Red faction is probaly the best first person shooter ive played since 007 for N64. I was pleasantly surprised w/ the game play and the weaponry the game provided. I definite purchase-

p.s.- i cant wait for the 007 shooter to come out for the ps2-

You play the game but once you beat it, it gets REALLY boring. After you beat it all you can do is play Multiplayer because you already know what happens. But other wise it was a great game!!

i bought this game, because i liked the sample of it that i had on a sampler, and it rocks! it is as much fun and addictive as nintendo's bond series. and it isn't a flop like some of those bond games on ps1. this game is one of the best games i have ever played! you can even destroy the place, like you should be able to! you can't find the key to a door? just blast your way around it! and the graphics are unbelieveable. the realism of this game is great. it is a lot of fun to toss mines at people and blow them up, or start them on fire with the flame torch. you have to get this game!

Red Faction:it's fun.when you kill people on this game,you can hide there bodies.Throw them off a cliff if you want.The controls are kinda hard but you can switch the controls to make it easyer to play.You can blow the walls up on this mug.Dog man I was playing,i got to this part i was in a back of the jeep,I was shooting while a red faction member was Driving this Game is Cold.Don't Get me starting on the shotgun,man when you shoot that mug the dude goes flying,like i said before and i'll said it again this game is only missing RVD

Despite some minor flaws, nevertheless, great game!

Red Faction may draw inspiration from a handful of typical first-person shooters, but unlike games that appear to do the same, such as Turok 3, Red Faction's Geo-Mod Technology is simply unreal. However, as incredible as Red Faction is, don't be mistaken, Red Faction does have it's share of drawbacks--an anticlimactic conclusion that leaves much of the plot ambigious, a dull stretch of gameplay roughly halfway through, and a few moments that are less challenging than they are just painfully god damn hard--yet in the end, it's a great big game with much to explore and enemies tough enough to make it's replay value high. FINALLY A GREAT PS2 FPS!

OK, I haven't played Doom or Half-Life. But I have played Quake and Red Faction, as well as Timesplitters and Aliens versus Predator. While ALL of these are great games, Red Faction is simply the best. Fast load times, great GeoMod technology. and great graphics really boost it right up there. The only problem is the framerate, which is slow at times. Plus the game is way too easy. But this can be overlooked when you see it as the best FPS to date.

Over the years I have come to appreciate games like half-life and Goldeneye. Then I got Ps2. I then saw a commercial for red faction. I was stunned. I rented the game immediately. I then bought it. We have really good surrond so when i'm alone in the house I crank up the volume. I was pleasently surprised at the A.I. I then mastered the game. I one killed three guards who had rifles while dodging them and to celing guns. This game is the best since half-life. I've heard their making half-life for Ps2!
Buy or rent the game.

This was a good fps for the ps2 but had a lacking multiplayer mode...

Assume the role of Parker, a worker toiling in mines run by the Ultor Corporation far beneath the surface of Mars. The miners are suffering from inhuman living conditions and a strange, deadly disease called the Plague that is suddenly sweeping through their ranks. The miners' anger and resentment are ready to boil over, and it's up to you to provide the spark to start a rebellion against Ultor. Your goal is to stay alive long enough to bring down Ultor and solve the mystery of the Plague. This journey spans from gritty subterranean mines to Ultor's pristine science and nanotech labs to the surface of Mars and even onto satellites orbiting high above the planet.

This game is a must for FPS fans. It has new technolgy that allows you to breck the walls and some structers with heavy aritilary. While this is a cool trick it doesn't get implimented that offten in the game and could have been played without it.

This is a FPS with in the idea of the single player. It is long and immersive. The game shines here the controls and the graphics (for the most part) are great. The only thing that outshines the graphics and story is the great sound FX and atomospher. The high tech world and sound plays out alot like Half Life. Good stuff.

The inclusion of a miltiplayer game is also good but nothing to special, still it helps replay value.

A perfect game by destroying and making sniping holes tunnels to place to place and weapons!
A must buy if your a fan of shooters! But another thing is that if you like demolishing things up with explosives BUY IT!!!!!
(but not as good as some shooters)
