Hello. This is a great game, but it has its flaws. Let's start with the good parts:

This game lets you drive one of four taxis, each with a different driver. Here's a list of them.

#1- Axel, a man probably in his twentys with green hair, has a basic cab with not many decorations.

#2- B.D Joe, a man probably in his late twentys, is a rapper-type guy with another basic cab. Nothing really special here.

#3- Gena, a woman probably in her thirtys, has red hair and is supposed to be sexy (sorry, really I am). She also has the fastest cab in MY opinion. Also nicely decorated.

#4- Gus, my favorite player, is a guy PROBABLY in his late fortys or early fiftys, has a small, unique cab.

Well, I say get this game, even though there is MILD language. I hope you still leave my review on, Amazon, but in this game they say the word damn. They also say the other word besides donkey. All in all, a very fun game. Please buy!

a funny game!

this game is way too funny.this review might be a little late. but any way at the beging of this game its showing the main menu.theres this wild man who says its party time lets have some fun!go to either arcade mode or any other mode.when you play you have to pick a chacter.the chacaters are called axel,b.d.joe,gena,and gus.pick b.d. joe hes awesome!in the game you go aruond picking up people and knocking things over.you have to get the person to thier place if you dont make it in time they will jump out or if you get there late they say you [stink]!i wonder if there going to make crazy taxi 2 for ps2.i got this game for chistmas.this game will just make you laugh.buy it!it is funny.you dont have to. but if i were you id buy it!

I had some problems with this game originally with backgrounds and such disappearing but the game was still fun. I exchanged it for another one and all the problems were gone! If you have problems with it exchange it! What an exellent game though, I never played the DC version but this is just pure unadulterated fun.

Crazy taxi

This game is very fun to play but has a few problems with it. The first problem is that there are only to different places to drive in. The second is that there is no object to the game except to recieve an S license. Also there is not a great varity of music to listen to while playin this game. The controls are also somewhat difficult to use when you buy Crazy taxi. The taxi often slides on the ground causing the driving to be very difficult. This game is a good game to buy just to have fun, but if your looking for a game that has an object to it like driver then this game should be rented instead.

Fun game, too buggy

I bought this game excited to play it. As I picked up my fares I earned lots of cash. I picked up another fare, turned the corner and a new world was revealed. It was a place where the cars drive on air. There was no roads, no buildings, no trees, just cars driving. Although this bug was cool at first, it soon became very annoying as it happend so many times. I could not tell where I was going and it made the game no fun. After that the game froze up. It froze up 2 times and I had been playing it for only one hour. The worlds must have been too big or somthing because the system could not load the map in time for me to play it. This game is rated a 4 for the fun factor but if I were to rate the graphics and playability, it would be a 1. These bugs made the game no fun so I returned the next day and got Red Faction, a great game.

Like Most PS2 Games, Too Short

After all the good things I'd heard about the Dreamcast version I was really excited to hear they were porting Crazy Taxi to PS2. The graphics and sound are pretty good, and gameplay is great! Possibly one of the most fun games out there. Unfortuneatly, like most PS2 games, the game is very short. You only get 2 cities in which to drive around and the game's fun can only last so long. They needed to add at least two more cities to make this game worth the money, for now I'd rent it and pass on buying it.

Extremely buggy

The game is buggy ... . I played it 3 times, and all 3 times it locked up to the point where i had to shut off the console unit and start it back up again. Also, the graphics disappear while your playing and you can't see where you're going. Great job in the quality assurance lab my Acclaim!!! DO NOT BUY

Personally, I found this game to be one of the most entertaining games for dreamcast, FOR DREAMCAST. As far as I can tell, with the research I have done, there will be no update in graphics or sound while being transfered to PS2. This is my reason in saying it is a good game for dreamcast at $, but for the exact same game for more? Give me a break! I love this game, but not enough to be ripped off. I will wait till the price drops, then I'll get it, I suggest you do the same.

Crazy Taxi is a fast and furious game as you race through the town streets! The Graphics are awesome except, when ever you hit a car no damage is shown on your car. You can't kill people but if you hit them they will say a BAD WORD. Crazy Taxi is a non stop action game. If picking up customers isn't your thing, there's another option, playing about 10 mini-games! The instruction book gives no directions how to speed up, slow down, shift into reverse, or shift into drive. All though it does give you directions on bonus controls and what the drivers specials are. The game come with 2 instruction books. Over all it's one of the best games out there!

I played this at my friend's house a while ago, and after a couple of minutes, I was begging to play another game. This game just doesn't work. It's boring, the graphics aren't good, and the storyline does not have much in it. Despite these bad features, this game can get very fun during free ride. Have fun driving around like a maniac while smashing into stuff. Back to the bad stuff. This game isn't half as good as a game that is very similar to it-Smuggler's Run. Smuggler's Run has better graphics, better gameplay, better story line, and is just more fun. I'm sorry SEGA and Aklaim, but I had to give Crazy Taxi 2/5.
