 5 times as fun, get it for PC.

This game has next to no flaws and is definately a great game. The only thing I found wrong with the game is that it seemed too short and it left me wanting more at the end. The story? You take on the role of Parker, a minor on Mars for Ultor Corporation. People looking to make some money go to Mars to work in the mines and are supposedly treated very well. Parker arrives there to find that everything he has been told is untrue. The Food is horrible, the barracks is horrible, and the gaurds regularly beat on the miners just for kicks. A rebel group knows as Red Faction stars posting flyers promoting their cause. One day, Parker witnesses the beating of another miner. A riot breaks out as members of Red Faction begin assulting the gaurds and attempting to break from Ultor's control. Parker, caught up in the chaos, has one choice. Kill or be killed.

Throughout the game, you are contacted by Red Faction with objectives of sorts. Few of these objectives require stealth, however, so the game is mostly just run in and blow everything up. Weapons range from control batons to rocket launchers. You also have the opportunities to control vehicles during the game such as a ATV, a Aesir Fighter (jet), and a submarine, all of which have their own unique weapons. The Geo mod technology (this and Red Faction 2 are the only games that use Geo mod) allows you to blow up almost everything, and by doing so you may uncover special items. There is almost non-stop action and the frame rate never falters. The only downside to all this greatness is the game loads often (quick little loads rather than huge waits). The graphics are amazazing considering geo mod is fairly new, and the sound and music goes well with the game.

There is a multiplayer mode that allows 1-2 human players and 0-4 bots. If you've ever played Half-Life online with other people, this is practically the same. It's a fast paced kill fest and the only way out it to win. The only mode is deathmatch. The multiplayer isn't that great on the ps2, and if you want a real multiplayer experience I would buy the PC version which allows several players simultaneously.

If you like games where your objective is to kill kill kill, then this is the game for you. The game is fairly short and will leave you wanting more at the end, but it is definately a jump in the right direction for PS2 First Person Shooter games.

i strongly recommend this game for you. with geo mode you can creat tunnels and sneek up on the enemy or shoot him with the rail driver through the wall.

controls are great, grapics are great, storys great, great suppliy of weapons, and you also get to use ships and vehicles. One of the greatest ps2 fps ever.

this was one of the best games i've ever played and the story line is awsome too. the geo technology is totaly awsome and it made the game twice as cool! If you have a PS2 and you don't buy this game you just wasted a perfectly good PS2. this will certainly be the best game around for a looooonnnnngggg while.
