I loved this game and every bit about it. There are amazingly realistic guns, tons of action, and a great plot and multiplayer.

there is 1 flaw. I found it a little short. all in all it is great. you wont put it down

Either you have this game, really want this game, or don't yet realize that you really want this game!! This is the best game I have played on my PS2 so far, and I have played quite a few very good games, such as Grand Turismo 3, Ace Combat 4, and ATV Offroad Fury. So? What are you waiting for? GO BUY IT NOW!!!

Real cool game for a first person shooter

Not being a fan of first person shooters I was really surprised at how cool this game is! I really enjoyed how you play in a total 3D all direction type of game! The new Geo Mod is something that is long over due with first person shooters. If you dont like going one direction you can blow holes in the walls with explosives or your rocket launcher and go another way!

Cool story line, I also really love the different type of vehicles you can use to run over or blow up the enemy! 4 out of 5 stars, if you are a first person shooter fan this is a must have!

As far as FPS go this has got to be one of the most in-depth and most amazingly beautiful games I have played on the PS2. This game is very involved and provides a well written story as well. Red faction is extremely fluid and has the cool feature of being able to blow up just about anything, and being a DOOM graduate this game is a fresh breath to FPS. This game has alot to offer, the only problem I had with this game was the learning curve both with the controller and when you try a higher difficulty level. It tends to be a bit steep. There is a ton of replay value as well with this game, so if you don't have this one in your library go out and get this one NOW! You will not be disappointed.

This is your run of the mill half-life wannabe. I think people latched on to it because it was early in the PS2 lifecycle. There are moments when you are really drawn in, but most of the time it's lacking all the little touches and creativity that made half-life great. The multiplayer is really nothing more than a glorified goldeneye, which may be some people's bag (definitely not mine).

To those of you who threw this game down the toilet saying it was too hard or too easy, get your head out. This game was by no standards easy, I constantly found myself checking and rechecking placs for porgressive things I might have missed. Plus it is reasonably long and unless you are the type of sloucher who can sit down, and play a game for 9 hours staright, this game gives you fairly decent playing time. Also, everyone's freaking out about the mercs, the mercs tis and the mercs that. They're not THAT hard! For the ones with rail drivers you can simply run zigzagged untill you get to (or past them). If you're freaked out about the few who have fusion rocket launchers (not that friggen many), their shots are so slow you can dodge most of them. For anyone else, a few precision rifle shots will take them out. This game features good single play and an excellent multiplayer because you have the added ability to play against the computer in the multiplayer levels. The rail driver rocks!!! If you like long and challenging games, get the this one.

Ok this game is one of the coolest games i have ever played. I play tons of video games all the time so when i got this game i figured oh it will probably be just like some other game but a little better. I was wrong. This game is intense, i mean wow an insane shooter backed up by a vicious story, that is hard to come by and the game still be good!

Hey everyone, I would recommend getting this game. I am renting it right now, and its awesome. Its just not a game where you shoot a bunch of guys, it has that in it, but you are involved in a thick plot. This plot will make you tense up the entire game. Easy controlling after a while of practice, awesome effects. You can shoot a pillar w/ a rocket launcher and the pillar will collapse. Buy this game...

This game is the one of the best games of its type. If you like 1st person shooter games then this is it. Very Dynamic scenery meaning you can blow up or destroy just about anything. If there is a wall in your way, for example, you can use explosives to move it!!!! Pretty Cool huh?!!! And with four different difficulty levels the game just gets harder as you beat more and more of it. Anyother cool thing is you can drive vehicles that are just laying around. Just jump in and go! Multiplayer is pretty cool too. And there are twenty levels so its not a game your gonna beat in 2 seconds. Overall, one of the best games out for PS2 (just behind Grand theft auto 3!!!!) Get it its a keeper!!!!!
